I really would like another Sonic character for DLC. But then again, Sega would then be getting two characters in the DLC pass, and I dunno if a single company getting more than one rep is likely

Ironically mine are higher than they were before the weird direction it's settled on was established.

Not because I think I'll necessarily get anyone I want, but because I'm just

Really jaded with the character preferences of the fandom as a whole.

And I mean, part of me wants to chalk it up to my not having played most of the games involved? But like, that can't be all of it. I've played SOME of the games people ask for characters from. And I just. . .still can't bring myself to care. I look upon a sea of characters, and it all smells like unflavored wheat thins. We're in a world where Nintendo picking characters from various third party companies in the name of flashy surprises is more unpredictable by this fandom's standards than the entirety of a pool of literally hundreds of character requests, and I just. . .I don't know. Bring it, I guess.

In their defense.

That's how I felt about Incineroar prior to handling him. Boring cat dude. And Isabelle. Boring Villager clone. And Chrom. Boring swordie (albeit Mercer).

Yet here we are, in a world where Isabelle is more fun to me than Villager, Incineroar is one of the most fun characters to watch, and Chrom is tearing people apart left and right because Aether is goddamn shattered.

And that's all without talking bout Petey.

Whoever they run with, I feel like it'll work out.

That mode will end you if you play it in anything other than easy.

Sucks for me as well because I know my #1 most wanted character stands no chance of inclusion short of his series being revived. And said developer in question hasn't bothered for so long.

So it's like he's stuck in this rut which is almost impossible to get out of.

Atlus is just a Persona machine at this point. EO and SMT are clearly not the priority and random JRPGs like Radiant Historia aren't going to exist period.

My opinion on the DLC is "I just wanna see what they do". I'm indifferent to most characters that they could pick as there's already over 70 ****ing characters

Assuming a couple of my most wanted characters make sense from a marketing standpoint on Nintendo's end (Most notably, Steve), I'm cautiously optimistic with the DLC... That being said, I'm trying to keep my expectations at a moderate level

Well hey, just remember that you may find a newcomer from that DLC pass to be enjoyable to play, even if they aren't a character from your own personal wishlist.

Well I only bought the DLC characters that I wanted in Smash 4. Which were Mewtwo, Lucas, Roy, Ryu, and Cloud. I used them a lot in game.

If I ever bought a character I didn't really want or a base game character that I didn't like/a moveset that I didn't like, they would most likely be Classic Mode fodder at best before I sorta ignore them. So if I choose to get a Fighters Pass which i'm not really thrilled about, that's prob what I would do.
