Honestly just because I believe it's not going to look as good as people hope. It hasn't been that long in development.

I don't think it's going to look Switch Quality, just higher quality than 3DS

I'm probably a little more doom and gloom on it than is average, especially for me.

Never let it be said that I back down from a comedy challooop that's the last of the caffeine.

I mean...maybe I'm just trying to play the optimist, but I distinctly remember when the game was revealed, Reggie was trying to play up the 3ds as much as he could, most likely knowing that its a console people are going to be A LOT less interested in given the shiny new Switch that's been dominating the market, then he confirmed later that Nintendo anticipated backlash for the game being on the 3ds instead of the switch...a lot of these factors, including a tiny bit of common sense, tells me that Nintendo was more than likely prepared for the game to not perform up to exceptional levels...

I mean the game wasn't even revealed during the actual Nintendo showcase at e3 and a lot of people found out about the game just randomly a few hours afterwards...and it was released just 3 months afterwards, which isn't a whole lot of time to get people hyped about a game on a console that a lot of people stopped caring about...

All things considered I like to think that Nintendo just wanted to see how well people recieved the game as opposed to how many, and seeing as it not only performed pretty damn well according to critics but also nabbed Best Handheld awards from all over...

Just imagine how this game would've done had it been released on the Switch...I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo and Mercury Steam immediately jumped onto development of an actual new 2D Metroid game...
