Hard to believe this is the same game
There was a problem fetching the tweet
I still haven't gotten Malleo Kart 8 DX but I'm looking forward to getting this instead.
I decided to watch the Emoji movie on Netflix randomly...what am I doing with my life?
That's an excellent question indeed.

I just remembered that Snake Eater 3D exists and it still sounds like such an unnecessary port. I wonder if it's even good.
The addition of crouch walking alone makes it the best version of the game in terms of gameplay, for me. There's also the Photo-Camo which lets you get 100% camo in a lot of places, which is pretty silly. It has some framerate issues in a few places, but other than those it's pretty decent.

Makes me wonder why we didn't get other ports to the 3DS if it can handle a PS2 game. Is it because it's just a 3D pun in the name?

I finished the Emoji movie...but to save time and headache I put it on double speed. Thank goodness for the video speed up extension on Chrome. Anywho...

Overall it was....not as bad as I expected but I still think it's definitely below average. I expected it to be the worst movie I've ever seen, but I don't think it is that. Either way, it's still mostly weak. For every surprisingly decent joke, there's another 5 cringy or bland jokes following. I couldn't really enjoy any of the characters in the film, either. The concept has some intrigue to it, admittedly, but it's botched in the end because of the overly straightforward storytelling, mediocre characters, and mostly poor jokes.

It feels like a poor man's Wreck-It-Ralph 2, in that it has many pop culture references, but the execution in delivering such is much weaker.

My score for the film is a 3/10. Is occasionally watchable or even slightly enjoyable, but is all-around weak...which was to be expected.

Edit: Oh, and the worst line of the film is where it's mentioned that "emojis are the most important communication invention to exist" made me die inside. The script was pretty weak all-around, but every line is Oscar-nomination worthy compared to that single line. It makes me sad. The best way of communication is not emojis...it's good old-fashioned face to face conversation. /End Rant

I just killed Death in Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow. I'm not sure if I'm under-leveled or using the wrong souls; I'm at level 22, and I had to use a BUNCH of potions to survive the second phase of that fight.

At any rate, that's done with, and now I have the ability to go underwater, which should open up a lot more of the castle for me.

I just watched it on netflix.
It could be a location thing. It sounds like it's available in Great Britain (where you live, iirc), but I didn't find it myself and I live in the States. Certain media are available in certain places while unavailable in others.

It took me a while to see The Emoji Movie too. I didn't mind the jokes as much, but it was pretty average. I've seen just plain way worse in comparison, and it was a fun ride. I haven't seen Wreck-It Ralph 2, so it can't be compared easily for me. For Wreck-It Ralph, they have a similar premise, but are done way differently. My only issue was a certain character not being rescued, for no reason whatsoever. So I think the writing needed more work overall. The villain was a pretty big jerk and I'm glad she got what was coming to her in the end.

Okay, so, I got a Majora's Mask related question for any Zelda fans here:

Why is there hate for MM3D? As someone who played the original on Wii VC, I actually liked the 3DS version more. There was a lot of nice QoL improvements that made the game even more enjoyable than it already was.

Main points are butchering the difficulty, making movement more tedious for certain characters, and cutting unique aspects of the game.

I personally am not entirely sure, but my theory is that some people like the original more because the shading is darker all-around and thus gives a more "creepy" atmosphere. I still think the 3ds version is very effective and I don't get it. And the other unrelated nitpicks about the game I've heard I think aren't worth my time because the game is still very effective, especially if you've never played the original...like myself. Only played the 3ds version and I adore it to death.

Speaking of which, I gotta play Majora's Mask again lol. Been too long, since Smash has eaten up my time lately. I gotta rescue Epona next.

I've heard some of the points this video has made before, and TBH I honestly don't get it. I've played both versions and personally feel the difficulty was about the same, and a lot of old clunkyness was removed in 3D.

Deku Link and Goron Link felt fine to me, and the changes made to Clock Town, saving, and the SoT were all very welcome QoL changes IMO. Zora Link definitely felt weird, though. Didn't like that you needed magic to do anything.

Also really dig the graphics. Game looks way prettier and not like a poorly backlit screen anymore. Frame rate is way better too.

It's actually very well done. A lot of new quality of life features were added to make the game an easier fit for newcomers. Crouch walking, over the shoulder view for aiming and shooting, impact markers when you hit, etc.

The game has framerate issues about as bad as the PS2 version did which isn't great and squeezing a game that's meant to be played on a big screen onto a 3DS makes some stuff a little hard to see. Otherwise, the game is my preferred way to play for Crouch walking and the shooting alone. The rest of the game is still Snake Eater through and through. And it's amazing.

Who knows? :3
Welp, I usually don't care about sports, but my state's team ended up getting knocked out from the playoffs today in football. Oh well, I suppose, but you can't win them all. It might take me a bit of time to process, but I'll move on like nothing happened as is the best way to handle something like this.

Which team of yours got knocked out? Which one are you referring to?
