If irw just a Direct Mini, I'll be disappointed.
Speaking of devil....
That said, for a Direct Mini, it wasn't a bad Direct at all. However, it is a bit of odd that the first direct of 2018 they release is a Direct Mini... does this mean the real Direct will be on February or even March?
Man, don't you love when a enemy that have spike damages, that can deal damages to the entire party and focus on your healer come out of nowhere while you are fighting a unique monster?
Or just basically has an attack that takes a ton of damage...
Well, I did almost died when it first happened to me.(Thankfully, Tora has a special ability that let him keep 1 HP if a big attack hit him, So I runned away like a brave coward)
Seriously, if things get too dicey such as Unique Monster attract more monsters... run...
>Ys VIII on Switch
What the ****, nothing makes sense anymore. Hopefully this port will have a less garbage translation than other versions.
Trails series game on Switch when
Now I want to newest Legend of Heros on Switch..... also so contradicting when you know Nihon Falcom used to say they weren't interested on making games for Switch 2 to 3 months ago.
What I'm excited for:
- Word Ends With You On Switch
- Ys VIII on Switch (Remember how Nihon Falcom used to say they aren't interested on making games on Switch.)
The only game that grabbed my attention was the new Mario Tennis. Power Tennis for the GBA was one of the most fun I had with the console, and I have good memories in general with this series. Hopefully the story mode is nice.
Well.... it was nearly a disappointment for me... I was never a fan of Mario Tennis games though.
Also, should we be excited or worried that many Wii U games are porting to Switch?
Now I think Smash 4 Definitive Edition is even more likely now, have ll DLC included... new adventure story mode... Smash Run included, better online, Joy Con support etc
Feels weird that Nintendo has so much third party support now that they can kinda chill on the first party announcements.
Anyways SNK Heroines had a slightly different trailer in the JPN direct.
Looking at this.... is good, but... sorry, I prefer Blade Strangers...
I won't be surprised if this game will get some censorship...
Edit:
HELL, it's a miracle that this game is coming to the west...
Xeno is still niche in my eyes, but **** so is Bayonetta, so you got a point on both. Forgot about those.
Yes, but they are all awesome games...
Please... Xenoblade X on Switch....
If you own a WiiU, idk why you bought a Switch.
Huh, odd response but fair enough... it's easy to reply:
- Wii U has no more new games
- Switch can be a portable while you can't with Wii U
- Not much people own Wii U...
- Switch is a new platform, selling well, and will have more games than Wii U
- Better Pro Controller
- No more gamepad.
And btw... I don't have a Wii U... for now.
If Xenoblade X also gets ported to Wii U, then I won't be need of buying Wii U.
Personally, I'm still not sold on buying one. You're much better off buying a PS4 to tide things off, and wait for the Switch to really get some stuff going. We don't know yet just how "good" Pokemon and Metroid are gonna be. Other M was pretty terrible, and that had a lot of hype going for it before launch, and I haven't liked the direction Pokemon took since it jumped to the 3DS (gen 5 is still the best gen imo), so I'm not too confident about that either. Just going off an announcement and a placeholder logo, it's really not enough to get me excited. At least on PS4, I've got Dragonball and Monster Hunter to look forward to this year, plus all the stuff on my backlog from last year that I never got around to playing. It's a much easier life, than waiting on every bit of news that Nintendo pushes out, and then being bummed out when they don't deliver.
Plus, the Switch is very likely to get a revision+price drop in the future as well.
My two cents.
Here is the cue... if you prefer high quality gameplay than portability, Switch just might not be for you. Don't get me wrong, I like PS4, but I have no interest buying home consoles because I am not someone who stays in a house all the time... with Switch I basically can take my home console quality games on the go. And now sale numbers proves that a lot of people are highly interested with this concept.
I personally like Nintendo Switch a lot, hell it's probably my most favorite Nintendo console. When it comes to home consoles, even Nintendo ones I tend to feel how restricted I am when playing... also my parents have more control on me playing home consoles than handheld.... this is why I later bought 3DS and New 3DS XL... handheld were always my taste, since it has most of my favorite games. If I want to play high quality games I can just go and buy it on Steam, or buy PC games, such as Skullgirls and Overwatch. So for me I actually don't see a reason to buy PS4 since most of the games I want are on PC, sure Persona 5 is great, but it is on PS3 as well, and my sister had PS3 which she never played... hm....
And bro, Nintendo already had ton of great games back in 2017, Botw and Odyssey are no brainer, you also have Xenoblaade 2 (This is why I buy Switch believe it or not), Splatoon 2, DOOM, LA Noire, Skyrim, and many awesome indie hidden gems. We are just waiting any more games for the 2018 library, since Switch 2017 already had ton of great games, I don't know why you still kind think of that Switch lacks games... maybe I am wrong though but that's just me... or perhaps you are the few people who just aren't interested in Nintendo first party games... and that's is fair reason of course... but odd how games like Odyssey and Botw doesn't interest you... then I really don't know how can Switch get you excited...
Revision and price drop is also guarantee to happen... just not possible even this year.... 2018 probably just more games and bundles that are under 300$
