The problem with Paula as Ness is that besides the bat, which can be replaced, Ness has the Yo-yos. And so far, besides Final Smashes, we've only seen one move changed on an Echo fighter, which is Chrom with Ike's Up-B. Paula would require changing 2 moves, which would be Up Smash and Down Smash. As Lukas, the only thing that would be needed to change is the Rope Snake. And plus, considering Lukas' uses PSI power in his normal moves, wouldn't Lukas be a better fit for Paula, as Paula is the offensive PSI user in her game?
And Kumatora....isn't she a fist fighter? Does she have anything that can be used to replace Lukas' stick in his forward smash?

Okay, but, if Ness can use Paula's psi moves, then surely Paula can swing a yo-yo around

Man, when Ninty named this iteration of Smash as Ultimate, they weren't messing around. The amount of content they've already revealed is staggering, and the game doesn't come out for 4 more months, and that might mean EVEN MORE content is probably on the way including the possibility of some more characters being added, not too many, but some. With that in mind, having Simon and K Rool in is awesome. And having Castlemania music in is great too, And Exegutor reminds me of "I've got a love-ly bunch of coconuts..."

Mario, though it's a bit ambigous whatever what actually happen to him, someone said that the way Ridley grabbed Mario head could be Ridley trying to choke Mario to death.

Tho honestly, it's whatever you think how Mario got killed, in any case, it must have been very painful.

If we go by that interpretation of Belmont his favorite stage is clearly Wii Fit Studio. Full body mirrors, ooooh.

Went back and reviewed my 'Pros and Cons' for Ultimate, now that I've cooled off after the Direct. As of now, both lists are even. So, as of now, I am not planning on getting the game. This may change if the pros end up outweighing the cons by the time December comes around. I'll just have to wait and see.

I'll at least be sticking around Smashboards and remain a part of the community, though.

I'm really interested in what this 'Spirits' mode is. Dracula's Castle seemed to have two different forms, and the Monster Hunter stage with Rathalos was never mentioned as a stage in itself. Curious if this 'Spirits' mode will be a new adventure mode? Maybe the mainstream way to unlock characters?
