I'm pretty sure everybody looks at NSFW stuff. I mean, you can't just "not look" at NSFW stuff, otherwise how would you know it's NSFW? Also, there is a difference between searching NSFW stuff and looking at NSFW. When searching NSFW stuff, you're deliberately searching for NSFW stuff.
Meanwhile, "looking" at NSFW stuff happens even when searching for SFW stuff. Once you've looked at NSFW stuff while trying to look for SFW stuff, you've already looked at it, even if it wasn't intentional. You can't just un-look once you looked.

Karp and his cronies don't give a damn about the harmful content and never did. In fact, Karp often sold the site as a place with very little to non existent moderation as practically a feature, which was criticized FOR YEARS for this very same reason of gross pedophiles polluting the site. The only reason they're acting on it now is because they have something to gain from it, and they're taking the easy way out by just leaving everything to an awful algorithm that has been blocking practically any other post no matter how safe or not.

On top of that, the ban only affects VISUAL content. Which means these creeps they're half assed-ly trying to get rid of can still talk about their ****ed up ****. Meanwhile actual sex workers or (non gross) artists who were just using it as a platform actually get hit pretty hard by this.
