Alright, who at Nintendo thought it was a genius idea to make motion-based puzzles? I can't even figure out how to position my Switch to properly guide myself through these things, every moment it's just trouble. Considering Judd's backstory, I'm still leaning towards clone.

Of course, that begs the who, why, and how of pulling that off, but as a kitten with identical fur patterns to Judd mysteriously showing up between the last game and this one and no female cats in sight the options are kind of limited. Judd was carried to this new world by science and may or may not have inexplicably achieved immortality by science, he can have a Judd-kitten by science.

Going into pure speculation with absolutely no basis in evidence, I'm currently wondering if the Octarians cloned him and then the Inklings found him somehow and adopted him. The Octarians always did seem a bit higher tech than the rest of the sea life. But with absolutely nothing to base that on, anything else leading to "Judd got cloned" seems just as valid right now.

Even the name Li'l Judd works just as well for a clone as any child.

Dogs tend to leave the pack when they're ready to die. They go and find a place where they can die alone so they don't trouble the rest of the pack.

Dogs and cats also mourn by becoming lethargic.

That was really sad.

I think I was a version of Anna? Been a while. I often use a normal type of boards, but only cause I'm a mod and have to watch out for inappropriate avatars. Not that I wouldn't get reports about it, it's just kind of a personal preference.

Species rise and fall, wars begin and end, but at the end of the day the world keeps turning and honestly isn't too different from where it left off in the first place.

It's almost kind of disturbingly poetic.

Although IMO the backstory of the original Splatoon always seemed to have quite a few holes in it in terms of how everything went down. THAT SAID. . .there's one Sunken Scroll that leaves a possible explanation that would leave everything easy to retcon. The Inklings as a species are pretty much ignoring the question "Why are we here?" on purpose. With that in mind, it's not a stretch to assume that their explanations on the topic might not be the most accurate. . .

*EDIT* Oh, and a couple of other Sunken Scrolls pretty much establish they have much less idea what they're talking about than they think they do anyway, LOL. Not really that much different from the humans before them, actually.

Did anyone else notice that this character has a ****ing Leelah Alcorn poster? I’m disgusted by this. Not because she’s transgender and celevrating(?) someone who is considered a martyr for transgender rights, but because it’s a poster. It doesn’t look self made, it looks mass produced. In this universe, people are profiting off of someone’s suicide.
