Technically Tingle and originally :4bowserjr:. And he still gets crap but people ignore it for the sole fact he brought along the Koopalings who has been getting hell for the past 3 years
I'd say Waluigi over Bowser Jr. A lot of Jr's hate came form older fans (like myself) thinking he took the Koopalings place. Now that it's been shown that they can co-exist side by side, most of the hate has dissipated.

Tingle's hatebase makes me physically uncomfortable.

Most of them don't hate him for any negative character traits that he has (which if you've heard of or played his spin-offs, he does have a few), but because he's a different type of masculinity than the prominently straight male fanbase of gaming is used too.

''Tingle's gay. He's too effeminate." is not a solid nor valid reason to hate Tingle. That comes from a very very very dark place for me if that's the reason you don't like Tingle.

Is it okay to dislike him for being "super lame?"

Well, that's opinion based and not something that you can discredit nor prove as it's a case by case basis.

I don't see how someone as colorful and vibrant a character as he can be? Could really be lame.

But more power to you.

I never thought his hate was because of that, I thought it was from Sunshine because how annoying he was (and every other character not named Mario) and Scrappy Doo syndrome

Scrappy Doo syndrome is more than him simply being annoying.

Scrappy Doo is also hated because he came at a time the quality of Scooby Doo cartoons were on a down hill slope. He only added to it.

He was also an implanted new character, and at the time Velma, Fred and Daphne were totally subjective and not necessary, however he was always around and took priority over them, he came in as this loud annoying little character who replaced half the core beloved cast.

There were many many factors that got Scrappy to the level of hate he has when it comes to the Scooby Doo franchise.

You know there's also that time now where he flipped out and tried to kill his old friends and a lot of humanity with them as well.

I agree that's not a valid reason to hate him.
However I'd say "taking a massive **** in your wallet in the Wind Waker" is a very valid reason.

I don't necessarily hate Tingle, but I don't like him that much either. I really, really don't want him in Smash though, no matter how hilarious his interpretation in HW was.

I suppose, but I find it's silly to hate a character based on one ****ty ****ty action.

But again as I said to each their own.

I think he has a unique sort of vibrance that only he brings to the Zelda series. I think he's the champion face of the series more zanier elements.

1.I like to pretend that movie never existed

2.That technically fits Krystal to a tee. People blame her for the quality of the Star Fox series going down but not the gameplay more so.

Nope, gotta blame furries because they are the sole reason to what happen to the series pre-Zero.

And this is why no one liked Moneybags in Spyro.

Greedy prick

Toasting Moneybags' *** at the end of 3 was so satisfying.

That movie was golden. Fight me about it.

It was silly and stupid. And not meant to be serious.

Just like Scooby Doo is suppose to be.

There's nothing serious about a bunch of teenagers driving around in a van with their talking dog solving mysteries and money and land embezzlement schemes.

All the while making you wonder? Where are their parents? (Which is something I liked that most recent show for, at least they're you saw family members.) Why does no care about these kids? Where are the milk cartoons with their faces on them?

Nothing makes sense about Scooby Doo.

It might just be because I'm a 22 year old who has a massive love from watching Scooby Doo everything growing up with my parents who were also fans. Then on top of that becoming a Buffy/Sarah Michelle Gellar fan on top of that through other means that I love the two live action movies though.

Again. I'm not seeing reasons of why he's lame.

I mean people celebrate Groose for a lot of the same over the top flamboyant ideals that Tingle holds.

Sure, Tingle's more extreme, but still Groose is just as silly and out of place in his game as Tingle is in his origin games.

I honestly don't feel for much of the Zelda side characters, Tingle and Groose fall under that.

That's part of it, I think. A lot of people like their Zelda more serious than not.

Personally, I like a lot of the more whimsical elements in Zelda, but most of them are come from a more child-like place of wonder and magic. Things like the 4 swords and the minish cap are awesome. Tingle is silly and over the top just to be silly and over the top, and for whatever reason he just doesn't jibe with me in the same way.

I thought his implementation in Hyrule Warriors was pretty neat, though.

Look man, I got guilty pleasures too. For God sakes, I unironically enjoyed Street Fighter the Movie, the first Bayformers movie, Mean Girls and Ready to Rumble. But you gotta admit those movies aren't even atleast bit good. Average maybe but not good.

Didn't they bring him back in the later games, I never played any of the post PS1-era Spyro games

I don't know I've never believed in the concept of guilty pleasures.

Nothing is guilty to me. Especially in the land of entertainment.

Why should you feel guilty for liking what you like?

I saw the Legend of Chun-Li in theatres, and it quickly became one of my favorite terrible movies. Mostly because Chris Klein's performance as Charlie Nash was one of the most amazingly horrible things I have ever seen.

I love how they can turn one of the coolest Street Fighter characters into... that.

And since we're on the topic of guilty pleasures, has anyone ever seen the Malaysian dub of Dragon Ball Z? You're missing out if you haven't.

Yeah this. I like as lot of the weird things in Zelda but Tingle never clicked for me. He just seems creepy to me.
But as you also said, he's well integrated in Hyrule Warriors.
What's odd is Ghirahim is equally as weird as Tingle, but I love Ghirahim.
Postman = Best Zelda Character ever
I mean he was in Majora's Mask, Twilight Princess, Wind Waker and even in Mario Sunshine!
Now this is a weirdo I DO love. I wish he was more than a costume in Hyrule Warriors.

God, I hate Legend of Chun-Li so much but that Nash was cheesy and funny as hell. Also great that Michael Clark Duncan played my main and why did they make Liu Kang play Gen

Ive always liked tingle. But i dont think i ever got far enough into WW to deal with his payments so all i got was he was this quirky little dude and i thought that was cool.

When it comes to guilty pleasures mine is probably the worst. Ive seen foodfight at least 3 times. It was so hillariously bad i had to watch it again.

If people give you crap for liking a movie.

They're the one with the bigger issue.

Life ain't that serious.

RE MOVIES!?!?

Screw those movies. Anything that kill Leon's character and make Him, Chris and Jill unless can eat a fat one. Milla Jovovich is a really bad actress as well.

Aww, I like Milla though. She's the only thing making the ****ty role and ****ty movies tolerable.

She's also just a genuinely enjoyable person on social media/interviews.

Don't blame her a bit for those movies. It's her husband that's the issue.

I feel like Paul W.S. Anderson keeps making the movies just because Milla needs work.

I'm trying to figure out why Capcom keeps funding those movies despite the reception. Atleast Sega told Uwe Boll to f*** off after House of the Dead blunder and same with Ubisoft after Far Cry movie.

They're made on a 'b' movie budget and are popular enough that they always make enough money relative to their cost to produce.
