I'm just here looking at the thumbnail and I 100% do NOT want to click it
That show was so good, what did it do to deserve this?
The main problem here is that the name of the show is "All-New Jackie Chan Adventures", which inherently ties it to the original from a marketing standpoint, so people will assume it's a continuation or something.

But it actually seems like it couldn't have anything less to do with the original show. Jackie (who looks like a teenager for some reason - I'm not even sure if he voices himself) is like some dream world Power Ranger who protects the dreams of kids from a "god of nightmares" called Professor Chaos (unfortunately it's not Butters from South Park). And he has a rag tag group of kids who come into the dream world to help him (called the "J-Team").

Like it still wouldn't sound any less silly if the name was different but giving it a similar name to the original show will just tarnish the original show's reputation and rile people up. At least it could be it's own silly thing if it had it's own name.

Rathalos MIGHT not end up playable but rather as a part of Hunter's strongest attack, so hype with caution I guess
Speaking of Monsty Hunty, I need to borrow one of the games from a friend. Which 3DS game's the most beginner friendly?
Both MH4U and Generations are pretty beginner friendly, there are still some things you'll have to look up such as Armor skills, but both do get you to understand the combat of the games and how the town works before throwing the hard stuff at you. 3U isn't too bad itself, but its underwater combat can be off-putting if you don't care for it, and if you're looking to get into the online it's much more limited then the other two games.

So uh

Anyone else remember the old Jackie Chan Adventures cartoon?

As a fan of the original show, just going off of that trailer I'm... not happy about this to say the least. It would be one thing if it at least kept the general gist of the original's feel, but it just seems like your generic children's team up show without any of the charm or themes that made the original what it was. If they wanted to do a Jackie Chan show in this mold, then just do a different one with its own character and ideas, don't try to draw from the nostalgia of the original if you're not going to bother to take from the original in the first place.

Finally realised why Jackie's model bothers me so much in the new show, besides looking like a teenager.

He doesn't even look Chinese. He looks like he could be from a Middle Eastern country.

It at first reminded me of the film "The Illusionauts", AKA Fantastic 4orce, AKA Freedom Force

Which is a Peruvian knock off film

IDK why, some of the character models in that movie looked similar

But upon looking again, the Illusionauts has MUCH WORSE animation and modeling

World of Final Fantasy (2016)

Also that guy's head looks badly photoshopped onto his body.

Those are some of the UGLIEST character designs I've seen in a while. Though there's some worse knock-off movie designs.

This year is still shaping up to be pretty terrible in terms of anime and manga (with some exceptions). Because the anime was so poorly received, the manga is getting cancelled with no question asked. Yet another reminder of why the Japanese manga industry is ****.

As if it wasn't horrible enough for what Disney did with Wander Over Yonder.

Here's a brief video of Dr. Cortex in the N-Sane Trilogy.

Yeah, I was about say something about that. Can't forget the OGs. I mean, they did build some cooler robots and all.

Apart from Jimmy Neutron, the Madagascar spinoffs and that french DK series that originated the Expand Dong meme there's another memorable CGI series?

The recent Nickleodeon TMNT show is pretty good from what I've seen.

Some of the key people behind the original Teen Titans series are involved with it.

It's not a series per say, but Vídeo Brinquedo's line of movie knocks-offs are pretty...special, I guess. At the very least, one can admire the naked blantantness of the whole thing.

Such classics like Ratatoing and The Little Cars come to mind.

Transformers Prime(Probably one of my favorites)

2012 TMNT
Transformers Beast Wars(though it's pretty dated looking now)
MTV's Spider-Man(NPH was Spider-Man) It was okay
Iron Man Armored Adventures(Tony and friends are teens now though) It was also okay.
Beware the Batman was pretty stylized looking.

I haven't watched it, but people seem to like that Miraculous Ladybug show as well.

Some people like the Sonic Boom cartoon too. Here's to hoping Mega Man 2017 is at least passable.

Probably better than Fantastic Four 2015

The new Super Bomberman R update/content is reminding that Bombergirl still exists.

Curious what's going on with it now.

The first which comes to my mind:

Half-traditional design too, but still.

Since we're on the topic of CGI shows, I found one I was trying to remember. Eon Kid/Iron Kid. Clearly a Astro Boy/Mega Man inspired series. It was actually a Spanish and Korean made show. I vaguely remember it. I'd add it to the list of CGI shows worth checking out.

It's probably at some arcades in Japan successful with lonely men who don't mind touching a controller that has been made unsanitary by enthusiasm for bombergirl.

Wait, Keijo was poorly received???
Was that on Japan only? Because that thing was a meme machine and the only reason it wasn't the most popular in the Fall Season is because Yuri on Ice existed

I just looked up this "Keijo" and what I got was ...interesting.

I'm kind of glad I got out of anime when I was in my 20's

From what I recall, it was kinda meh compared to the manga it was based on.

Sometimes I forget Miraculous Ladybug started as an anime before jumping to CGI.

Sometimes I wonder if the series would have got the same amount of following if stayed as an anime.

This cool game released on Steam a couple of weeks ago.

It's made by LakeFeperd, who made a highly praised trilogy of Sonic fan games (Sonic: Before the Sequel, Sonic: After the Sequel, and Sonic Chrono Adventure). The game had a Kickstarter which successfully raised over $9,000.

In general, the game plays a lot like a 2D Sonic game with the speed, physics, and the level design. But it also has a focus on combat (like Freedom Planet). It takes inspiration from Kirby in that Spark can get find power-ups within the levels that completely change his moveset and change his appearance, which is the main mechanic of the game.

It's $14.99 and it apparently is decently long for the kind of game it is, so although I haven't tried it yet, I think I can recommend it.

http://store.steampowered.com/app/601810/

The only bad thing I've heard about it is that the game has performance issues on some PCs (ironically, on more powerful PCs as opposed to weaker ones). So you might wanna try the demo to see if your PC runs it fine. The download link for that is on the Kickstarter page.
