That's what I was thinking. Sakurai made a big deal of there being 100 stages so my bet is that these are all of them.
So I guess all the remaining newcomers are from existing series, that narrows down things a bit.

If Sakurai was being entirely honest that this is all the stages the game will have, then judging by the stage layout I fully expect DLC to at least be in the back of his mind right now. There's a very obvious gap for six, maybe 5 stages with a random icon. If they were gonna call it a day just with the current layout I'd imagine there's at least a -slightly- more efficient way to handle it, but instead they might be making room for all DLC stages to fit on the same page as defaults. Not that I expect them to necessarily concretely know WHAT DLC they're making as of yet, just that they most likely will.
