I’m not spoiling anything for me. The game is just foreshadow crazy.
Well, I'm not going to spoil anything either. It's possible to talk about XC2 without mentioning the plot twists...
I am also going to have more rambling on the Quest, I can say anything much about XCX's quest, however I still stand by regard XC2's quest system a huge improvement over XC.
XC quest despite are mostly short, but they are quite a lot and you even have plenty of linear quest such as Monster quest, item quest, special quest etc... only a few actually have a decent plot in it... I also dislike how some quest have route A and route B which sometimes affect your location's affinity or even your award... which means that doing XC quests felt more like a chore
XC2 sure the quests seems long and even annoying sometimes, but some actually has some in depth plot.
I've checked Xenoblade wika... just for quest comparison...
In XC, in Colony 9 alone you have a total of 81 quests... you don't have that much in XC2's Argentum Trade Guild.
Much like XC, some quests need to perquisites such as reach to a certain chapter, have a certain party member etc... unlike XC I don't think there's certain quest that only available in a certain time period (I also hate this too...)
Blade quests are the ones that are probably the best implement in XC2, this isn't really much of a spoiler by the way since this was teased in the Japanese Xenoblade 2 direct... but there are some rare Blades that can only get from these quests... I'm not going to tell you who they are though. Blade quests same with regular quests have not only plot but even cutscenes... and those Blade quests really give rare Blades some spotlight, which really made them more like a party member. In order to trigger those Blade quest intentionally is check your rare Blade's affinity chart... some affinity requires to complete their Blade quests.
