nah, I always thought Raichu would play like 64 Pikachu.I'd imagine he'd play like Pikachu with stronger attacks and maybe longer tail range.

Pichu would be the same thing from Melee. Though I would be interested if it got custom moves.

What would be amazing is if Pichu was brought back, and he could do all of the old melee tech like wavedashing, L-cancelling, DI and SDI, chaingrabing, ledgehogging, etc. But its all exclusive to him.

Ive wanted Slippy, but I think that Krystal has always been more optional because of the Staff, female character status and whatnot. You know, just get Slippy some machinery implemented into his moveset (Besides the blaster and reflector) and not some sort of Frog Flash that causes tripping (Altohugh, it wouldnt be a bad idea >_>)

A petition for something media related has never worked to my knowledge.
Honestly, the people who signed that petition deserve to have the game come out.

I'd say it's better to have a spin-off in a universe than have that universe be dead and buried forever. The sooner people understand a Metroid spin-off is better than nothing with the Metroid label on it? The better.
At least it means that Nintendo is still thinking about that franchise.
It's more than a lot of other franchises get and you never see them complaining or complaining now.

One thing i don't think people realize is that even if we wont get a wii u metroid a 2d new 3ds metroid is still possible and it still very likely.Atleast were getting something metroid related better than some franchises(F-zero,Sin & punishmen, golden sun just to name a few)

And if anything this sounds like if it might have a story they just haven't touched on yet, which could lead into another installment of Prime. If you consider what the developer just said about wanting to focus on the Galactic Federation before getting into his dream Prime 4.

On a serious note, it was stated that we'd see the tournament mode sometime in August. This is DLC two months after June, and June's DLC was two months after April's. With the two free slots that we know of, does anybody expect more characters in August?

It's been discussed a few times over the past couple days.
A lot of us (myself included) think there's a very real possibility of it happening. @PushDustIn thinks so too, if I recall correctly.
Even if there is no character in August, I think we're getting more than just Tournament Mode (I also think we're getting the Youtube upload function, Mii Costumes, and the two N64 stages that were shown off).

With the way how fans work, I doubt it. People will be people; salt levels will always increase, because we really should waste our time doing petitions to cancel a game just to show a person's hatred.
Honestly I want it to be 2016 already just to know what the **** the NX is, and if Prime 4 goes from being a dream to a real thing.

You're right, all the new announced games actually are spin-offs...
Technically, even Paper Jam is a spin-off... a crossover spin-off... of two spin-offs.
By the way, in Europe the game is called "Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam Bros.", so I will confuse it again every time!
Like I did with "Dream Team" and "Dream Team Bros."!
And "Rhythm Heaven" and "Rhythm Paradise"...
And "Duck Hunt" and "Duck Hunt Duo" (and "Duck-Hunt-Duo" [German version])...
And "Pushmo/Stretchmo" and "Pullblox/Fullblox"...

I do agree with what someone else said on this thread though (cant remember who, sorry), that this game would have gone down substantially better if we had confirmation of a new main metroid being made and then this announced as the "and while you wait you can play" game
