The worst thing about this game was the whole "literally no comprehensible sound" thing, and then they had this countdown timer at the end that teased a patch a week after the release of the game that would add all of the missing sound in.
They were so pretentious about this that they thought people would actually come back to to the game a week after slogging through it.
It's telling that the part that bothers me in the second gif isn't even the obvious thing with the guy having a poker face as someone jumps over his head.
It's that the player character starts with a straight vault in just before the poker face close-up, continues it through the close-up, but then after the close-up, he's suddenly finishing off a 360 twirl in mid-air right before he lands.
Then there’s the NXT Brands and 205 which are always good. Them and SmackDown don’t get as much attention as Raw unless it’s a very special occasion, and that’s very stupid (last night alone proved they need to stop with current Raw)

205 and NXT are the only reason I'm still subbed to the Network. I'm sad 205 is just kinda there, cause they deliver PPV quality main events every week, same goes for NXT but NXT has a big viewerbase unlike 205.

Besides the wrestling shows, I watch for the original content (24 and E&C for examples are amazing to watch), though I’m glad something like UpUpDownDown isn’t a Network show (cause like Long Island Z it would die)
It is such an extreme honor to sing the English vocals of “Lifelight,” the theme for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate! I love this song so much, and hope you do too. It is my ULTIMATE dream come true to sing a song for #Nintendo ❤️ Thanks to @greg_chun for expert musical direction! https://t.co/ajtYwFh9DS
So apparently Vergeben gave out a list of SE characters he's heard floating around for DLC?
- Sephiroth
- Crono
- The Luminary (DQXI protag)
- Erdrick (is the DQIII protag, but a central character in the original trilogy)
- Slime (DQ mascot)
- Geno
- Sora (only heard it as a name that is most definitely NOT happening, apparently)
Gut feeling says it's Crono, but my gut feeling also thought Shadow was playable so.

Sora is absolutely not happening. That's odd when Spawn wave whose also got a track record seems to have enough proof to say he is happening.
-Sephiroth: Imagine getting another ff character when we have jack **** in terms of its content lmao. Kind of doubt but he would be sick.
Chrono, maybe? He's sort of like Geno but with less of a push
-Multiple DQ Reps. This screams bait to me or it could me that DQ is getting a rep for sure, but they want to keep it on the downlow as to who it is. Could go either way, but seems to be the highest chance on here.
-Geno: His mii costume is gone yet they gave away the rights to use him and mallow. Maybe they removed his to make way for him as DLC?
Actually, question, is the K rool and Inkling costume still in? Might mean nothing but if they are, then genos costume missing is really odd.
Hoping for Geno, but DQ also makes a lot of sense even if I'm not big on that series.
I also wonder though, is sora leak bait? Like is he in, and all these other names and "confirmation" that he's not in, big baits and he is in? Would love if this was the case, but I don't know if square would go that far.
Lastly Verge seems to think Minecraft has a boss, but that's not the case. And I highly doubt WOL is getting an update with DLC. It wouldn't be worth the resources and money to Nintendo.
So if his most trustworthy source is wrong on that, his square source could have false info too weather that source knows it or not.

It's not that he doesn't believe Sora's happening, it's that his source said he's absolutely not happening.
My scrambled thoughts on the rest:
- Sephiroth isn't happening, I feel. He's an extremely iconic and popular villain, and definitely should be the second FF7 character if it ever got one, but I think he's similar to Dracula in the sense that his best representation would be through a boss fight. On top of that, one of the more (in)famous aspects of Sephiroth is how comically long Masamune is, which might be a pain to balance. Plus I can't see FF7 getting a 2nd stage with more music (which would likely just be OWA.)
- Crono is the protagonist of a game that even to this day is widely considered to be, not only one of the best RPGs of all time, but one of the best games of all time and while SE has only done the bare minimum to keep the brand relevant, it's something. I think it makes a decent amount of sense that Nintendo would choose him given Chrono Trigger's legacy and all. But at the same time, I'm not even 100% on the guy.
- At face value, I would've said any DQ character is really likely, but now I'm not even sure. It seems like they'd have to go through even more loops than your usual SE character and I don't know if they'd find the trouble worth it. But maybe they will given DQ's historical status and Nintendo being the ones behind the DLC.
- One thing Geno had going for him was Sakurai liking the character, but with Nintendo choosing characters that point may have been rendered moot. Same goes for his popularity in general, Ninty might know about it but possibly not care. Aside from that, I can't even say where he stands. He's an enigma the way I see. Has a Spirit and while they mean jack **** for a character making it in, it's entirely possible that he was thrown in as a consolation of sorts, but it's more likely that's not the case. While at the same time it's kinda telling him and Mallow are the only other SE Spirits in the game at all. As for the Mii Costume, I don't think it's a point for or against him as ALL the 3rd party costumes from 4 were removed.
Geno due to absurd levels of Sakubias, which netted him a Mii costume previously, and a fair amount of clamor from the community.
Slime, of the DQ reps presented, is the one who would actually bring the most unique moveset to the table in my opinion, and it can represent the franchise all through its history with Ninty.
As for the others:
Chrono's moveset strikes me as mostly another swordie, with some lightning thrown in for good measure. He might get some spells, but I don't see much coming out of him.
The Luminary I don't see even with DQXI imminent for the Switch. Erdrick is a big haha no. Man's not even a good swordie candidate, and as important to the series as he was, he only crops up in person in III and shows off next to nothing moveset-wise.
The only positives I can see coming from Sephiroth are a fighter with a bigger disjoint box than Simon and Richter and a pile of faux-Latin meme chanting. He's got as much chance of being in Smash as I do. Me me, not the avi.
Him and Crono are the only ones from that list I see happening period.

Yeah I know it’s not him thinking but his source. Which is really interesting that is source would outright deconfirm him but leave the others unknown.
Sephiroth I agree is better as a boss and the little ff content makes him unlikely.
Dq is really a mess license wise. And since they want to make sure the fighter pass characters have a lot of content with them I think Nintendo might avoid dq if they couldn’t get through those hoops.
Chrono seems to have his stuff owned mostly by square and is certainly iconic. As I said he’s similar to Geno.
I really think it would come down to him and Geno.
Geno is also owned by square fully and Nintendo took part in the other mario rpg content rights.
So he’s the easiest to provide content for if square was open for another re and were t being stingy or asking to much to use him.
This really comes down to weather or not the fighter pass is ballot influenced. I think to some degree it will be and that’s why I feel bandanna dee is likely.
And if it is ballot based, Geno would likely win this fight for dlc as he was one of the top requests.
I really hope we get that game awards reveal just to have an idea of what direction this is going in.

It's been confirmed that the ballot has had at least some influence on decision making.
The results of that influence, besides Bayonetta, have yet to be publicly noted. Although it's probably fair to say the ballot probably got at least , , and in.
To do the things you want to do, once you find them
I've looked around enough to know
That you're the one I want to go through time with
If I had a box just for wishes
And dreams that had never come true
The box would be empty, except for the memory of how
They were answered by you
But there never seems to be enough time
To do the things you want to do, once you find them
I've looked around enough to know
That you're the one I want to go through time with

On a more personal note, I've just gotten up (it's 7AM where I am), I stayed up "late" yesterday hoping for the Switch I ordered to come and it ended up not coming, so it'll probably come today. Bright side: It gave me a reason to stay up so I can get my Circadian Rhythm back in order.
It did mean I slept for about... *calculates* 14 hours, but whatever.

My bet is on a DQ character, you don't give out at least 2 fake names from that series if you're not trying to catch leakers trying to leak a DQ in particular. Maybe the fact it's a DQ character is something that could spread more easily but knowing exactly who it is becomes harder.
Sephiroth is kind of a weird pick because I don't expect any current 3rd party franchises to get a DLC newcomer except maybe Sonic.
Sora is not it and Geno was told to not be taken seriously so eh
Crono is way too good to be true, he ain't happening.
Anyways, I'm glad the TV Tropes experience can now be summed up in one image
Do you really think censoring those images took so much time that it potentially cost a character? Or that the graphic designers making these edits are the same people responsible for modeling/programming/animating/balancing characters?
Those censorships likely had no noticeable effect on game development at all.
But if I am being fair here... Of course not. And bruh I already said you can take it as a joke, so not sure why you went a bit serious on this one lol. That being said, regardless you agree or disagree even for E10+ game like Smash I personally don't think those are necessary. Which also goes back to my old rant about Smash being E10+... But hey it is what is.
This likes also has some issues too lol. (not really)
