If it isn't mandatory, I haven't figured out how to turn them off. First trial I did with them(involving rotating/moving a maze with a ball in it), it wasn't hard at all and pretty decent. That one involving the hammer however......ooo boy.

Well I did hear you can turn them off, I don't have the game yet so I'm unable to check myself.

Still it's just gyroscope... It's on par with mouse controls for aiming.

That hammer trial might change your mind. Like I said, I was legitimately trying to figure out which directions it went with the controls and it was only by pure luck that I managed to get it to do what I wanted. It was very frustrating. Like no matter how slow I took it, the hammer didn't want to go in the direction it was meant to go in order to do the trial.

You can turn off the gyroscope controls in the Options screen, and you just need to de-select 'Aim with motion controls.' That's how you can aim with just the right stick. Re: The Trial with guiding a ball through a maze?

When I saw that, I just said to myself, "I'm not playing by your rules, game." so I flipped the Joy-Con controller/grip upside down, and tried to flip the ball onto the other side.

Amazingly, after maybe 10 or so attempts, it worked.

Sometimes you need to approach the problem from another perspective entirely.

Granted these may seem to more severe than usual. The majority of console owners I talked to seemed to have little issue anyway. That being said, I always wait a little bit on these things to get those faults out of the way. Thankfully it's no Red Ring of Death.

I mean sure, but the thing is that it isn't just ONE defect, there just seems to be problems with it popping up left and right is all.

But most people are just commenting on how the cartridges taste bad of all things, so you're right that the problems aren't that big. Certainly no red ring of death.(But even that didn't kill off the X Box 360.) I myself am going to wait anyway.

It's great to hear the Switch appears to be doing well.

Hopefully more people will buy it once Nintendo starts to iron out the kinks.

I remember getting the Red Ring of Death on Christmas morning after getting some new games.

It was pretty disappointing, to say the least.

I mean, it's 12 minutes worth of different dysfunctions, so there's probably no one problem. But I've just been hearing multiple different problems from people all over. I doubt these problems are going to last after the launch period though.

I'd give my vote to Hinata because I love his dynamic with Takumi and how perceptive he is about other people's emotions that he knows which advice fits each person. He even knows how to make someone appreciate themself more (i.e. his supports with Kagero, Hinoka, and Felicia). I also like how he's willing to change himself or make amends in some way when he realizes his flaws. His playful puppy attitude also gives him points, as well as some fun battle quotes (i.e. "Let's get wild!"). Move-set wise, he definitely doesn't hold much of a candle due to being a rather basic swordsman, but if they can let him dual-wield swords like the Hagakure Blade or the Axe Cutter, I think that would definitely help him stand out.

Saizo is my 2nd favorite Hoshidan male retainer after Hinata. I think he's miles more interesting than his brother because Saizo's attitude throughout the story actually makes sense. There's his believable revenge goal of avenging his father's death in the hands of Kotaro, but more importantly, Saizo is one of the very few characters who doesn't kiss Corrin's feet from the get-go (and for perfectly justified reasons as well). He has some great supports all around that show he is actually a dorky yet sweet individual underneath the edginess that made him good. Move-set wise, he may be another ninja, but I think there are ways to make him stand out. For one, I think he'd be heavier and more bulky compared to Greninja and Shiek, a reflection to how Saizo is the bulkiest of the Ninja Trio in Fates. He could also use a lot of explosives such as the Flame Shuriken in his moveset to reflect his mastery in explosives.

Minus a few supports, I found Azama to be a hilarious character, and there's no doubt he'd have the most memorable taunts and victory quotes because of his trolling personality. He could even stand out with a moveset that revolves around his Great Master aspects from the healing to the lance-wielding (more lance fighters in Smash is always a plus).

Subaki could be an interesting fighter too similar to Hinoka because he would be our first Pegasus Knight in Smash. Personally, I don't care for him as much as other Fates characters, but I do think he has some great moments, like the reason as to why he became a perfectionist in the first place.
