I would if an interview with her was made, just to see how she felt voicing a character like Nia with an accent that few peoples were familiar with before this game.
I suppose I could have considered myself a "regular" of the Disco Room back when I had premium, but yeah, activity died down massively right before I lost my premium. I figured that there probably wasn't much left of it.

When Hong left, things kinda fell apart. Ultimately, despite the bonuses that the Disco has above all threads, the Nintenzone became the superior thread to go to.

I think that further strengthens my point actually. That place was held together by one person because it's so secluded and it's secluded because it's on a pay wall.
Like why would anyone want to pay just to enter one section of the forum? That IMO is what killed the Disco Room long term. They should open up the Disco Room so that everyone can participate in it and it obviously isn't a draw to spend money anymore.

No, I think the Disco Room has a purpose in that a place where people can post with lax rulings and have a good time. This place, although fun to discuss things, offers a somewhat different experience in that you have to make sure you are posting something worthy if not it'll be considered spam.
I've been watching a couple of Dragon Ball FighterZ videos, specifically on Bardock and Broly, and I think its pretty ironic that Broly has the lowest average damage output in the game.

That would backfire because:
-The main point of Disco is the relaxed rules; the activity would concentrate too much there leaving many places of the forum abandoned. One of the main reasons Disco became super active back in the day is because most users of the Smash Social got fed up by the increasingly stricter rules (see the Hylian lockdown controversy) and Freemium was gifted like candy, said users emigrated there to ****post peacefully. Some of them simply left the site when their Premiums expired, and others went here.
--If the rules become strict enough here due speculation, then probably Disco will revive again--
-The place allows completely pointless threads, if gets opened to everyone, it will get cluttered and mods will be required; minor numbers mean better control of the place
People didn't go to the Disco Room to discuss games is one big difference. I operate a Nintendo discord that has 394 people but it wouldn't have gotten that large if it was just a place to discuss anything.
There's a Naruto forum website that has a similar thing to the Disco Room and people are active elsewhere cause people like talking about subjects.
A lot of us left the Smash 4 Social and the Disco Room on our journey here.
It's not the house that matters, it's the people that live there that make it a home.
And saying a thread would be "overly popular" sounds kind of clique-y. If anyone was legit unable to be nice around the crew, they'd get in trouble even in the Disco.
At least the Out Of Context thread in the DR is still kinda active :V
Apparently QT, 3.14, Tora, Brighid, Dromach and Catalyst are next
I want KOS-MOS

Wow, you actually linked to the Wiki. Heh, first time I've ever seen somebody do that seriously.
Speaking of things that have become inactive, that PM thread that somebody made that contained everybody is still open, and there are I think 4 or 5 people that still have yet to leave it.

Actually, once again the concept of a "Disco Room" or a chatterbox or whatever you want to call it is on many forums and isn't new to this site. A place with lax rules, but never have I seen it behind a pay wall.
And throughout my time on this site, after Hong left the section remained dead and I would sometimes come back after a few months and try to get it going with threads and posts but no matter what it would remain dead. I don't think the Disco Room is a draw and it never truly was one that's why the room always had periods of "droughts" with every now and then having little surges of popularity. That, however, has fallen off.
Discord is becoming more and more popular with places more lax. I see no issue with opening up the Disco Room. It's no longer a draw for money, and it's kind of ridiculous a section of the forum is behind a pay wall.

I was trying to say something similar to what Mythra's first point was.
I didn't mean "overly popular" in the sense that it's the people themselves that would make it bad, but rather in the sense that it would attract so much traffic that it would pull away from other threads on the site.
The Disco was never above the NintenZone in terms of users daily.
What made it so nice was that it was one of the few "communities within a community". In this case- a bunch of users who weren't interested and/or don't play Smash anymore. It was the perfect escape from the Speculation Season.
Now, we just sort of deal with it. Fortunately this season seems very tame.

sure i was kinda interested in smash speculation, and it was rosalinas reveal that encouraged me to join this site but it quickly died and i'm just not a speculator, however i do like the community a whole lot, used to have our own little fun group in fourm games that i hanged out with, it motly moved to discord though
and now i'm pretty much here in this place for the same reason, i am somewhat interested in seeing how smash speculation go, but for the most part i'm here to chat have fun, a good time, and just goof around

Honestly, I think the tame atmosphere of this season of speculation is mostly for a few reasons.
1. We don't really have any information to speculate off of, making it difficult to have discussions about anything other than baseless speculation. The only character announced for the game is the one everyone expected anyway, so there haven't been any "controversial" characters either.
2. The wait isn't nearly as long as it was before. The time between Brawl's release and the beginning of Smash 4 speculation was about 5 years. The gap between BayoCorrin's release and the March Smash announcement was only 2 years.
3. Many people have either learned from their mistakes from the previous speculation period, or have just given up on trying.
4. Leaks are less believable/harder to fake. Ever since the Gematsu and Rayman "leaks" people have gotten about 10x more wary of leaks.
Seeing everyone talk about Yunobo reminds me that I still haven't gotten to his or most of the other main quests. I've been having so much fun getting lost in BotW that I keep forgetting there's actually story quests to do unless I stumble on it. The only one I finished so far was the Rito one, and that one I just finished a few minutes ago.
Speaking of which, as unpopular of an opinion it is, I like Revali. He is underdeveloped, but for what time he has I thought he was fine.
It sounds like you want to relive the glory days or rebuild a clique more than anything else. I fail to see the point of making the disco room free to everyone, cause that's just another social.
If you want to ****post...
This place ain't a stranger to it.
If you want more serious IRL stuff or even politics...
This place ain't a stranger to them.
It's a social, we can talk about whatever as long as it doesn't break site rules like posting porn, threats, etc.
And I'll admit, I have a slight bias against the Disco Room because for a while there was a bad habit of people in the disco room ****ting on users who weren't in there.

Glory days? What glory days? And a clique? I'm never ever in a clique. These are some really weird assumptions on your part.
It's not rocket science, that place had laxer posting rules and is dead atm and is locked behind a pay wall. Removing the pay wall and making it alive again for something that is free on other forums makes perfect sense.

At this point in time, what is the point of the disco room... in general?
We're already pretty darn lax in our socials and you can do pretty much everything you could do in the Disco Room here, aside from spam (which you shouldn't be doing in the Disco Room either). So I have to ask, how lax do you want? We're almost discord level at times.
I agree that the disco room sucks as a payment incentive and the reason is, it doesn't do anything that the free sections on the site don't.
It's redundant and just another social. So why do we need another social?
Mythra
's 18+ chat was the only suggestion I've heard that makes sense.
