They're showing Xenoblade Chronicles X on the treehouse stream.
And I think this means they're going to use American voice actors in the game :(
Come on Nintendo of Europe UK voice actors need to eat to...
No they don't, none of them even have teeth!

Well, aren't the characters in the game actually Americans?
My point is that I'm sick of hearing American voice actors in games that are localised to England. The American English and UK English are actually very different. So I'm sick of never seeing any of the nuances of the UK English in game localised to the UK.

I'm working on something, can anyone give me games that while technically good were disappointments due to expectations? I'm talking Metroid Federation Force and Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts deals.
Metroid Prime: Hunters, for one.

Good on a graphical and gameplay level, but not what most people would have wanted.

You know....

I think these games would have gotten less flack if Nintendo said these things at the beginning.

Metroid Prime Federation Force needed plot details.

Amiibo Festival needed the price.

Fire Emblem really needed the tiny little detail about it being 2 games, rather than advertise it as a single game with 2 routes.

On second thought I might buy some of the AC amiibos, I was planning on getting at least Nook and Isabelle anyways.

That's what the developer segments (what are they called again) SHOULD have been used for. Those two games in particular NEEDED explanation and not just a trailer. Something like Yoshi (sorry I keep picking on it) did not need 10 minutes of background. We know what's up with that game already.

So, I watched the SMTxFE section of yesterday's livestream and it looks pretty good.

Very anime though. VERY anime. But it's not as bad as some things I've seen. Just wished they'd shown some of the gameplay though, instead of that trailer making it look like the most embarrassingly anime thing ever. It also seems like it takes a bit from both Persona and SMT, which is interesting.

I'm excited to see more of it in the future, especially when it's in English.

This is very True.
Yoshi comes out here in a week here in the UK.
It did not need the explanation.

Apparently the direct has been leaked since a few months ago.
https://archive.moe/v/thread/298658471/#298664391

>Dr Mario
>roy and ryu
>chibi robo
>Mother 1 release in anticipation for the sequels finally being localized

>Hyrule warriors 3DS.
>Twilight Princess and Mario sunshine N3DS remakes

Half this **** has been confirmed and **** like the Mother 1 Release, Chibi Robo and HW3D can't be lucky guesses

>Roy and Ryu
>Chibi Robo
>Mother 1
>New Platinum Game(Transformers? Maybe there's a Nintendo-exclusive one being announced today though)

On top of SMS and TP3D, we're also getting Animal Crossing Wii U, F-Zero and Metroid.

So, how many more DLC characters are we expecting for Smash 4? Just curious.
I am thinking two at the minimum and five at the most. 50/50 on whenever or not we get more than two DLC characters (AKA the two Marios).

I'm hoping that the six DLC characters are all pre-ballot so that Pichu might have a shot of being DLC.

Honestly, I don't think anything has changed between now and then.
oh yeah, actually, i'm gonna build on something @ Naoshi Naoshi (i think) did around the time of wii u release and mentioned again the other night
it's about stages and music
this assumes that primary music being used disconfirms a stage.
also this is all going off of the Wii U version.
64:
Peach's Castle
Mushroom Kingdom
Yoshi's Island (music is on Melee Yoshi's Island)
Kongo Jungle
Hyrule Castle

Planet Zebes
Dream Land
Sector Z
Saffron City

Melee:
Princess Peach's Castle (music is on Delfino Plaza)
Rainbow Cruise (music is on Delfino Plaza)
Mushroom Kingdom (secondary music is on Flat Zone X)
Mushroom Kingdom II (secondary music is on Flat Zone X)
Yoshi's Island
Yoshi's Story (music is on Woolly World)
Kongo Jungle (music is on Jungle Hijinxs)
Jungle Japes
Temple
Great Bay (music is on Temple; secondary music unaccounted for)
Brinstar (music is on Norfair)
Brinstar Depths (music is on Norfair)
Green Greens (music is on Great Cave Offensive)
Fountain of Dreams (music is on Dream Land 64)
Corneria (music is on Orbital Gate Assault)
Venom (music is on Lylat Cruise)
Pokemon Stadium (music is on Pokemon Stadium 2)
Poke Floats (music is on Pokemon Stadium 2)
Mute City (music is on Port Town Aero Dive, which is also almost functionally identical)
Big Blue (music is on Port Town Aero Dive and Wrecking Crew)
Onett
Fourside
Icicle Mountain (music is on Wrecking Crew; secondary music unaccounted for but it's just the original Balloon Trip song so)
Flat Zone (for all intents and purposes)

Brawl:
Mario Bros. (music plays on 75m and Wrecking Crew, except for Famicom Medley (SSBB), Power-Up Music, and Murasame Castle Overworld)
Mushroomy Kingdom (music is on Mushroom Kingdom U and Luigi's Mansion, except for Ground Theme 2, Gritzy Desert, and Underground Theme)
Delfino Plaza
Luigi's Mansion
Mario Circuit

Yoshi's Island (music is on Woolly World, except for Yoshi's Island (SSBB))
Rumble Falls (music is on Kongo Jungle 64 and Jungle Hijinxs, except for DK Jungle and Simian Segue/Bonus Room Blitz)
75m
WarioWare, Inc. (music is on Gamer, except for Mike's Song and Mona Pizza's Song)
Bridge of Eldin
Pirate Ship (music is on Temple and Skyloft, except for The Great Sea, Vs. Molgera, and Termina Field)
Norfair
Frigate Orpheon (music is on Pyrosphere, except for Metroid Prime Theme)
Halberd
Lylat Cruise
Pokemon Stadium 2

Spear Pillar (music is on Pokemon Stadium 2 and Kalos Pokemon League, except for Team Galactic Battle (SSBB))
Port Town Aero Dive
New Pork City (music is on Onett, except for Isn't This Such a Utopia?/You Call This a Utopia?! and Humoresque of a Little Dog)
Summit (music is on Wrecking Crew, Duck Hunt, and Boxing Ring, except for Balloon Trip (SSBB))
Castle Siege
Flat Zone 2
Skyworld

Distant Planet (music is on Garden of Hope and Miiverse, except for World Map (SSBB), Ai no Uta, and Tane no Uta)
Smashville
PictoChat (music plays on Wii Fit Studio, Wuhu Island, Duck Hunt, Flat Zone X, and 75m, except for Mii Channel, Wii Shop Channel, Charge!, and Shaberu! DS Cooking Navi)
Hanenbow
Green Hill Zone (music is on Windy Hill Zone, except for Scrap Brain Zone, Emerald Hill Zone, Sonic Boom, and Super Sonic Racing)
Shadow Moses Island
I don't think it was me who compiled the original list. I can be wrong... my memory is kinda of bad. But thanks for bringing this up regardless!

But wow, if we assume the whole music disconfirmation theory true then there's barely any stages left to bring back. Just the remaining Smash 64 stages, Fourside, Jungle Japes and Shadow Moses Island (and that would only come back if Snake does).

Jungle Japes is already back on 3DS, anyway.

Just minus its original music for whatever reason (It uses N64 Kongo Jungle and Rocketbarrel instead).

Pichu support outta nowhere. Remind me of when I first singed up for Smash Boards and Meloetta was the flavor of the month.

I totally forgot to include Hanenbow. Did that stage had a song?

I hated the stage but loved the concept.

This game is just...bizarre.

The moment they called it a JPOP RPG I uhh....scratched my head.
This will likely be very polarizing and overall pretty alienating.

SMT fans want nothing to do with it, since it has very little of the dark SMT elements. And besides some of the characters like Chrom, it has very little Fire Emblem elements too.

So who is this game for?

>_>

Skyward Sword.

While I have no evidence, it seems clear to me that the game must have seen a late development upheaval, as it does not feel as big or as tightly designed as the games that came before it, despite the 5 year dev cycle.

It was also sold as an origin for the Master Sword, and did so in the dumbest way possible: The Master Sword is actually the powered up version of this other ancient and mysterious sword. So you never actually see the Master Sword get created. Then there was the whole 'Demise is the reason Ganon exists' chicken/egg scenario, since it explains one evil force of vague origin by introducing another evil force of vague origin.
I will always find it funny how Skyward Sword was supposed to be the game to finally put some questions about the Zelda lore to rest.

But all it did was raise even more questions.

So are Nintendo just failures at presentation.

Why was such an important detail left out Digital Event?

Hanebow was hot garbage

Please no, it was one of the wonkiest stages I've ever played
This made me chuckle a little more than it probably should have. "Hot garbage" haha.

I agree though, Hanenbow was absolutely horrible.

We don't know much of the story of SMTxFE, so it could have dark elements of SMT.

Although FE has had pretty dark themes in some games. FE4&FE5 are actually pretty dark when you look at all the character interaction and plots of both games

Not at my house, but let me know if they say anything interesting about Federation Force.
Level 5 is on not Next Level Games. Level are Prof Layton and Youkai Watch. Next Level Games are Punch-Out and Mario Strikers
