Man, don't you love when a enemy that have spike damages, that can deal damages to the entire party and focus on your healer come out of nowhere while you are fighting a unique monster?

Well, I did almost died when it first happened to me.(Thankfully, Tora has a special ability that let him keep 1 HP if a big attack hit him, So I runned away like a brave coward)

Then, the second time it happened. While my party did die alot, I was able to survive and keep it going. We killed the monster that came in and after a big chain attack, we killed the unique monster.

Man, does that feel good. I really like playing Tora, he is just so fun.

Hypest announcement was TWEWY, I can finally play it now.

Pokken DLC is whatever to me, I love Aegislash but I ain't buying tge game AND DLC just for him.

I might actually buy this HW version, I have the Wii U one but all the DLC and Legends stuff is definitely worth it imo.

The Mario update is free so I have no reason not to try it but they finally found Luigi, thank god

Ending with Dark Souls was disappointing though, I still want to play any of the series games but the announcer hyped that last one so much I thought we would get something NEW. I was lowkey expecting Smash when the screen faded black "don't you dare do the cross flames thing, don't you ****ing dare".

Thoughts:
- TWEWY on Switch is really cool and I finally have no excuse to not try it out
- Pokken DLC was a bit left field, but apparently DX sold well and people play it. Aegislash is cool.
- Star Allies keeps looking better, I rarely ever get Kirby games though
- Hyrule Warriors DE is a thing and has BOTW costumes. Neat I guess.
- A Mario Tennis game?? That doesn't look bad?? That has a story mode again?? Sure why not
- I was thinking of getting Ys VIII on PS4 and now looks like I can just get it on Switch. Sweet.
- The Odyssey update is pretty meh. But hey, Luigi is back. Just... Not playable.
- Oh yeah extra costumes those look nice.
- SNK HEROINES FIGHTING GAME WHAT THE ****. Day One.
- Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle featuring DK from the DK series. Cool.
- I always forget about PAYDAY 2
- Fe looks extremely pretty.
- CELESTE also looks pretty good.
- Tropical Freeze gets a Funky port. Never played TF so hey, I could get it now.
- DARK SOULS REMASTERED. Might cop.

Overall that was pretty alright. Generally liked it.

Also I don't care what anyone says SNK Heroines Tag Team Frenzy is already GOTY 2018.

Frankly its one of the best games on Wii U.

Worth a purchase.

That said, I don't think its worth buying again for me since I bought all the characters already.

I had the WiiU one (till I sold it).
I didn't like it. My first musou ever, and I just gotta say I find the genre as a whole to be very repetitive and tedious. It's fun for like the first hour, till you realize it's the same **** again and again ad infinitum.

I'm mad beyond words. Ports for days, just to see how much Nintendo cares for us owners of WiiU. Tropical Freeze? Cmon Nintendo, I wanted something new...

Also, the ports aren't even exciting to me. Hylure Warriors? Dark Souls? Where's Fighter Z??? Hey but we got SNK Tag Team Frenzy, much better than Fighter Z, right? (TWEWY is a bit interesting, I missed the DS version and always looked interesting).

Also, nothing to talk about Yoshi? What the hell? I thought that game was going to be released in early 2018, but they didn't tell nothing, so I guess the game will be releasing in summer, but still, pretty odd that they didn't say anything...

Extremely disappointed with this. Without all the teasing that Nintendo did I wouldn't be so mad, but they had to troll us for this nonsense. Enough ranting for me, I hope you guys found some enjoyment about this direct, because I sure didn't. In the end this is going to back fire Nintendo, let's see where they go from here.

Lmao nah it's okay fam. Warriors games just aren't for everyone. I grew up with the series, and found one of my most favorite characters through it. But it's ok.

Really once I get it, I'm gonna decide whether it's on par with Dynasty 8 or Samurai 4. Won't touch Orochi 3 (first impressions) but well, I don't think any Warriors game will curbstomp that LOL

Porting Wii U games to fill in gaps seems to be the way to go. While I'm not too sure if these ports were necessary, as both HW and DKC:TF did pretty well on the Wii U already and could've just moved on with new entries... I guess it's still nice for people to experience those games who never got the Wii U, they are quality games after all.

Otherwise, yay for Kirby release date but otherwise pretty meh direct.

Other M was pretty terrible, and that had a lot of hype going for it before launch, and I haven't liked the direction Pokemon took since it jumped to the 3DS (gen 5 is still the best gen imo), so I'm not too confident about that either. Just going off an announcement and a placeholder logo, it's really not enough to get me excited. At least on PS4, I've got Dragonball and Monster Hunter to look forward to this year, plus all the stuff on my backlog from last year that I never got around to playing. It's a much easier life, than waiting on every bit of news that Nintendo pushes out, and then being bummed out when they don't deliver.

Plus, the Switch is very likely to get a revision+price drop in the future as well.

You know, honestly? I'm kinda surprised that we got as much as we did for a Mini Direct.

Highlights for me:
- We finally got confirmation on Dark Souls Switch!
- Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze port! Honestly I expected that. The game is critically acclaimed but was on a console that, well...wasn't. I'll likely pick it up here when I get a Switch. Portability is a big draw.
- Aegislash in Pokken! And Blastoise, but mostly Aegislash! Cool stuff. Didn't expect Pokken to get DLC.
- Donkey Kong in Mario + Rabbids! Nifty! They're giving lots of love to Donkey Kong...maybe because it was the only non-Smash major Nintendo franchise to get nothing in 2017.
- Kirby Star Allies has a release date, as I expected. The painter power looks like a neat callback to Adeliene, adding to the numerous Crystal Shards references.
- Almost forgot, but wow. I'm actually hopeful for a Mario Tennis game again.

The only things I outright expected that didn't show up were Octopath and Yoshi getting their final titles, and an FE16 trailer. E3 or a spring Direct, ahoy!

All in all, I give it a "I would have gotten a bingo had the generator swapped the places of "Donkey Kong" and "Animal Crossing"/10

I do see your points. I do look forward to Monster Hunter World, but I was really hoping for Fighter Z to be on Switch, I want it portable... I'll hope for the best in the E3, but right now I doesn't feel good to be a Switch owner.

I think HW is a pretty fun game, it was the first Musou game I actually put time into it and I enjoyed it a lot, Adventure Mode is pretty long which can be good or bad considering most of the rewards are locked behind it. The characters' movesets are also varied and no one feels like a clone of someone else, their gimmicks also help with this, even though some of them are just annoyances.
I never bought any of the DLC though, so I can't say anything for that content but I'd believe it adds a ton of hours to the game.

I own a Wii U, Switch and PS4.

Since I've been building my Switch library the PS4 hardly gets played these days.

There's reason for Wii U owners to get a Switch. First year alone was stellar imo and this year is looking alright, though admittedly some more announcements, particularly in this direct would have been nice.

Really people should just go for whatever console has the games they want. I know for me and some other Wii U owners, that's the Switch. I've kinda gotten everything I want for PS4, sans KHIII and FFVII Remake (assuming it doesn't release on the next console generation). I'd hoped Sony would have shown off more titles I'd be interested in but they keep holding off and saying the next event will show more stuff, only to show even less.

Every time someone mentions XCX I remember how I never finished it.
I don't even think I ever will, which is a shame because I really wanted to but the level requirements are a ***** and I doubt I'm anywhere near close to beating it(I didn't even get to the first story mission in the 4th continent because my level was too low)
