Sakurai literally decided on everyone on the Smash 4 roster EXCEPT a Pokemon character, deliberately left the Pokemon slot open for gosh knows how long until Pokemon Company sent him concept art, THEN added Greninja.

He left it pretty clear that Greninja was originally just a slot for a new Pokemon which he decided on later after seeing the XY designs.

Jesus, forgotten how toxic pre-Smash 4 speculation was.

I remembered the time that once news hit that Daisy wouldn't be in Super Mario Maker's base game, everyone was upset or down. To make matter's worse, some guy screencapped a user's (Zeldaisy) post and put it on /v/ as an example of why Daisy fans are ... well you know that favorite "a word" they love to use.
