Here's a thought, what if we were to get that as Zelda's voice in the English versions of Smash?

That would be pretty weird.

You get to keep the Virtual Console games, which I guess is pretty cool. I hope they don't just limit it to NES/SNES and other games of that era

I was wondering if you can still buy classic games without the subscription service, then I realised the $20 will most likely end up cheaper than buying the games individually. Assuming there's enough games for it, the price of renewing might be enough for people wanting to fill up a VC collection.

Now hopefully Nintendo doesn't make it so all the really worthwile titles aren't part of the service and make you buy them individually.

That's kind of old news regarding BotW actually, I seem to remember Aonuma said that a couple months ago near the game's release...but then again that's kind of expected given how well received the game was in general...

My biggest concern is whether we're actually going to be going to different lands with this new Open World approach it has...Zelda games are mostly taking place in Hyrule for the most part and after playing through BotW for hundreds of hours I definitely had a really good run through Hyrule and having another Zelda game take place in Hyrule would seem redundant, unless Hyrule goes through some very drastic changes to make things fresh...


Also cool news regarding the online services actually...Nintendo probably wants more time to iron things out hence the extension, plus they probably want to give Splatoon and Arms some decent time with the online services...

and Permanent monthly game downloads is good news as well...hopefully they'll have a good selection of games per month to make it at least somewhat worth it...actually that'd be a neat idea if they offer a few titles at a time and we could choose one for the month, then next month could they offer the others along with a new choice...

While the free Super Street Fighter V sounds generous, when you look at what's supposedly happening with MvCI, it sounds like Capcom is saying they're taking steps forward but are wildly running backwards.

The Super Street Fighter V sounds interesting. I was wondering what they were going to do regarding the story. Can't just add a bunch of characters and not have a story with them. Assuming it is real, I do hope it's what SFV needs to actually be a fun game.

As for the Marvel stuff, if that's real, the DLC sounds like overkill. I personally don't mind a game having a ton of DLC, but dropping a ton of characters like that for a fighting game sounds like much.

Wow, it almost sounds like Nintendo is aiming for a more Netflix-like service with their VC (which because of their omission of the term "VC" - makes me believe some rebranding might be taking place, which I guess makes sense if the method of provision has changed) which is a fair bit more forward-thinking than I gave them credit for.
Obviously this wasn't their initial plan, though I'm happy it seems to have changed. Maybe they actually listened to feedback? (Not that they'd ever admit it). Of course there is always the caveat that this functions apart from the VC, and applies only to a select number of titles.

The only problem is... I wasn't planning on getting the online service. I'd miss out on stuff here and there, but almost all of my gaming is local multiplayer these days, with the occasional single-player game from time to time. But... if they're doing a whole Netflix deal... I guess that changes things. And I suppose it helps warrant the $20 price tag, which I admit isn't overly unreasonable, even if the voice chat system they're going with is beyond ********.

Caught up with the thread. The marvel sounds is ok, mostly expected choices if real, could still be fun. There is the other rumors of X men via DLC so I wonder if that could happen. Regardless I'll wait to see more before truly looking at what leaks could be right.
