Like, PK Fire is ridiculous in lag. That's the problem.
It's more or less a move used to punish and get a grab.

So, for everyone interested in seeing every footages known of paper jam, I made a playlist containing 7 videos all lasting around a bit more than an hour and a half:

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL7HNrF1hqOEDL5NJqxX5bF6JiNP4Nr1V3

It has the trailer, the treehouse segment, a 34 minutes offscreen that has the intro (you need to see the intro, best thing ever) and 4 videos by gamexplain in great quality.

So, far, i really love the world design in the stealth quest because lots of sticker star and TTYD influence. Just a little stuff, the letter on the flag for paper mario is P, they didn't even put PM :)
Does that mean you're more receptive of it now? I think this game was my favorite shown during Nintendo.

I don't play FG anymore. My mind refuses to handle the horde of scrubs singing "I'm no Superman."
Speaking of FG, I played some today (with my parents commentating the matches, much to my chagrin. >:I), and I remembered why I don't play it much.

1. Lots of lag
2. Falcon
3. Ryu
4. I'm a bad Smash player

However, I did get a bit better. I had a good clean run of Classic 9.0 with Roy, it was really good. Beat Master Fortress with both lives still in tact, it was that good of a run.

When I see threads about the ballot on gamefaqs, I can't help but think it's got peoples hopes up too high.

I read on Wikipedia that the WiiU as of March this year has lifetime sales of 9.5 million. Less than half of the Gamecube's but when you look at the PS4 and XBone's sales, it's clear it's more the market for home consoles not being as strong as it was. WiiU is still the weakest link among them.

Though here's something to think about. The 3DS is going on five years old now.

So how's everyone doing this fine mornin.
Well I'm doing fine after getting pieces of glass stuck in my right hand and in the middle of my left middle finger I was absolutely dripping blood everywhere I was trying to help my dad move a refrigerator and it bumped into a window in a door I let go of it for a second and when I grabbed the top, shards of glass got stuck in my hand and somehow in the middle of my middle finger I dripped blood all over the kitchen.

This. I was really nervous about Lucas's chances of getting in prior to his confirmation but now that he is in, I don't have to worry about :4lucas: anymore. Whenever or not he returns for a future installment remains to be seen but since I'm not getting another proper Smash game, the question is irrelevant to me.
Unrelated, but looking at your sig made me realize how much more hyped I would have been for a FF6 or Chrono Trigger remake than I was for FF7.

Seriously Nintendo, pay some money to Square-Enix for exclusive rights (or at least first rights) to a full 3D Chorno Trigger remake on the Wii U/NX and you'll easily win back all your lapsed gamers.

Doubting we'll see it till' late 2017.
It doesn't matter if the NX doesn't come out until 2017 as it has seemingly already affected Wii U software production. I doubt we'll see any big Wii U games beyond Zelda now.

Speaking of Chrono Trigger, I was thinking about potential Square Enix characters in Smash if ever there was one and even though I'd prefer Black Mage, it seems like you could easily justify Crono from Chrono Trigger based on it's success on the SNES.
Dunno how reliable Wikipedia is though. It outsold FF on the SNES.
I'm not sure whether the popularity of Chrono Trigger is closer to Earthbound or something like Final Fantasy 7.

I can't help at think Nintendo's strategy is amiibo and DLC as a holdover. Still, some of the best games for systems come out in their last days.

Chrono Trigger really was huge back in the 16 bit days. Some of you younger folks might not realize it, but it felt bigger than Final Fantasy when it first hit.

Graphically it blew every other JRPG out of the water, the character designs were great, and while it may seem silly now (especially when Bioware games that let you make decisions about everything exist) it was kind of mind blowing that the game gave you as much freedom as it did (you could beat the game and get a different ending at almost any point in the game, and time traveling to the past had consequences in the future.)

Chrono Trigger also has another Nintendo connection. Many of the developers that now work at Monolith Soft actually worked on the title. They formed the basis for the main team of the group that came together to make Chrono Cross and Xeno Gears before leaving Square.

Man, I wish I was born one decade earlier (1986).
I basically just missed all the best events in gaming. Never got to really experience the Super Nintendo or the Sega Genesis...or the war between the two.

I don't know much about Chrono Trigger though, I just noticed that it was pretty popular. If any Square Enix RPG gets represented in Smash it should give something to the others as well, because they all have an impact.

The Chrono series honestly could have been huge. People were really looking forward to the sequel, and while Cross was a cool game, it wasn't exactly what people wanted. Square just abandoned the series after that.

More fun trivia: Xenogears was originally Chrono Trigger 2. You can even find old promotional material that refers to it as that. (The script was also briefly considered for Final Fantasy 7 before it was deemed "too dark.")

I grew up on the Sega Genesis. Reason why I love the Sonic series. Plus my other first games were NBA Jam, Street Fighter 2, Streets of Rage 2 and Mortal Kombat 2. Incredible games that shaped my early 3-5 year old self. Then had an N64 with F-Zero X, Mario Kart, California Speed, MK Trilogy, Madden 2001 and WCW/NWO Revenge. PS1 with Crash 3, Spyro 3, Resident Evil 2, Tomb Raider, Grand Tursimo and Ape Escape. And last the Dreamcast with Sonic Adventure, NFL/NBA 2K, Marvel vs Capcom, MK Gold, NBA Showtime and Resident Evil Code Veronica (That game is still trash)

I had a mixture of a childhood. Adolescent was mostly Xbox, GC, GBA and then got a PSP in my middle school

I can't open that page. What exactly happened?
so what i heard from yesterday and from the translation thread at Smashboards:
>Takamaru was considered but despite being known to certain amount of Japanese Nintendo fans, he wasn't much popular around a good majority of Nintendo fans.
>Mewtwo is just about ready
>Ashley's star continues to grow and is now seen as a series regular. characters such a Crygor and Jimmy T.'s family got a long way to go and can rely on luck to appear.

link to youtube.com (the long ass interview)
link to smashboards.com/page-28 (the translation thread now set on private for some apparent reason.)
and there's an article of it at IGN (via GameFAQs)

So...they made it seem like Ashley was a bigger deal to Nintendo than she actually is?
They said I translated something about Ashley's star power, and they used the leaks group as a source. The are using the page that I posted the Takamaru in Smash for 3DS/Wii U information on. Expect..I never wrote such a thing :p.

Oh, so what they said is true it was just falsely attributed to you/the leaks group?

i feel like it'd be black mage (or an equivalent e.g. moogle or cloud) rather than crono just because of how much FF has done for rpgs
DQ has done a lot too so you could justify a slime but its popularity is mostly in japan, while FF has worldwide appeal
including crono would be along the lines of including lloyd

Someone is trying to tell me that Sora is iconic enough to be in Smash...
Well.....he's not lying but we don't want anything KH related into Smash before getting FF in there which is a bigger deal.

Sora is a sort of 'iconic' character problem is he's less Nintendo than Cloud for God sakes.
