From what I felt whenever I take the switch outbof its dock after houra of play, it does not get hot enough to warp anything. it sure doesnt get 3DS levels of hot. But its best not not spead parania more then the nintendo switch reddit is

My 3DS never got as warm as my Switch did, but then I don't think my Switch ever got as warm as my non-Nintendo devices either.

I think the Reddit is stirring up a bit of nervousness. A lot of the problems are probably legit, but I also think some people got shipped bent Switches and are quick to blame the system overheating on it or are tempting fate wedging things into their docks. Then people who never intended to get a Switch in the first place across the rest of the internet use it as confirmation bias or whatever.

Might give a brief BotW Progress Report so far - now that I've freed Vah Rudania.

I'd made quite a bit of progress before today, clearing out those sentry-Guardians on Death Mountain, but this part of the game I'd say is prone to some technical faults; I've encountered some frame stuttering or some minor freezing when I knockdown and rag doll a Moblin, but thankfully it was just a minor thing. Following that was getting into Vah Rudania, and that was pretty terrifying initially - the lights were off, and I could barely see anything in front of me save the blue torches. After getting the map sorted, Vah Rudania is certainly one of the more complex Divine Beasts/Dungeons in the games, thanks to the gimmick of turning itself 90 degrees (which is once again terrifying if you're on the outside of it and you're about to fall into the lava.

Fireblight Ganon wasn't too bad a boss fight; I'd say more enjoyable than Waterblight Ganon that's for sure. And having defeated it and freed Vah Rudania, I'm going to explore the world just a little bit more before I head off to the next Divine Beast; whether that's Gerudo or Rito, I don't have a preference for order, but might go with the Rito since I've been travelling Hyrule in a counter-clockwise direction. ...Or I could break away from this sense of linearity and make my way to Gerudo Desert to see crossdressing Link in action.

Re: the issues of the warping Switches, I think I can verify that my unit has this problem too.

Excusing the grainy quality of the picture, if you look towards the right-hand side of the system, you can see that it's not exactly sitting parallel inside the Dock. Could be the overheating of the system due to how much power it needs for Zelda, or maybe because in most recent days I've been playing it in Handheld mode and resting my hand on the back of the system. Perhaps the extra heat from my hand is causing a slight deformation too...

Like I may have mentioned earlier today, I hope that this is an issue Nintendo is willing to resolve in future models of the Switch, but for now, I don't think it's going to damage my current experience with it.

I guess I'm almost ready to call it for the night, now that I've done my Japanese quiz for tomorrow; but first, the one thing I've been waiting three or so years for... Persona 5.

Admittedly I was hoping to get NieR: Automata alongside it, but unfortunately because I didn't get around to picking it up since it launched, EB Games cancelled my pre-order. :/ Oh well; guess it's one I'll start saving up for, and with MK8 Deluxe this April as well, I guess I'd be happy with these two as my April purchases.

I would have given it a more appropriate assessment, but apparently that's what counts as a fanboy bias zone so I don't even want to know how paranoid the rest of the internet must be acting if that's the case.

*EDIT* WebMD is actually a pretty good way to put it, LOL. The problems may be legit but the fear is kinda over the top. People talking about treating their systems like a light breeze will destroy them. It makes watching Switch durability tests fun because underneath the launch stuff the system has. . .what's the right way to put this. . .insane defense stats.

Well... now that it has been confirmed that both Corrins are getting an amiibo, I am simply just disappointed compared to how I was acting yesterday. I am a bit concerned regarding the potential Smash port having new characters as of now and while this possibility still stands even if these amiibo do not confirm it, then that would reassure me so much. Just as long as they don't forcefully show off both Corrins when they eventually release the missing amiibo, then I might have faith in the future. Since I am sure Source Gaming is reporting on all this, what is your opinion regarding us getting new characters for Smash Switch now, PushDustIn ? Just curious.

I still believe the original rumor I reported: two Smash games for Switch (Melee and a port of Wii U) with the port having 2 new characters is likely.

I remember when the 4 amiibo certificates were discovered, I stated that it was too early to tell if it was a new character or not. Partly because it didn't align with the rumor (if there were five certificates, then maybe I would've believe that they were the new characters). If you pay attention to Source Gaming, then you would know that we didn't even do a full story on the amiibo certificates, and that's because I was pretty weary about them (being anything more than the announced amiibo).

So, the news actually validates my gut instinct on the amiibo certificate, and I get to tell some people "I told you so".

If the rumor does come true, and there are some new characters, then the amiibo for them would probably come later. I can see the rest of the Smash Wii U/3DS amiibo releasing in summer to coincide with a Smash announcement.

Oh... well then. So Lotte's mother clearly does not want her daughter to be influenced by bad things and Sucy's mother must be a very wealthy person. As for her personality... I wouldn't be surprised if it was stone cold or something like that; maybe Sucy took after her mother for the most part? Akko's mother still remains a mystery though, huh? Unless we already saw her, but that's just me.

I still have yet to continue watching Little Witch Academia from where I left off, mainly out of laziness, but the fact that I am questioning still if watching it alone would make sense is why I haven't continued with it. I do want to watch more of it, for sure, but yeah. Then again, I imagine you and @Shishœ have watched it alone for the most part, so I doubt it matters much.

But like the first movie and the Enchanting Parade, it is said that the TV anime is a complete new story, sure most of the characters, settings that were introduced in those two movies were being carried over. The two manga one by Teri (Only one chapter), and one by Yuka.
The most recent is by Satou Keisuke, which is the one that is based on the anime lore.
I can find one chapter of Teri's but I can find Yuka's.
I'm actually fine with Sucy's mother for now, Lotte's mother I think they can do better.
Oh yeah, hope this is not a spoiler, but just look at Sucy's face:

I think you can try to lay your Switch on a flat surface and see if the Switch's is warped or not. Similar method as to tell if your phone's battery is swelled up or not.

I just like to imagine the idea of there being some "magic" solution set up for Smash that allows Mega Man to eat and taste and him kinda going Sense Freak about it.

Would probably have a much more benign resolution, at worst the kid's gonna overdo it and end up with a stomachache or end up eating something that tastes bad or something if he's in that situation. He's a ten year old personality wise, he's not getting into anything too bad.

So because I was curious on the matter, and honestly never thought to ask, I did a brief search for "can Mega Man eat?"

Also, for the record, apparently Grey from ZX Advent ate oranges to replenish his health, suggesting that by that time in the Mega Man universe at least some of them were able to eat in some capacity.

Middle of the road.

Satisfies nostalgia, but execution is mixed. Writing and platforming has been mostly praised. Camera has been universally reviled. Even though I would have preferred they get the camera locked down before it leaves the gate, I feel like a camera fix after release would jump its scores dramatically. If ever there was a call for a day one patch, that's it.

A few have noted that the enemies and populations seem copied across worlds enough that a solid identity can't really be established for each place.

Basically it tries to be a 90's Rare platformer and gets it half right. I'd argue it gets the important half right, but the only way this one's going to come into its own seems to be a sequel.

That said it doesn't sound like a bad time if you're a Banjo-Kazooie fan. I'll probably still pick it up whenever it hits the Switch.

It's pretty widespread. For better and for worse it's a game that appeals to a diminished demographic (that being N64 style platformers), I don't think Playtonic was aiming to revitalize the genre, but rather give people who wanted Banjo 3 a little something.

Tho who knows I may be talking out of my ass and the game does suck.

EDIT: Yeah I'm watching the GX review and I can't defend that awful performance. I fear for the Switch version.

Honestly, I suspect some of this remains budgeting concerns. Yes, $2.6 million is a lot of cash to us, but for a AAA game, even with a small studio, that's not exactly blank check levels. They seem to have mostly focused where they were strongest, and the rest kind of got neglected rather than shored up.

But despite that, it's still seemingly not a lost cause. I still cross fingers for a day one camera patch, so at least the public never has to deal with that gripe (guarantee that'd make its Metacritic jump from ~70 to ~75-80), but even if nothing is ever tweaked or added it's still seems to be a decent game that's got at least some potential as a series.

Of course in a week we'll find out how that really stacks up, but hey.

And if you're wondering: Breath of the Wild is missing in action from this timeline for whatever reason.

Yeesh, Sonic '06. I sympathize.

06 was my first Xbox 360 game. I bought my 360 to play it. I regret nothing. Legitimately so. That said, I still criticize the game despite liking it.

I honestly wish I could've enjoyed Unleashed despite paying full price, though. :/ I appreciate that it tried to bring back the older style of gameplay, but the Day Stages weren't well-designed. So that didn't help at all(I enjoy the Werehog more, respectively). The story definitely was better than 06, though. I eventually bought the Wii version of the game. Mostly cause the Tails stages stalled me forever. I couldn't get anywhere on them. While I had trouble with the Mach Speed stages in 06, I almost beat them each time I played. So in that case, it was more "I can still do this, but just not yet", where the Tails stages completely destroyed me and seriously killed my liking of the game. I also couldn't stand the immense speed of the Day Stages. For this reason alone, I recommend not playing the HD versions of Unleashed. There's nothing really wrong with the other gameplay overall, as in while my preference is for a bit slower speed than the Day Stages allowed(something Generations fixed up. Colors is still more than I prefer), the game is still good.

So, they retconnected the one trilogy that made sense?
Now Link being on sea for no reason in LA makes no sense(it was generally assumed that he was coming back from either of the two continents from Oracles) and there's no reason for him to be summoned in them either "hm, yeah, pretty sure that boy is the hero, magic doopsy-woopsie bring him to me".
The only thing that makes more sense now is Zelda not recognizing him in Oracle

Watched the GX review.

TL;DW: Ash liked the game but also feels the performance issues hamper the game a little too much, so your enjoyment of it will linger on whether you can put up with it or not. This is something Johnny brought up in his recent review. He thought Day Stages were a little too harsh, especially the later ones and yeah, I can agree.

Sonic Unleashed should definitely not be one of your first 3D Sonic games.
