Stopping by here to say Detective Pikachu movie looks like it has potential to be pretty good. I'm looking forward to it.

Stan Lee dying is depressing though. Even though I didn't care much about the superhero genre, I could tell he was a pretty cool guy.

Detective pikahu actually looks really good though. I like most of the Pokémon models and Ryan Reynolds is doing great as Pikachu. It should be pretty fun.

Im sure Wade will say something to reference Pikachu in Deadpool 3 now lol.

Yeah, a couple of days ago the Nintendo VS Capcom thing popped up in the thread and I decided to post what would be my roster. I went big time with 25 characters each but I know that's being too ambitious. Either way, here's the original post with the roster:

Guess my comment on Nintendo VS Capcom was taken seriously by the thread, that's the stuff I want to talk about. Personally I would want it to be like a normal fighting game, with command imputs, and preferably a tag based game (2V2 or 3V3, I don't really care). The thing is making stuff with the tagging mechanics to make it different from the other versus titles.

I simply want my Nintendo characters in a fighting game, I find hard to believe almost none of them have been featured in a 2D regular fighting game, probably because Nintendo thinks Smash is enough for fighting games. And that's even more reason to have a Nintendo VS Capcom because it's obvious Nintendo wouldn't do it.

I also decided to make a roster for an hypothetical Nintendo VS Capcom, having 25 characters in each slot for a total of 50. I think the number is too big, but hey, who said croosovers couldn't be ambitious? But what Opo said about the choices is absolutely true, having characters not in Smash for the Nintendo part is reduced to the slots he mentioned... Still, it's fun trying to reduce a roster of 60 characters to 25. This is what I came up with

All I care about is that Pit is in and uses a different spread of weapons than in Smash.

Mostly a set of Claws and the First Blade with some other stuff mixed in.

Still, 95's one hell of a lifetime. As for myself, I'd like to reach the start of the 22nd century before I go out. I don't even have to be 100—I'm willing to die by January 1st, 2100 at 12:01 AM. Though, I wouldn't be opposed to the idea of transferring my consciousness to that of a machine's.

In any case, it's yet another reminder that time is fleeting, and that death comes for us all eventually. Spend your life the way you want to live it. Make the most of it.

To end things on a more lighthearted note... Smash Ultimate's release is very nearby. I'm still surprised we got both the announcement for the game and the release of it both in the same year. Sakurai and the rest of the Smash team really outdid themselves with the game.

Seems like they might have finally made a good live action anime movie.

We live in a world where the first live-action adaptation of Pokemon might be good and it's also a movie where Ryan Reynolds voices Pikachu.
I'm so into this.

Yeah, this video perfectly nails down the reason why I wasn't very interested in Spongebob after 2007 besided the fact that I returned to Taiwan, and even though Spongebob was also popular in Taiwan. The show was also notorious for getting many overboard cuts and censorship...

Like... forgot the name of the episode but it was about Mr.Krabs want to feel young again so he asks Spongebob and Patrick to show what young people do.
You know that the end of episode they accidentally invade Mr.Krab's Mom's house, well... this part was entirely cut in Taiwan.

It shouldn't be that surprised since Spongebob was being broadcast on a kid's channel, ad with how overly protective Taiwanese parent's are...

Further note, One Piece used to get censorship... on smoking (Sanji, Smoke... whover smokes gets censored, literally... not exchanged with lolipop but with an annoying blur)... yeah Taiwan, like Japan has many people smoking yet we have anime that used to get smoking censored... when it comes to guro scene like ones in AoT and in Re:Zero... well... not much fortunately.

To be fair, many good animes don't really broadcast in Taiwan local anime channels... not even in Chinese dub, or they just come really late down the line.

I think the best looking was obviously the Charmander at the beginning, and those Emolgas too even though I didn't see them perfectly. It really nice they didn't add too many details on the "cute" Pokemons, Jigglypuff was a bit "too much" though. I don't recall Jigglypuff having furs...

The concept of Mr. Mime has always just felt creepy to me. It's not a knock against the movie at all. On the contrary, I think it's an example of Mr. Mime being done justice.

Lucario has to be in. In the one trailer it showed nearly every pokemon that is playable in Smash.

Not gonna lie, but when I saw Pikachu on the thumbnail of that Detective Pikachu trailer, I thought it was a plushie for a second. Turned out to be better animated than I thought.

Seems like this movie has some potential to be good! I'm interested in seeing more trailers for it.
