Okaaaayyy I finally got back from work and caught up on the new DBS manga chapter and MHA S3 episode 3

Spoiler: DBS Chapter 35 Spoilers

What a lame chapter lmao.

While the chapter had some nice moments between Hit and Goku, the chapter overall was so... bleh. Nothing in the Hit vs. Jiren excited me at all bar Hit's Time Lag, and all that did was end in Hit getting ONE SHOT (???) into elimination. The paneling this chapter felt kind of off too; it did not convey the fight well at all. All in all, Hit vs. Jiren in the anime is the superior fight overall, and the fact that Hit was eliminated this early (5 minutes in) despite being U6's secret weapon is kind of ridiculous.

Honestly, the fight in the anime (Goku and Hit vs. Dyspo) emotionally resonated with me more because Hit vs. Goku was 10x better in the anime's U6 arc than the manga counterpart, meaning that manga Hit and Goku working together didn't really do much for me. Of course, if Hit's elimination means that means we get more focus on Caulifla and Kale soon, then I'm slightly more okay with that.

Also, as much as I like the art, there a lot of times where it looked like Jiren was turning into El Hermano, and I'm being completely serious when I say that.

Overall, its a 5.5/10 for me.

Conversely, this episode was pretty godlike. There were a ton of shots that were a sight to see, specifically the one where Deku is standing off to the side and the camera focuses on the night sky. I love the use of in-canon filler by bones to give other characters more focus, especially with Kirishima and Ojiro sparring; which makes a lot of sense since Kirishima would want his rock body to be stronger and Ojiro would want the same for his tail.

The metal music near the end of the episode where it showcases the villains sent a chill down my spine. Speaking of their introduction, I like that we get to see some semblance of personality early on in their introduction, with their banter between each other and what not.

Overall, the episode is an 8/10 for me.

Except his fear never really prevented him from doing anything. He still went and did stuff even if scared.

It was never debilitating and I think that's a cool thing that's a nice aspect about him.

He's a much more realistic version of the trope.

He outright crouches in corners and activates Daruk's Protection whenever near monsters.
Actually, there's no reason he should even be scared in the first place when his protection is seemingly unpenetrable.

I didn't see a problem with escorting Yunobo. He isn't hard to escort. Even without Ancient Arrows. Not to mention it was a nice change of pace from the other 3. The other 3 brought you into the action straight away and all 3 were fast paced. The escort bit could be at a pace of your own choice.

Either way, regardless of his character, it was still satisfying shooting him out of a cannon to attack the Divine Beast with. Which is also another thing that separates it from the other 3 Divine Beast battles, as the other 3 are fought with your bow whereas Rudania needs a cannon to shoot at it.

I actually enjoyed the escort mission. It took me 1 try to beat.

It took more tries to get into the goron robot thing.

I didn't really dislike the escort mission, but that's mainly because the thought of causing a volcanic eruption whenever I was caught was so epic I ended up being seen on purpose several times

Daruk and Yunobo meeting might be my favorite scene in the game so far.

That was cool for both characters.

Daruk gets confirmation that not only Gorons, but his line are still going strong.

Yunobo gets comfort and validation from seeing Daruk, his ancestor and hero. Not only that, Daruk gives him a sign of triumph with the fist in the air, inspiring Yunobo.

It's a pretty great scene and I wish the spirits interacted with the living more than they do.

Oh Ashley isn't bad (to me at least), but doesn't change how a lot of people were annoyed by her/dislike her.

I don't get the hype people give the DBS manga.

Like it has nearly all of the same problems (sometimes worse) than the anime but people give it a pass because reasons.

Personally, I don't think that Yunobo is a big coward, it's more like Link is just incredibly brave. Link is made out to be somewhat of a stoic prodigy in the game, after all.
