I have a FEH related question for you guys.

I realize that, while I currently have some pretty decent Fliers (namely, Michalis, Cordelia, and Valter), I haven't really considered making a flier team very much. Part of this is because I don't have any red fliers at 5 stars, which is understandable, considering there only 5 total within the entire game. Of those, two of them are seasonals(Halloween Nowi and New Years Camilla), and one of them is 5 star locked (Elincia).

Your Caeda is +atk -HP, which is pretty good for her. I'd go for it.

If you have a spare Distant Counter, she makes pretty good use of that, considering her high Res. Lacking that, stuff like Fury and Swift Sparrow work out well on her. B can be a lot of things; common options would be Desperation or a breaker skill. For C, she is a good user of Def Ploy, though in a flier team you might want to stick with Fortify Fliers. Glacies is an obvious pick for her special, particularly with a refined Wing Sword.

Mine is set up with:
- Wing Sword +Flashing Blade
- Reposition
- Glacies
- Distant Counter
- various tomebreakers/Quick Riposte
- Def Ploy

Which serves me pretty well in just about any team I put her in, fliers or otherwise.

+4 merge means her three highest stats at level 1 are 2 points higher while the other two are 1 point higher.

No matter the IVs, her three highest stats at level 1 are always HP, Spd and Res, making the math less of a headache when compared to those whose three highest can shift depending on IVs.

Oh yeah the constant doubles battles were pretty boring. Colo had a lot of dull points to it VS it's predecessors that had a ton of things you could do in them.

Like with Stadium you could go through the Stadium mode, the Gym Leader Castle, VS mode, Mini-Game mode, and a bunch of other crap. Colo is pretty limited on what you could do in game aside from the main story.

XD I recall being a step up from Colo but I don't remember much about the game. I do want to replay both games eventually as well.

Yeah, if there's one thing I'll say about the Gen 7 models, they look a lot better thanks to being future proofed.

The Gamecube games still had better animations though, the Pokémon in particular feels so bland and emotionless in the 3DS games (especially examples like poor Typhlosion).

I'm not entirely sure how to determine IVs from merged units?

Best way to reliably get IVs for her would be to get her to lv 20 and then preview her 5* stats. Her ideal boon is probably +Atk since she actually gets a superboon in Attack, though +Spd or to a lesser extent Res could be okay options as well. -Def is obviously her preferred bane since she's made of paper anyway.

FWIW I use her on my current flier team (Her, Minerva, Hinoka, F!Morgan). She does quite well there, though I admit it's not the best team. Also, you don't need divine dew to get Wing Sword, you can learn it like any other skill.

I main a Flier team so I guess I can help somewhat.

First off, you are covered for getting Caeda's Wing Sword. Getting the base Wing Sword just costs SP, and is obtained from Learn Skills. The refines cost SP, Arena Medals, and Divine Dew, and is obtained from the Weapon Refinery menu.

Caeda is probably best built as a Res tank/Glacies nuke (I main Clair, who is basically just lance Caeda, and I exclusively used her this way before I really went crazy with her), since the Flashing Blade refine for the Wing Sword should allow her specials to get out more frequently. The only thing is, if you want to optimise that role, someone else needs Fortify Fliers and Hone Fliers. Caeda herself is the only Fortify Fliers fodder in the game (Summer Corrin has it too, but she's too rare to use as FF fodder when Caeda is common). Ward Fliers is also recommended on another party member. Shigure is the easiest fodder for that.

Michalis can make for a good Def tank, plus his A-slot neutralises the effective damage against Fliers that he would normally receive, so don't put the C-Slot Def buffs on him. Put them on Cordelia and Valter. You should also give anyone other than Michalis the Drive Def 2 Sacred Seal, I've found it invaluable on my Flier team. Also, put the Iote's Shield Sacred on someone besides Michalis. I'd say Valter would be a good choice, and he could also be made into a great mixed phase unit since he has great ATK, SPD, and DEF.

As for Cordelia, the standard Cordelia build should work fine, just play around with ways to expand her offensive capabilities.

This should be enough to get the ball rolling and you can go from there.

Thanks for the advice! I decided to promote her now and I'm in the middle of training her up. So far, her Wing Sword seems quite useful.

Ward Fliers is also recommended on another party member. Shigure is the easiest fodder for that.

I sadly do not have a Shigure yet, but hopefully I'm able to get him at 4-star soon.

To add to the Flier Emblem conversation, you can get by using Goads over Hones. It's much more easily accessible since Palla has it and she's available at 3 and 4 star, and it's still an effective option since it gives +4 to Atk/Spd and it stacks on top of each other (so theoretically, you could get +12 Atk/Spd). It also doesn't rely on the characters being right next to each other to activate since Goads work within two spaces, so you can be more flexible with positioning then you would be with Hones.

Very well; I’ll tell you all what happened a few days ago and what that all means. I’m tagging praline and The Stoopid Unikorn due to them being the most curious and I’m tagging @Coricus because well... I think she’s going to really appreciate and maybe even love this.

So basically... me and Cori have been talking to each other for a few months now in a private conversation, mainly because I wanted to connect with and get to know her more, especially in light of my return to Smashboards at the beginning of March. A few days ago, she had expressed her frustrations with toxic people who basically made fun of what she liked and by extension what she’s loved almost all her life, with that being the Sonic franchise. I honestly couldn’t stand for this because she didn’t deserve to be targeted like that at all. So, I created a private conversation between us to allow us to connect more and also allow her to express her love of Sonic in a safe place, which I think has made her quite happy. However, that’s just from a few days ago...

The truth of the matter is that well... I’ve had a crush on Cori for a while now, up to 2 or so months now. This will surprise a lot of people, I’ll admit, but it’s the honest and genuine truth. She’s honestly a very sweet and friendly person, and I’ve been so happy to be able to talk with her these last few months as I feel she’s even happier because of that. And well... as we’ve bonded over the last couple of months, it’s been wonderful: we got to understand and know each other more and I generally got to understand what her life was like. From that, we just bonded and bonded more as time went on. Recently, however, she mentioned to me that she tends to not feel confident at times or that she doesn’t have as much experience in certain areas, which I honestly can relate to heavily. So you guys want to know what I did? I told her how wonderful, awesome, funny, silly, and smart she was, and I told her to be confident in these qualities as these are what make her what she is. I also told her to use the stuff she’s already experienced in and continue to emphasize on them while also considering new experiences for the future, as I believe she has a lot of potential as a writer, but could also learn new things to help her writing.

So at the end of the day... that’s what’s been going on, honestly. Cori really does mean a lot to me overall on here, and well... i’ll never forget the things she’s done for me on here. This... this is why I like her so much. >w<
