Spoiler: Just clearing my head a bit, tucked in hindsight

Been with gf overnight for the last few nights since I found out I could use my phone's hotspot for my work connection (probably to AT&T's chagrin, but that's what the unlimited plan is for, and if they're throttling it doesn't seem to be hurting anything). Been taking care of her for the simple stuff to reduce workload on the already pretty strained nurses - cold compresses, bringing drinks, rubbing feet, comforting after nightmares, the basics.

Today while swapping out one of her cold compresses I noticed she was burning up. Morning vitals confirmed she had a fever of 100.8.

After checking her, checked me. Noticed my forehead's a little warm as well, headache is slowly encroaching, and nose is acting like it's almost about to run. Haven't been able to take my own temp yet, gonna be a few hours yet till I can. And none of it feels terribly off - I'm barely below normal here, never would've noticed me without noticing her.

I'm really worried I just gave my horrifically-immunocompromised girlfriend something I've been unknowingly shrugging off.

I'm supposed to be caring for her. This ain't how it's supposed to go down.

Shish it gets better, one of the spells Sypha uses in the second to last episode is Ice Needle from Portrait of Ruin. AKA the most broken ****ing spell in that game

I know the stereotype is basically that /r/fireemblem is a bunch of prudes while /r/xenoblade_chronicles tends to be more, let's say, "frisky," but the general difference in reactions between the two subs with the whole Camilla/Mythra censorship thing is honestly hilarious.

A good portion of the Xenoblade sub is in full-on rage mode while most of the Fire Emblem sub is either appreciative of the change or ****posting Gamers Rise Up memes.

But the interview they did with Sakurai pretty clearly laid this one out:

While every character in Super Smash Bros. history is in this game, several new characters have also been added. What is the process of deciding new characters to add to the roster?

It is a project after all, so we take into consideration things like labor, man-hours, the time in which the title will be sold. We decide on the fighters from the very early planning stage, and from there, we calculate and begin production. We don’t add or remove any characters during the project.

We do things like base our consideration on the results of the Smash ballot, and also balance things out so that there’s a difference in the types of fighters.

By the way, as for Incineroar, during our planning stage we knew that a new Pokémon game was coming, so we intentionally kept one spot open for that, and we decided which character to create once we received more info on the title.

If we take this at its face, any removed fighters would've been cut so early in development it's hard to consider them potential fighters in the first place.

I recall there was a slot after Incineroar but I believe that could have been easily the placeholder for a "new Pokemon" that the dev team left open.
