For a game that I think absolutely needs it, it's Shin Megami Tensei 1 and 2. 2 pretty great stories locked behind really archaic mechanics.

For a game I just want because I like the game already, it'd be Shin Megami Tensei 3: Nocturne Featuring Dante from the Devil May Cry^TM Series

My car insurance suuuuuuuucks.

Car got nothing (thank god!), I'm just ranting on how a "special program" is seemingly designed just to **** me over.

What is it? It's pretty simple. A phone app registers my travels and if I drive good, I save money. That's good and I like the idea.

The problem is that driving late at night can screw this over and thanks to my work shifts, this happens at least once a week. So I'm already doomed to not get any savings from this alone.

On top of that, it requires mobile data to work, a resource that isn't really plentiful with my current plan. So no only do I not save on insurance, I'll end up spending more on my phone bills on top of that.

It's honestly not worth it, but at the same time, the insurance company would be asking questions if I never use it since I already agreed to join that bull****...

Looks like I'm back. Wonder if anyone other than the people who follow me on Twitter remembers me.
I actually don't think I'll be very active in this website anymore... When I am, this, the roster thread, and the roster maker thread are going to be the only threads I'll be active in. Aside from running the pretty much dead Decidueye thread for the next 2 months, I'm not touching the main speculation boards anymore.
Speaking of Decidueye... In case people are wondering how I feel about his chances being dead in the water... honestly, as much as I do want Decidueye to be in Ultimate (and I don't find Incineroar to be a good choice at all personally), it's just a video game in the end of the day. I can't get so upset over such a trivial matter, and I feel that's something a lot of people in this community don't seem to realize. It's also why i'm staying away from the main speculation boards. Also, with how much effort that was put into this game, it would be rude of me to whine about one character exclusion.
Finally... I had the displeasure of seeing two Twitter mutuals that I consider very good friends act like children over events that happened in this very website. I can't vent anywhere except in DMs either due to my fear of ruining my friendships with them, because they're on basically every Discord server I'm in and I have things to say about certain people who frequently visit this thread.
Anyway, like I said I doubt I'll be very active in this website anymore, especially this year since I have 12th grade stuff to take care of... you can still find me on Discord and Twitter, where I'm going to be much more active.

I wasn't sure about the idea of HD Galaxy remakes at first, considering the graphics and aesthetics are already so beautiful.

I've got a few. Some good, some bad. More often than not, a remake to me, needs to add some kind of substantial content if it's a game I already played. If it's something I didn't play, obviously I wouldn't know for sure.

Mega Man X7: Make it actually good, and let you play as the main ***** Mega Man X from the get. More often than not, it's bad games that should get remakes, though some good ones deserve it. MMX6 as well, since the weapons, armors and OSTs are all good in that game but the levels need re-working.

Sonic Adventure: Fix the camera and other jank elements.

Mario Sunshine: That game gets slept on for how good it is, and I'd like to see a remake that adds content like Mario 64 DS or Mega Man Powered Up.

Metroid Prime Hunters: Vary up the bosses more, and just bring back the online multiplayer. Also make it look nicer than a late N64 game. Find a way to control it without touch controls, so it can be played on a TV.

Maximum Carnage: It was as accurate to the comics as a Beat 'Em Up could get. But have Co-Op in it, letting player 2 take different partners depending on the level. Also, Mark Bagley inspired art-style, like Ultimate Spider-Man, but with the characters' normal proportions.

DMC 2: Make it play more like the later entries. Give Dante's 3 Swords different movesets. Throw in an Ifrit/Beowulf stand in.

Dragon Ball Z Sagas: A DBZ Beat' Em Up should be sick as hell, Sagas was just...wrong.

Dragon Ball Z Sagas: A DBZ Beat' Em Up should be sick as hell, Sagas was just...wrong.

If you want a good DB beat em up, Dragon Ball Advanced Adventure is pretty sick.

Though it's just early DB, and I think you only play as Kid Goku and Krillin up until the Red Ribbon Army arc. I really wish it had gotten a follow up.

I wish they put more effort into having it feel like your party is working together. With how little they interact it just makes the game feel barren.

If you think manga is quote on quote "worse" is fine by me. I just want to say is when saying you were baffled by that scene in the anime... It still toned down a bit, not saying it an excuse or anything, I just want to say your complaint can only be sum up as your personal distaste, which is really not a problem at all since anyone has their own preferences when it comes to anime and any TV shows actually. Like I personally dislike horror films or any horror animes. It is just that don't say it is a problem just because has those scenes. (oh... Sorry for making it too long)

And that DOOM guy comparison I did was a compare to the main character... Not the entire show or saying the game is like that anime lol.

I'm about to get slightly pedantic and I don't mean this in a bad way (I just like talking about this stuff), but it's not an upscale.

In many emulators, they allow you to adjust the native resolution the game renders at, just like a PC game. Which is what I do with emulators and the main reason I like using them over original hardware these days, along with potential FPS improvements.

"Upscaling" your resolution is basically just running a game at, for example, 480p, and running it on a display that primarily displays 1080p. This is done so that you can have that video output cover the entirety of the 1080p screen. This is what happens when you use the Wii Mode on the Wii U, for example. The screen will be smoothed to minimise jaggies but overall it looks pretty blurry compared to say, running a Wii game at native 1080p in Dolphin.

"Native resolution" is the real-time resolution of your video output, and in video games, it can also be used tell the game to do other things such as using different textures depending on the current resolution (for example, some modern PC games have separate 4K textures that are automatically loaded instead of standard HD ones if you run the game at a 4K resolution) and shadow resolution and so on.

Some emulators do have texture scaling features such as filters to help make textures from SD games look less muddy when they are run at a higher native resolution.

I also have a sneaking suspicion that some of Nintendo's own games have some degree of built-in texture scaling or they use higher resolution textures than what they intend to output the game at. The best example on 3DS is Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia.

The dirt texture in particular and even Lukas' face here look surprisingly sharp for what should be a 240p quality texture. Also fun fact, I never noticed that Lukas smiles during his victory animation on 3DS. The low resolution obscured his face enough to where I thought he had a blank expression.

I don't want to get anyone's hopes up or anything, but if I'm right about this, then it means that Nintendo and their subsidiaries, like Intelligent Systems, are future proofing their later 3DS games - giving them HD textures that never are seen on the 3DS, but if they make a Switch port one day, simply running the games at higher resolutions tells the game to run the higher resolution textures.

Just a theory though. Kid Icarus Uprising isn't one of those games though, so it would need work done on the textures regardless.
