I added one party member and changed it so everyone only has 1 weapon type, now Obobo, Ura and I all have an exclusive weapon type!

Whips, Hammers and Axes respectively.

So as you could probablt tell from my last post, I did play the Smash Ulimate demo a few hours ago. I was anxious and I only got around three hours of sleep last night, and while I'm used to the procontroller I wasn't used to the default button layout. Most importantly though I didn't have time to get the hang of the new game engine and struggled to get a real feel for the characters, but I'll try to give my impressions anyway.

First thing to note, I played with a group a three strangers who seemed to be friends. They were having a conversation about K.Rool's armor break mechanic, so they seemed fairly knowledgeable. I was too shy to hop in on their conversation though. I got to play two matches with them.

In the first match, I chose while my opponents went with  and on Gerudo Valley. Despite all the theory crafting and matches I've watched, I just didn't have a good feel for Squirtle from the get go. The range on Ganondorf's new smash attacks caught me off guard which, when combined with a new air dodge system I'm not used to, let Ganon get a couple stupid early kills on me. Ivysaur however felt much more natural for me to play and I managed to get a KO with her f-smash, which felt just as satisfying as I had hoped it would. I didn't play much Charizard however, as I was prioritizing the other two. Ganondorf ended up winning that match by a landslide - his sword attacks might be of limited use in competitive play, but they seem busted in free for alls.

In the next match, I went with Robo while my opponents went with  and on Jungle Japes. My sister, who was spectating, teased me about not playing along with the theme and going with Marth or Lucina, but I wanted to try out my space dragon mech alien danggit! Anyway, as I suspected Purple Charizard was a natural fit for me and I did much better that match, getting second place and losing only by a single point (to Ike, who was the same guy who was Ganon last match). Riddle's Fair felt better then I expected and his Plasma Breath was a fun way to rack up cheap damage in free for alls. I'll definitely be playing Riddles a lot, at least in casual play.

Overall I'm still hyped over this game, but it'll take some more playing for me to truly appreciate the new changes and mechanics. Two matches was not enough time for me to get the hang of dash canceled tilts, directional air dodges or even the new universal 3-frame jump squat on my boi Zard. You can bet that when Ultimate drops I'll be grinding away at it until controlling my characters in it feels as natural for me as it does in Smash 4.

Controversy over censorship is understandable in some cases, but in others, its just kind of dumb.

"How dare they censor this image for the sake of age rating so they can market towards their intended demographic. This must be the work of the SJWs, who are out to ruin our waifus and video games as a whole".

I don't get nosebleeds but whenever I get random cuts I tend to bleed like I just got shot, it's annoying.

Especially since sometimes it's a cut so small I don't notice I'm bleeding until a bit later.

Hrid looks terrifying. Debuff-breaker in a kit that packs Atk Smoke and a Chill. Would be a great asset to my horse emblem team, if I can stomach swapping out Sigurd. Otherwise, thank god pony BST keeps him outta my tier.

HOLY ARCEUS, BEST BOY HRID IS FINALLY PLAYABLE IN FIRE EMBLEM HEROES!

Hell yeah! I've been waiting forever for this moment! So many Legendary Hero banners went by with me thinking Hrid would be finally appear in it, only to turn out he got shafted. I practically lost my remaining hope in Hrid's chances when Legendary Eirika showed up last month instead of him, but now, he can come to my army at last!

I currently have 65 orbs (burned about 100 of them when trying to pull for Surtr a few days ago), though I'll have to work on accumulating some more over the next few days if I want to up my chances more.

It's great to see we finally have a non-Hector with Distant Counter by default. If I don't pull the right-nature Hrid, he'll make good backup DC fodder. Still, I'm hoping I'll pull a Hrid with a good nature because he has a beastly default skill set so far! He'll make a great addition on my Horse Emblem team for sure!

Red is definitely the color I'm pinning for this coming banner. If I can't pull Hrid, I have the chance of pulling either Legendary Ryoma, who I can use merge fodder for the one I have, and Laevatain, who's C-skill will come in handy. Blue is second in line of priority, and that's because it'd be nice to pull a better nature Brave Hector (though if I do pull another bad nature'd Brave Hector, that just means more Bold Fighter fodder).

Can't wait for Wednesday!

No one has made Miis for Deku (Izuku Midoriya) or All Might yet and this is a travesty. I'd make them myself but I'm currently at college and won't be home for another week and a half, so if anybody wants to make them and then share how to make them it would be greatly appreciated, because I want to play as them (or as close as I can get to them) in Smash Ultimate.

You don't get access to the full combat system for a couple of hours, and it really doesn't hit its swing until you get three blades for each party member, so it might feel slow. Take advantage of Break->Topple->Smash and Elemental Combos within combat to take down enemies.

Have fun and enjoy it. I didn't, but I hope you do.

Beware of large gorillas.

Oh yeah this too. They'll **** your **** up hard if you anger them. Just keep away, because they aggro at the very sight of you.
