Okay, but can we talk about how we don't deserve Sakurai. This man's breather was probably really short. And he's just back at it with another Smash game immediately after so much hard work put into Smash 3DS/Wii U to make them as amazing as possible.

Nobody ever gives Sakurai enough credit.

Poor man never stops breaking himself in half working on these games and all most people give in return is insults because they didn't get their (usually tremendously idiotic) personal fantasies.

I know we're not supposed to thank video game developers for doing their jobs or anything, but gosh darn it Sakurai gets it too much in the other direction for the amount of work he puts in for me not to at least a bit.

I watched the Direct. It's a whole heck of a lot of ports along with possibly a new Smash at the end. To be honest, nothing surprised me, especially since a lot of port announcements had rumors backing them.

Well, we're eating crow today.​

Depends on if it's a new game or not. If so, then I'm on the same boat. It's been only two years since the last of Smash DLC, pretty short timing between that and the announcement. A new game would definitely show they're milking the franchise.

And so begins me watching almost nothing 106 times before tomorrow.

Thank goodness they didn't announce Smash years before we got anything information. Best of all, they topped off the Direct with the Inklings announcement, the best possible newcomer addition.

So...

Is it some enhanced port?

Or a new game?

I'm unsure myself. It seems really early for an entirely new game announcement. Regardless, we're getting Inklings so we're getting at least an enhanced port.

Konban wa...Grandma Shizuka has returned but only for a minute. I cannot believe there shall be a Smash for Switch! Instead of yelling out "holy ****!" or "oh my ****ing God" or anything like that, I just had to process this for ten minutes and calmly thank my Lord and Savior for bringing us another Smash. I do not care if it is a new game or even a port; I am just glad a new Smash is a reality.

Now, that is not to say I will dispose of my Wii U since Smash 4 is a blast and I have yet to get my hands on other games like Splatoon or Mario Party 10. Well, time for me to save up for a Switch.

Honestly, I agree that Sakurai deserves more credit. He has clear health problems, but he cares for us and makes the games. I love Sakurai as a developer, he deserves much more praise and love.
