Question time because I'm annoyed I didn't get to play Fusion today. What's the most disturbing thing you've seen in the Metroid franchise? For me, it has to be Nightmare, it's theme spooks me, the gravity thing makes me feel uneasy and useless and that ****ing melting slime face...Yech

Ridley's problem has never been his lack of appearances in the Metroid series...


It also hasn't been a lack of demand.


It's his perceived lack of feasibility that keeps him out. Sakurai is aware of the popularity, Sakurai is obviously aware of the prominence Ridley holds in his series. More in either of those categories is superfluous and won't amount to his inclusion. The one thing that will actually aid Ridley is his feasibility being altered for the better.

I suppose I was more-so just saying that I wouldn't be surprised if Ridley had another increase of requests after seeing him appear in Samus Returns. But yeah, the big issue that still remains is his feasibility.

If he ends up being a lot shorter than usual but still looking terrifying (Ridley usually hunches anyway), THEN his appropriate in Samus Returns would get more people on the hype train.

Now I'm imagining the guys developing any Metroid game with Ridley thinking "Ok guys, if we make this work, we'll have another character from this franchise in Smash, just make him look menacing and compare to the Smash scale" or something. Would be hilarious if it happened

Well if he's somehow smaller than normal I could see a big ruckus being made but otherwise I think it'd be more of the same tbh. Like I said, Ridley appearing in a Metroid game isn't exactly out of the ordinary.

Thematically...GFS Valhalla hands down...from the dried husks of GFed Troopers and Space Pirates alike, to finding a Metroid just casually dragging a corpse along the ground like its a toy, to entire skies filled with Phazon Metroids of all sizes...

The most disturbing thing about the Metroid franchise is Sakamoto's belief that people didn't like Other M because no one wants to be an icky girl which is incredibly tone deaf and like borderline sexist for a few reasons.

Sorry, I was a little too reactionary, I know it's been around for a while. I just jumped the gun and assumed the worst, I don't know why.

If they do remake Other M, they need, absolutely NEED, to get rid of Adam's asshole behavior. An absolutely unlikable character, and it really doesn't feel good that even after all the abusive behavior, Sammy still thinks him a good man.

Since I was recently playing the Wii U again, I decided to fire up SSB Wii U and play online. But not in For Glory, since I retired from that mode after 1000 wins and never want to play on Omega again.
I discovered 2 things:
1) Tournament mode is so dead it's near impossible to play the premade tournaments. (Or at least during some times of the day, since I actually had a full 8 player tourney once.)
2) TAUNT MATCHES EXIST!!!! (Abit less fun due to the penalties in online play and random stage select).
It made me nostalgic. In the late Brawl days, I used to get hit with nighttime loneliness, and taunt matches always cheered me up. They still do that. Guess i'll be playing the game abit more. And get banned but whatever.

Taunt matches have always been a thing.

The big difference is that in online, you can only taunt twice before being restricted from taunting. You need to get a kill in order to keep taunting.

Honestly, my entire Smash 4 online experience nowadays is going on For Glory and not playing seriously.
It's incredibly fun.

Actually, speaking of which, why is it that the vast majority of internet porn is mostly of clean and kid oriented franchises anyway? You'd think it'd be franchises of a more so mature audience and sexual undertones, but nah, that's in the HUGE minority for some reason with certain exceptions.(With certain exceptions, but those exceptions are usually the worst ****ing thing ever and is capable of making someone's eyes expolode, like Family Guy/Simpsons porn.)

In fact, most of Samus's porn is more so Smash Bros related than Metroid.(And I think Smash is more so the reason why there is so much of her.)


Even ****ty things which are oriented towards a child audience like Bubsy have infinitely more porn than most characters I'd actually like to see porn of.

Apparently, the Prime games were not canon in Other M, so Samus would've fought him only twice in Metroid and Super Metroid before fighting him a third time in Other M.

If I had to retcon to justify her PTSD, it'd just be having a flashback of her horrible moment, regain her composure and then get ready to fight rather than letting herself become completely defenseless. I mean, having a PTSD attack doesn't always mean becoming completely defenseless or screaming chaos everytime. I could imagine that everytime she encounters Ridley, she has a flashback to her horrible moment, but gets herself into composure before Ridley gets a free hit off of her.
I mean, if I was to portray Samus in her later encounters with Ridley, it wouldn't be in the way of what everybody portrays her as "This is getting bothersome already. What are you going to pull this time, birdface?", but rather as, "I don't want to fight him again. The first time should've been the last. But he keeps coming back. Why does he keep coming back?......I have to keep trying. He has to die at some point. I must try again. One day I'll ensure it."
