I dunno who that is but I see tentacles there so no, thanks

My biggest fear that CG would take over humanity has come true...
I don't know if that'll ever happen, the last attempt didn't work out that way. :p

That's 3D animation you dummy
And that movie was ****ing great
The technology is technically CGI and not to mention it's suppose to replicate real people.(It's also not animation, it's mocap.) In fact, originally it was suppose to look even more realistic.

Also, too bad, Mars Needs Moms killed off the line of movies that did the polar express mocap thing. :p

You'll get a creepy looking live action Woody played by Willem Dafoe with CG humans and you will like it.

Willem Dafoe? Try Steve Buscemi.
Here's your nightmare fuel boys.
ts6.jpg

Thank goodness that Dafoe does a creepy face 95% of the time, so getting an image was easy.
666 because... I found the "6" in Toy Story font casually :v

So I was looking for wrestling mashups when I find... This.

This might be more bizarre than Dolph Ziggler x Sonic the Hedgehog. But it also somehow works.

Theory crafting is fun...

Especially for Breath of the Wild...

But first here's a strawpoll...
http://www.strawpoll.me/12713912
Unified Timeline is the timeline that begins at Skyward Sword and ends at Ocarina of Time when the timeline split happens, refers to the Unification of the Kingdom of Hyrule...

Convergent Timeline is the popular theory suggesting the end of the three timelines merge into one timeline during Breath of the Wild

Still believe it's in the Child Timeline...despite the very blatant quote from Zelda in the first memory referencing Skyward Sword, Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess, apparently there's still some uncertainty pertaining to the legitimacy of this quote...personally I find it rather hard to ignore since it's not just something thrown in as a random Easter Egg since it's quite out in the open and if it wasn't directly referencing the events of Twilight Princess, then I question why it is brought up in such a manner...

In addition to that...we have several locations that appear to be taken straight out of Twilight Princess being the remains of Arbiter's Grounds, The Bridge of Hylia, and Hyrule Castle and Castle Town (which of course bear a very strong resemblance to that of Twilight Princess)...of course there appears to be plenty of locations from several Zelda games and of course that includes those within the Downfall Timeline, especially considering the map layout most resembles that of the Downfall Timeline...but it still has some found in Twilight Princess such as Snowpeak, now known as the Hebra region...

Evidence of Ruto's awakening as a sage to help the hero defeat a great evil...This seems to contradict both the Child and Downfall timelines as this only occurred in the Adult timeline (and I was confused as **** when I found this info in game because of it) but a simple explanation can be that Link passed on the knowledge of what happened in the Adult era to the royal family and the Sheikah (or simply Impa) after traveling back in time, which he did since he had to warn Zelda of the threat that Ganondorf possesses...A counter argument was that Link wasn't recognized as a hero in his time, but the truth is...he wasn't the transpiring events were prevented but a new disaster happened being the resulting war afterwards, which Link wasn't apart of due to his three day timeloop in Termina...after returning he likely served as a knight/soldier of Hyrule who probably had an unfortunate end, considering how he appears in twilight Princess as the Hero's Shade...
Reminder that the origins of this lore found in BotW do not go back very far as it was comissioned by the same King Dorephan 100 years prior to the events of BotW...the knowledge passed down over time becomes legend all the same and Ruto as Princess, was likely still a very important figure to the Zora people during the time after OoT...

Also worth noting that only Ruto was confirmed to be an awakened sage, Nabooru was referred to as a 'Legend of the Gerudo' while Darunia's stance is unknown, and Medli is a whole nother can of worms...being the respective Rito sage...

Speaking of, the Rito are a contradiction themselves since Wind Waker was the only other appearance they had which occurs in a timeline that, IMO is impossible since Hyrule isn't at the bottom of the sea...However, conveniently a year ago we had Twilight Princess HD released and fans found something rather interesting and at the time very baffling...being the carvings that depict what appears to be a race of bird-like people, very much like the Rito...could this be evidence of their existence in another timeline other than the Adult timeline? It was added into TPHD for a reason, and unlike the BotW screenshots slapped in this seems to be more than just a mere reference since it doesn't really reference anything in particular apart from the importance of the Gorons, Zora, Rito, Oocca, as well a an unknown woman and man and child representing the hero of legend...

And since we are on about the races...For pretty much all of the games in the Downfall timeline (except the Oracle games) the Goron, Gerudo and the Zora (as we see them in BotW) are absent...Zora have evolved into something a bit more malevolent, though they are not without order as we see in ALBW...it's possible these races were simple MIA as was the Gerudo and Sheikah but the Goron, Gerudo and 'Sea' Zora have all been present in teh child Timeline between Twilight Princess and FSA...

These points regarding Ganon are sort of stretching but still worth noting I feel...I just want to point out that Calamity/Dark Beast Ganon do bear some resemblance to what we saw in Twilight Princess...Calamity Ganon's face does have a slight resemblance to Ganondorf from TP as well as Dark Beast Ganon being an oversized Demon boar with the same name...
Also Zelda mentions that he's given up on reincarnation, which could suggest Ganon's undergone multiple incarnations overtime, which he has in the child timeline with Ganondorf and Ganon as seen in FSA...now correct me if I'm wrong but in the Downfall timeline Ganon's always been the same beast just revived each time after being slain in the previous game...

I can confidently say that Breath of the Wild is likely going to be in the Child or the downfall timeline if I'm wrong...Confirmed from Aonuma and Shiggy themselves that it's not the Unified timeline, and the Adult timeline is pretty much impossible since Hyrule was destroyed and a new colonization happened in New Hyrule in Spirit tracks...A Convergent Timeline I see as very unlikely simply because there isn't any significant event that could cause such an event to occur to merge all the existing timelines together...The timeline split in Ocarina occurred because of Zelda sending Link back in time (with the Downfall timeline being an alternative scenario, which could leave possibilities for other alternative scenarios which just makes things way more complicated than they already are) This is literally only a theory because BotW has references to every Zelda game, not all references are meant to be taken as canon (such was the case with Majora's Mask in ALBW)

I don't see any evidence that truly negates the Downfall timeline, but also nothing that solidly disproves the Child Timeline either, but based on the evidence we have my final stance is the Child Timeline until we have official confirmation saying otherwise...

I think it's Downfall after an argument convinced me.

To provide more of an opening for it,

1. It's ten millenia + however long it took the Sheikah to rise up and develop technology after Ocarina of Time, when Twilight Princess was considerably closer. I doubt everything would be maintained that long.

2. She references Wind Waker after the other characters start talking over her in that cutscene. And I think a Downfall timeline game, too.

3. Pretty sure Ruto woke before Link died for Downfall to happen, right? I figured fighting Ganon came at the end of OoT.

Of course, someone apparently noticed some kind of time related object from another game in the throne room or something. . .

Why is unified timeline even an option? The only thing Aonuma's told us about BotW's timeline placement is that it akes place after OoT.

Arrrrr.

*Looks at CG Tarkin and Leia in Rogue One*

It already started.
CG Tarkin tipped my uncanny valley sensor versus Mendelsohn's Krennic, much less versus Cushing himself. The motions felt too smooth, devoid of something. Looked like I was watching Star Wars Rebels with an HD Texture Pack - not badly done per se, but no substitute.

Was going to go dig up some clips for comparison but thankfully this guy with his copy of Windows Movie Maker did it for me:

Can't vote.

Timeline Where Eiji Stopped Giving A **** is not an option.

Agreed. Especially when seeing CG Tarkin at the theater, I felt like I was watching a cutscene from a PS4 or Xbone game. Not bad like you said, and it is just a minor nitpick in an otherwise solid flick.

I got a real kick out of this. Judging by everything I've heard about BotW, I would have voted for that too.

Speaking of Zelda.

Here's a question for those who have played or know about Skyward Sword.

Does Demise being a thing weaken Ganondorf as a character?

Nah he makes him better because Ganondorf is much cooler and more interesting in comparison.

Not any more than any of the other times Ganon was used as a mindless evil plot device with no characterization.

I'm looking at you Oracles, Link Between Worlds, Breath of the Wild.

I don't think so, if anything, it gives a reason as to why they can never seem to kill him for good, tying his spirit as much as Zelda's and Link's are

MMMMMMM GLORIOUS DMCA NOT AFFECTING KISSANIME IN MOST OF EUROPE SO I CAN STILL WATCH

I interpreted that curse as a curse of all evil, not just Ganon, so it did Vaati, Majora, etc.

Wait, it's still technically up? ****, I need a good VPN app now

I dunno how that would work
I mean, if it's of all evil then why is Ganon the one who comes back 90% of the time?

Zelda I as well, though that's to be expected from an NES game.

Basically, all of his appearances in the Downfall Timeline barring ALttP. Hyrule Historia even states that Ganon lost his intelligence after being resurrected in the Oracle games.

I mean, I see where you're coming from with the interpretation. Wording is thus:

"An incarnation of my hatred shall ever follow your kind, dooming them to wander a blood-soaked sea of darkness for all time!"

Since in each game at least some kind of evil thing follows the reincarnated Link and Zelda, theoretically that could be the work of Demise's curse.

But honestly I think it's probably more reasonable to assume that there's multiple sources of evil in the Zelda world.

Hyrule Historia even states that Ganon lost his intelligence after being resurrected in the Oracle games.
Pretty sure this one line is the best argument for BotW taking place in Downfall that I've ever heard.

Calamity Ganon is D-U-M.

I saw something about Dragon Ball and I have no idea what exactly was heing discussed but anyways:
Dragon Ball might as well be the Trope Codifier for a lot of Shonens but it suffers the same problem Ocarina of Time does now, it didn't age well.
It plays so many tropes straight that it doesn't have anything unique to it now, even if those things were unique at the time.
Compare it to Jojo, who even today manages to keep its own identity despite playing almost every Action Shonen Trope straight.

Besides, it's not like it did most of them right, overusing Death is Cheap is an easy way to make viewers lose all feeling of tension and stop caring about the fights. Having a death is worse than no one dying when you know the status quo will be restored by the end.

Speaking of the fights, most of them don't even hold any personal conflict and it seems they don't know how to make unique ones simce characters all have the same abilities with some exceptions that I can clearly remember such as the guy who could stop time, Cell and Majin Boo
And oh god are the transformations such a boring way to pad out the fights
About LWA 14...
Oh my god! The new OP is fricken amazing!
So yeah, this episode marks the debut of the main antagonist Croix. Who is a witch that use high tech stuff... I really wonder how will Constanze think about her...
The faeries went on strike, and this made me realized that faeries has their own language. I mean I heard to speak normal human languages before. So that's weird.
And the reason was that they want more power use of Sorcerer stone, which wasn't possible until Croix came for help. But obviously one of the teachers フィネラン (ya know? The teacher who want threat Akko expel if she is still suck at magic?)doesn't like it.
And we then get to realized it was Croix being the undergoer... who use a fake faery and hurt one of the faeries, so they went berserk... but Croix later handled it, of course.
We only know Akko seems to like her a lot, which also seems to be a scene that Ursula/Chariot doesn't want to see.

So it seemed that the girl in the pic back in episode 3 and very likely to be Croix.

Glasses, hair, even her hair style is a nearly perfect match. So yeah, it was Croix.
Just what happened between them?
