At this point in time, what is the point of the disco room... in general?

We're already pretty darn lax in our socials and you can do pretty much everything you could do in the Disco Room here, aside from spam (which you shouldn't be doing in the Disco Room either). So I have to ask, how lax do you want? We're almost discord level at times.

I agree that the disco room sucks as a payment incentive and the reason is, it doesn't do anything that the free sections on the site don't.

It's redundant and just another social. So why do we need another social?

I'm saying there is a fundamental flaw in the design because it's behind a pay wall which is free elsewhere on other sites which no one truly pays premium just for this room cause if they did it would be active. This concept has issues when without a popular person it dies.

The appeal of a Chatterbox, a Disco Room, or what have you is different than a off-topic forum. It's less controlled, it's more silly, sometimes spammy. It's a place where people can post things in a much more relaxed fashion. I feel this concept has a place on this site, just not behind a pay wall.

Disco Room - The only point of this board is to reward users for supporting the site by allowing ****posting (assuming it doesn't violate the bar minimum rules such as porn & advertising). Due to the more fluid structure the board offers it doesn't exactly occupy the same niche that regular social threads have. Funny thing is, older users believe it's hay day was 2009-2012 while the newer users here think it was 2014-2016. I'm sure it'll see a rebirth once traffic picks up again with the Switch game.

Groups - They were never really planned to exist after the Xenforo update and are sort of a gray area. They only came about after users in the original Smash 4 Speculation threads, not wanting to deal with the Character boards/New Users, begging Warchamp for their return. They were also supposed to have no post counts or likes and have a heavier Staff presence but due to the app not working well with Xenforo that never came about. They're currently up for debate in the Staff board as the Admins look forward.

Backroom - Somewhat of an oddity. It's basically the closest one gets to the private club here on the site due to the lack of definite ways to join (mostly because we're lazy). ****posting is allowed but due to the general age of the users the chaos is a lot more subdued, and is more or less, The Pool Room but actually active. Expect a lot of Simpsons, Futurama, & Seinfeld jokes vs. Memes/Anime gifs/10char posts. Grimer being the mascot is a reference to an old joke from Pre-Brawl.

Actually there was a point where many of us Staff members did. Many of us, myself included, were openly pushing for more structured guidelines for the Disco Room due to toxicity issues on the general site.

Something's odd with my phone after I went to try out some new pair of headphones...

Even I plug out any headphones or earphones, my phone will still be in headphone audio plugin... it doesn't go back to regular audio...

I try to reopen my phone and... it doesn't work... it's either my phone's UI or the earphone jack has a problem... I think the former is more possible. I can only wait for it to suddenly go back by itself or probably wait for a new patch... just don't know when.

I made Sully a 5 star unit just because I like her (I have a lot of top tier units alreafy, let's have some fun).

But I'm not sure how to make her anything other than a worse Oscar which I already have.

Her Atk is pretty poor, so you may want to either keep her Sapphire Lance, or use Triangle Adept, which already should help distinguish her from Oscar (whose best set is likely to involve something like a Firesweep Lance instead). With something like a Sapphire Lance and Swordbreaker (so basically keeping much of her default set), she can be a pretty effective anti-red unit. She also has not terrible Res, so you could do something with that, such as Berkut's Lance/Sapphire Lance + Distant Counter (probably replace with Fury or Triangle Adept if on a budget) + Red Tomebreaker/Quick Riposte. She can also run ploy skills reasonably well; best option for her would be Def Ploy, which you can get from 4* Arvis.

With her low Atk, you almost certainly want +Atk if you want her to be able to deal damage sometimes... even then, 30 Atk is a bit iffy these days. If you have +Atk you can probably drop Triangle Adept; if you went for something else like +Spd, she'll almost certainly need it. As for her bane, -HP or -Def are good options. Her default assist, Draw Back, is fine, or you can just stick Reposition on her like everyone else. :p For special, either Moonbow or Luna to help her low Atk, or Iceberg to play off her decent Res.

If I was building her and had all the resources I wanted, I would do:

- +Atk -HP
- Weapon: Berkut's Lance+, +Def refine
- Assist: Reposition
- Special: Iceberg
- A: Distant Counter
- B: Quick Riposte
- C: Def Ploy/some cavalry buff
- S: Distant Def

Why a +Def refine on the lance? Well, this setup would give her 34 Def/41 Res on enemy phase against ranged units, not counting any buffs you might have on her. That should let her deal with just about any type of ranged unit on enemy phase, while also giving her a decent chance against melee enemies as well (dragons in particular). Iceberg is her best special here, since that 41 Res will be converted into a nice 20 extra damage when it triggers.

If you're already covered for ranged Def tanks, you can give her the +Res refine instead and focus solely on mages with her, or even the +Spd refine so she will get doubled less often. I like mixed tanks a lot, however, since I find the nature of the game strongly favours units who can deal with any type of incoming damage.

- Assist: Reposition
- Special: Moonbow/Luna/Iceberg

- C: Def Ploy/some cavalry buff
- S: Close Def

If you can't spare a Distant Counter, she might be better served focusing on dealing with incoming sword and dragon units instead. Berkut's Lance is still a good option, particularly for dealing with dragon enemies, but the Sapphire Lance might be better if you want a more general anti-red unit. Slaying Lance also works if you are worried about her damage output, and want more frequent specials to make up for it.

I don't like using Fury with Quick Riposte, hence I'd use Def+3 or Triangle Adept instead (but don't use TA with the Sapphire Lance). It can work with (and might be preferable with) Swordbreaker, however, given the lower HP requirement of the latter. For her special, go with Moonbow or Luna with the Sapphire/Slaying Lance, or Iceberg with Berkut's Lance. Close Def fits with the focus on melee units here.

She should still be able to tank red mages with this kind of setup if you need/want her to, she just can't counter them. She'll have less luck against archers and daggers, however.

I should point out that I haven't actually used her myself, so I can't say how effective any of this would be in actual gameplay. :p I think these make the most of what she does have over someone like Oscar, though, so hopefully you'll find something useful here.

If it had to be FE7, I think Pent, Louise and Nils, and later Athos as legendary hero. It's just a random guess, but I'd love either of those scenarios to happen hahaha.

Daruk and Yunobo meeting might be my favorite scene in the game so far.

That was cool for both characters.

Daruk gets confirmation that not only Gorons, but his line are still going strong.

Yunobo gets comfort and validation from seeing Daruk, his ancestor and hero. Not only that, Daruk gives him a sign of triumph with the fist in the air, inspiring Yunobo.

It's a pretty great scene and I wish the spirits interacted with the living more than they do.

I can see it being one of three: Shadows of Valentia, Shadow Dragon, and Blazing Blade. The latter two because of anniversaries (series anniversary and game anniversary, respectively) while SoV has tons of things hinting toward it.

Wishful Thinking Commences:

Shadow Dragon: Lena, Hardin, and either a Marth alt or Astram, with either Nyna or Julian as a TT reward
Blazing Blade: Canas, Louise, Sain
Shadows of Valentia: Valbar, Kliff, Silque, with Python or Conrad as a TT reward and Fernand as a GHB.

Alternatively Marth could be a legendary, or Alm could have a green bow.

I definitely think Valbar is getting in if it's SoV though, lots of hints lately.

Considering how there's gonna be three types of colored bows (red, blue and green), I doubt they'll just wait until a single legendary hero gets only one typing.

The Binding Blade also seems like a possibility pretty soon, especially considering there hasn't been a banner focused on it specifically since the game launched (we got Klein on the siblings banner way back in February/March last year, and Roy and Lilina on the Valentines' banner, and that's it). Looking at last year's CYL poll (since it might be too soon for them to have anything based on the more recent one), the most likely possibilities from there seem to be Lot, Rutger, Dieck, and Lugh, with Idun or Brunnya being likely GHBs. If they are looking at the 2018 poll, then Lot drops off, and gets replaced with Gonzales, while Idun becomes more likely to be on the banner, instead of being a GHB.

I wouldn't mind a banner with these guys, personally. Gives me a chance to save some orbs for a while. :p

I'd personally prefer a SoV banner, though, in terms of characters I want to see added to the game - no shortage of characters I want from there, like Silque, Valbar, Conrad, or Python. It's also close to the first anniversary of its release in Japan (20th April, same as the series' anniversary), so it's not impossible.

I also wouldn't say no to a second set of Fates kids, as long as they add Forrest, but I feel like I might be waiting a while for that. :p
