I remember how huge this was all those years ago. People say Cloud getting in to Smash 4 is the biggest thing that has happened to the series but I think Sonic being in Brawl beats it by a longshot just by all the hype surrounding his inclusion.

A little late but Super Bomberman R is getting a soundtrack in Japan on December 13.

The first run of the soundtrack will include a download code for a playable character: Takosuke Bomber (from Konami's "Parodius DA!")

Hopefully it'll come to US and can get the character without the soundtrack as the game's music isn't too memorable to me personally (with one exception being World 1: Planet Technopolis)

Two, he was another well-known character mostly associated with Sony just as Snake was. And Three, the fact that he was not leaked earlier beforehand. That was a big deal. Megaman, Pac-Man and Ryu were big, but the fact that they were leaked beforehand and everybody expected them lowered the "surprise" factor with them.
With Cloud, not once was he ever mentioned when it came to leaks. In a time where actual leaks were and still are rampart, Cloud was one of the secrets that never got found or revealed by them. No one ever thought of him. And he became one of the most genuine surprises that gamers ever witnessed in an age where actual leaks were in multitudes. I still remember that day when he was revealed and the reactions were amazing.

Yeah, I remember Snake's reveal so vividly. That was around the time hype for Brawl really got going and the infamous E3 3006 trailer. Really brings me back.

Cloud was surprising and hype worthy but it wasn't like he was impossible to be in the game like some people thought he would. He's a video game character and a very popular one at that, not a 4th party character.

But you're right in that Cloud not being leaked beforehand in an age where everything gets revealed beforehand to the internet was a huge surprise. I remember watching the 11/12 Direct at College and my jaw dropped watching what was going on before my very eyes. Well that and the horrible lag I got from my College Wi-Fi lol.

I would still say Sonic was a much bigger deal than Cloud was IMO. Sonic was one of the two faces (three if you want to count Crash) of gaming in the 90's and is all in all more well known than Cloud is. Especially to a causal gaming audience which Brawl attracted for the most part.

IMO, I would say Sonic is #1, Cloud #2, and Snake is #3.

So first news, I just got Inigo on Fire Emblem Heroes. Which is good as I wanted him for a Green Dancer with Gronraven and Triangle Adept. He's also a +RES/-DEF, which isn't bad, as it helps him to survive Mages better. Either way, I got another way of going against Reinhardt and Bow Lyn.

Second. The Halloween update for Overwatch is up and the remaining costumes have been shown.

Zarya gets a frickin' 80's skin. It actually doesn't look bad. Although it's still an eye opener.

Also, Symmetra's skin is apparently a Dragon skin. Mei also gets a Hopping Emote to go with her Jiangshi skin. And there are new Victory poses for Tracer, Hanzo, Orisa, Sombra, Junkrat and Lucio.

Edit: Oh, Torb has a new Emote and Roadhog has a new Highlight as well.

Mario and Luigi would be playable, with like 7 characters as unlockables(Daisy, Peach, Wario, Rosalina, DK, Yoshi and Toad). They'd all probably be just reskins frankly or something.

I thought of some alt fire attacks like fireballs that shoot a short ranged cone of fireballs, bob-ombs which get lobbed forward in a downward arc, bullet bills which shoot from underneath the plane in a straight trajectory but they take a bit to reload. Pirahna plant that can attack enemies that are right infront of the plane. The regular bullets are starbits.
