It is an educational game intended to inform the world about Polygamy and it's consequences. It's a favourite of mine really.
Actually, that'd be Polyandry.:199:

So Aonuma wants more Zelda games to be like Breath of the Wild in the future.

https://mynintendonews.com/2017/06/...dard-of-zelda-from-now-on-will-be-open-world/

Does that mean we hear more British Zelda? If so, cool.
Rest in piece Zelda Story...long live Zelda Exploration...

Okay, so I don't know if anyone has seen this, but there is a guy on /r/kappa who apparently knows some details regarding Marvel Infinite's roster, SFV getting a major 'Super Street Fighter V' update (won't be a seperate release like SFIV's were) and a new Ghosts and Goblins game.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Kappa/comments/6eqnpt/because_incompetence_has_consequences_heres_mvci/

Thoughts?

Keep in mind, this may be a credible leak (on the MvCI side of things) simply because he called the gng characters, Monster Hunter, Venom (as DLC), Strider, and Antman BEFORE Ryce and Saikyo knew about their inclusion in the game.
4 more Darkstalkers characters as DLC? Because that's exactly what the Capcom side of the roster was lacking.

What's going on?
1st thing is, it takes them hours to answer one thing. It could be something important, and they take forever. 2nd thing is they sleep the entire day like a snorlax, they live in cali and I live in Virgina and they sleep till 11pm or 12 am my time. I would say good morning, I get a good evening at 11pm. Then rinse and repeat the next day

And I havent been getting any sleep but thats unrelated to them, Ive just been tossin and turnin in my sleep a lot. Thought taking some sleeping pills would help but nope

Question:

When did the official favorite character poll first pop up for Awakening and Fates? How many months did that poll come up after their respective games' release, and how long did it take for the official popularity results to be announced.

The reason I'm asking is because I want to get an idea when will Nintendo release the official favorite character poll for Echoes, assuming it even happens.

I decided to start watching RWBY and binged through volume 1.

I like some of the characters, I don't like others. Some of the jokes landed, while others didn't.
The animation is great during action scenes, but very stiff and awkward during everything else. Though I won't lie, it does give the show a bit of charm.

So far I give it a solid okay.

Even if I agree with this stuff, its rather taxing reading it here.

We get it Trump is an idiot. You'd be hard pressed to find people who don't agree with that.

But we come here to talk about fun things you know?

Or at least, be less predictable than Trump cause its always Opo bringing it up and its always Kurri snarking it up afterwards with a strawman and its always Prof. saying no more and everyone else just not getting involved.

These political discussions have become so predictable I made a bet and won.

So is staying out of a rut.

I get enough Trumply Bumbly outside of SWF. Can this place at least be fun?

I understand that current events are important but its mind numbing at this point.
Good point. I see it like this-- you may not agree with all the choices he is making, and that's fine. But just try to, you know, make interesting discussions that don't end up in arguments... ? I personally (bolded to avoid drama) believe he's trying his best to make his country prosper.

Of course, I can agree that discussing current events is important. But saying the usual "**** Trump" or whatever has gotten annoying since the first day he announced his campaign and when he won the presidency last November. Did the protests from November 9 do anything at all? Nope, for starters.

I'd rather say just move on, and please get back to whatever you were doing instead of complaining about Trump's presidency. You are free to criticize the man, I have no problem with that. He isn't perfect. I'm not a mindless sheep who will always agree with what he does. But there are plenty of things to do on this planet-- I can certainly understand it if you oppose what he is doing, but can we just leave it at that? Just chill and talk about something that is fun, you know, like video games? At least that doesn't end up in arguments for the most part.

---

Now, please do not respond to me in a negative manner (like calling me a "bigot") just because I happen to have a differing opinion to the majority. You should respect mine, and I'll respect yours back. This is not aimed specifically towards you, Swamp, just so you know. I'd go as far as saying this applies to the Internet in its entirety, not just Smashboards. I'd probably say don't respond to this message anyways. I'm just voicing my relatively unpopular opinion.

Also, I don't recall TheBitBlock as being a "white supremacist." Out of all the images I've seen of his tweets, none seemed to give me the impression that he is one. Typical NeoGAF, given that's where Nibel comes from, but alright.

I'm done talking about this subject.

Wonder Woman was amazing.

It's been a long ass while since I've seen an origin story and first movie in a superhero series that so absolutely nailed the themes of that character.

This movie was beautiful and hit it so out of the park.

Everything ends up in arguments, video games are one of the most common. If it's not arguments, it's people raging about game development they don't understand but insist they do

Pyros are the worst. Even being a Heavy doesn't solve the problem.

And I have zero words for that Ghost n Goblins game....

A tiny bit of spoiler alert, things gets dark in Volume 4, but it had improvement on the CGI graphics.
RWBY is probably one of the few anime CGI style show that got popular in Japan and Taiwan, the two countries that one is obviously the origin of anime and other has the most anime fanbase besides Japan.
The plot were indeed okay, but what made RWBY stand out was its fighting scenes and its fanbase. Fighting scenes were smooth and quick, and the fanbase create a lot of awesome RWBY OCs.

The best part of the NBA Finals are not the games, but the dank stuff it comes from it.

Warriors in 6, I guess.

As an Autistic gamer, I'm wondering why people believe that people with Autism like Sonic the Hedgehog? Is it a strange coincidence? Something in the games appeals to them? Do any of you guys have a theory about this?

Because people like to make fun of others with disabilities, and with the Sonic fanbase being a large, vocal one it's an easy target. Just slap it on there, Sonic fans are autistic, boom!

It's real poor comedy

Its the same boat as people saying people who play Halo have down syndrome. People being jerks. Best to just ignore it all, in my opinion.

Yeah, I've noticed that a lot of people use 'Autistic' on the net as a slur and that bit of ableism annoyed me.

I did not know that people stereotyped Halo players as having Down Syndrome. Thanks for the advice;)

Well. I mean, I got it a lot. Not sure if others do too. I have aspergers so talking on mic is hard for me. Not as bad as it was before, though. That's why I like forums so much.

The common stereotype of Halo that I know of is that all the players are children, like most FPS's.

People will use whatever they can to be derogatory assholes. Thankfully there are others who are pushing back against it.

I used to be like them, any offensive term I found would be incorporated into my vocabulary. Didn't matter who was being offended because "oh, when I say it, it means this." I'm not sure what exactly happened, guess I just started to listen to others more, and eventually I'm trying to get away from it. Wish I never did any of that in the first place, but I'm human, going to make mistakes.

When I was a kid, I use to use the word gay a lot as a derogatory term.

Which is ironic to say the least.

Least when I met my first boyfriend anyways. :V

I used to use "a bundle of sticks" a lot, was probably my most used word for a year or two. Always defended LGBT and was ecstatic about any progress made, but still I insisted on using that slur, told myself when I said it, it meant "assholes."

Looking back, I really hate how I was as a teen. Always trying to be the edgiest jack ass around (thankfully failing at it since peers still deemed me the nicest in the school), but amongst my friends, the group that I hate being around now, I was a toxic piece of ****. Makes me wonder what it'd be like if I actually embraced the real "me" rather than some fabrication. Maybe I'd already be on HRT with a body I'm more comfortable with instead of just dreaming about it and growing complacent.

edit: I got myself depressed again. Probably going to be contemplating this for the next few days, as usual.

Is the Superman currently in Rebirth the old superman from before new 52?

The one that was killed by Doomsday in the 90's and stuff?

Edit: I've been trying to catch up, but I'm only to October 2016

Being able to play as many VC games as you want WITH online is a fantastic deal. All that needs to happen is to have good VC support like the SNES, N64, GBA and GC. Essentially free online Melee would have everyone ****ting themselves out of hype. "but I can use my Android for free services AND use emulators!"

Is the service any VC game? I thought it was one or a few games a month (that you get to keep afterwards, provided the subscription is still active).

Either way, it's not a lackluster deal, just have to announce Gamecube/Wii support and I'm sold (although, I'm sorta already sold since I like playing online in general).

They changed it to essentially a Netflix subscription, the online subscription fee is also delayed till 2018.
Also, the first deal was a single free NES game for a month, after that month you'd have to pay for it. Talk about fixing a **** up

Oh, so it's like the service Microsoft rolled out, except instead of 360 and Xbox One games, it's Virtual Console games. Alright, that's cool.

Actually really glad to see that kind of service get into video games. Now if only Sony did that. There's Playstation Now, which is sorta similar, but that's a ****ing streaming service.

Doesn't PSN+ do that?

No, not Netflix style. You get a group of free games each month to dienload, and keep with the subscription (how I thought Nintendo was running it). Xbox has a similar system, along with their new Netflix-style service.

The closest Playstation has is the PSNow service which is purely streaming

I think this is dependent on perspective. It's gonna depend on the background of different people.

If you're Nintendo faithful and plan to buy all of their online games and play them often, this is a great deal.

For me personally, it's a tad much. It's only NES and SNES games right now and it will only be specific ones (it's definitely not gonna be all of them or it would defeat the purpose of selling them separately). Online play is a nice bonus but I can't think of many NES or SNES games I would care to play online in (Goof Troop would be great for online co-op with friends but I doubt we're getting that :p), plus we don't know how limited it will be yet (will it be a standard global netplay feature of their emulation software, or do they have to invest resources into each individual game they want to work online?).

And whether it's legal or not, you can run NES and SNES games on a toaster and so plenty of people already have access to them. The NES Mini and the possible SNES Mini (which Nintendo has already alluded to making) also exist giving even less value to the free NES/SNES games to those who own one.

As for the standard online play of Switch titles, once again, if you love every single Nintendo game that comes out, then this is a great deal even without the free VC games. If you don't then it's a much harder sell. Nintendo's online services and infrastructure are objectively inferior to the competition (I don't care how much any of you prefer their library, that's subjective, but the actual service is inferior without question), plus they haven't quite got the same amount of third-party titles with online play coming out just yet, and they currently don't have some major games in the genre like Overwatch. That means if you don't absolutely adore at least one of their online games and would play at least one at least weekly, then this is hard to justify compared to PS Plus, for example, which has free, modern, and sometimes AAA full price games even if you don't play online. It's also worth noting that needing PS Plus to play online on PS4 is a slight misconception - it's actually only needed for games that run on Sony's own servers. I have played certain games, like LittleBigPlanet 3, online with other players without a PS Plus subscription. I think I also played Uncharted 4 once without it as well but it's surprising if that works.

Tbh though, I'm not the biggest player of online games. If Smash Switch and Splatoon 2 actually have good infrastructure and I can get hooked on them, I could use that as enough justification to buy the subscription.

"Hey guys, what did I miss?"

. . .OH, they made the online subscription the cheapest possible price we could guess from it's Japanese price, extended the free play time range, and fixed the problem people had with the online enabled classic games. And slipped in the extra time frame purchase options like some people asked.

I'm satisfied with Nintendo right now. Voice chat thing that's pretty much turning the dead horse to glue aside, they've taken note of people's complaints and addressed them accordingly.

All that's really left is to hope that the testfires help get things polished up and that they don't release a game with bad netcode that gives an inaccurate awful assumption about the quality of the services as a whole. Smash tends to have pretty bad netcode apparently, so I admit I'm a bit worried there. . .
