Re: Let's Go Pokémon - At the moment I might not get either game immediately on launch, but if I were to pick one, I'd probably choose Let's Go Eevee. Like I said, it might be a fun little diversion and a good testing platform for the true Gen VIII instalment of Pokémon, so it might be something I get when I feel like I've the time/funds for it.

But yeah, wasn't expecting these games to be revealed so soon.

Someone pointed out in the character speculation thread that it looks like the enemies got nerfed hard. . . that might be because you cant grind wild pokemon.


If you thought recent pokemon games were too easy. . .it might be a bad idea to buy this game lol. . .it also may be too early to make such assumptions.

Well looks like I'll be waiting until 2019 to get a Game Freak Pokemon game . With the way they're wording it at least Let's Go actually does sound like some kind of mutant spinoff though, LOL. It's the main thing making me wait until the 2019 game is shown off before ripping the inside of Pokemon Company's colon out, LOL.

Because whoooooo if this was a mainline while the lack of 99% of the Pokemon I like would be the main thing making me angry there's some other lid flipping stuff mixed in there.

Although hilariously enough if that $50 Pokeball is wired to work with all Pokemon and with future games instead of having some kind of "soundbytes/storage for only original 151" and isn't horrendously sold out by the latter half of 2019 I might just bite. A lot of ifs, but hey if it's actually fully featured it's kind of cute, if pretty pricey.

Well that's going to really suck because that's the only thing I really have against this game so far.

If there's anything that sways me to not buy this game it'll probably be that.

I don't know, if I were forced to play Let's Go I'd probably like it better than Pokemon Conquest?

But Pokemon Conquest is just my least favorite SRPG between it, FE 11/13/14, and Disgaea 5, so it's mostly just that mindless fluff would be better than a game I didn't enjoy that much that I actually had to think in. Might even be better than Pokemon Rumble Blast on my "All Pokemon titles I've played" list because eh that one just felt kind of hollow and repetitive.

But it's still mindless fluff. I'll skip it the same way I skipped Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity. If a previous title in a Pokemon line had a full roster and a sequel doesn't, the sequel doesn't get bought. End of story.

Man the more I read about this game the more I think Nintendo/Game Freak/TPCi is really banking on that casual market to get this game to sell.

Which it probably will in all likelihood but they've essentially done this at the cost of souring their core base. Which is a trade off I don't believe needed to happen.

Well, #TeamPikachu then. I love Eevee, but not being able to make use of its gimmick at all is very disappointing.

Yeah: I ended up skipping Gates to Infinity as well. It boggles my mind that they reduced so many Pokemon in that game down to about 150 or so for some odd reason... sure, they fixed it in Super Mystery Dungeon, but why have it happen in the first place?
