Thoughts on the trailer:
-Customization has really improved, which is nice to see. I've never been one to play around with the options, but even then I did feel XY was limited in some aspects in that regard, so it taking notable steps forward is a plus.
-Not too much I really want to say on Pokémon-amie.
-The plain Rock typing is a bit disappointing (moreso for Midnight) as is the version exclusivity, but I like the models of the two Lycanroc forms, Midnight especially got an improvement from its artwork as that one animation where it does a 'come on!' type pose really shows a lot of its personality. Between the two, I still prefer Midday's form though as that design appeals to me more. Also, on the note of competitive viability, neither really strike me as good, though Midday is looking to be the slightly better one due to Accelrock (unless it's shared) and a better ability.
-Of the monkeys, I prefer Passimian. It looks like its partially inspired by American football as well (its French and German names allude to it, and the '10 members per team' is one off of the number per Football team) and its design appeals to me more. The ability it has is pretty situational though, I can't see too many practical applications for it. Oranguru is a pretty neat design as well, and its new move seems like it'll be very useful in Doubles.
-The new music for the Ultra Beasts sounds great, I hope we get to hear more of it soon.
-Eevee's Z move has a great animation through calling in all of its evolutions, though the effect kind of makes it seem lackluster by comparison. With that said, it could be useful in Baton Pass and NFE metagames.

Either Gamefreak forgot there's no animals in the Pokemon world or we're getting a Toucan mon.

Or it could just be regular *** Toucan design in a shirt.

Yeah I'll go with that last one.

According to the Riddler, we are getting a Toucan Pokémon, he says its design will be focused on its mouth.

Also, we can scratch off the Wu Yong hint as it turned out to be Oranguru.

A snowman and dolphin as mentioned. The riddler has more hints and an Alolan form list but we don't know what will show up, he also isn't giving us everything.

The riddler was quoted as saying Lunala's dex number is 805, he made a post stating people who said that were wrong upload an image where the file size equaled 820. So it's possible there's around 821 pokemon in the game. If not a few more then that for event legends and any other potential legends.

Which gives us around a 100 new pokemon. Which is 30 more then XY which isn't to bad.

Time to post my thoughts about this Sun and Moon news.

Both monkeys look pretty neat, though I'm digging Passimian more. I like its color scheme more, as well as the design. It looks like a mixture of a rugby and a football player. The berry as a helmet and a berry as a ball are really nice touch. It's ability looks really interesting too. While it won't do much in Singles, it's got a lot of neat strategies for Doubles. It's up there among my favorite Alola Pokemon at the moment, and I have a feeling I'll like the Pokemon even more when I play the games.

Oranguru looks cool too. Nice to see Girafarig won't be the only Normal/Psychic-type now. It looks like another Doubles-oriented Pokemon thanks to its new move Instruct, and the combination with Telepathy will be pretty good.

I'm surprised that both Lycanroc forms didn't gain a secondary-type. I think it's for the best though. Giving it another type will probably increase the number of weaknesses it has, so I guess leaving it at Rock is good for now. Sand Rush on Midday Lycanroc sounds pretty cool. I think it's guaranteed that Speed will be its defining stat at this point. Vital Spirit on the Midnight Form is good too, but I'm not sure which stat will it focus on more.

Loving the trainer customization updates. Huge improvement from X/Y. What really makes me excited is that your character can wear glasses now!

Pokemon Refresh looks like a highly improved Pokemon Amie. I like how you can cure status conditions by grooming your Pokemon now.

I can already tell Ash's Pikachu will gain access to that special Z-move some point in the anime. Eevee's Z-move is interesting in that it's the first one that doesn't attack the opponent. Those stat boosts look pretty nice. The eyes on each of the Eeveelutions during the attack looks rather off though, but I guess that's just me.

Like I mentioned, it took me forever to find the Seafloor Cavern... Only to find out that I have to use HMs to get through it. I did eventually get through it, though, and I fought Archie and all that other stuff I needed to do in the climax of Emerald.
I'm currently at Sootopolis City, but I'm going to grind at Sky Pillar before I fight Juan... Also, since I have a few TMs, I thought I should teach some of them to the rest of my team members.
Leafofold - Moveset currently consists of Leaf Blade, Slam, Quick Attack, and Pursuit. I'll later get rid of Quick Attack for Dragon Claw since I know where to find the TM for it.
Chip - Currently knows Fly, Wing Attack, Quick Attack, and Aerial Ace. Will delete either Aerial Ace or Wing Attack for Steel Wing... I know Aerial Ace never misses, but I like that Wing attack has 35 base PP so I'm not sure which one I should delete.
Rox - Knows Iron Tail, Rock Tomb, Dig, and Headbutt. Will likely remove Headbutt for Brick Break and maybe Dig for Earthquake. I know Rock Tomb isn't the best move but it's the only STAB Rock type move he currently has access to (Rock Slide is a Move tutor move in the battle frontier, which I don't have access to atm)
Flash - Knows Thunderbolt, Bite, Thunder Wave and Quick Attack... I'm honestly fine with his moveset, and it's not like I have a better choice, since Manectric doesn't exactly have the best movepool.
Volcan - Flamethrower, Rock Slide, Earthquake, Take Down. I'll remove Take Down for either Eruption (Although I don't know if it will be very good on him because he's pretty slow and might get attacked before he activates it so that it will be less powerful... It will be perfect for Sidney's Cacturne, though) or Double Edge for neutral coverage.
Atlantis - Knows Surf, Water Pulse, Dive, and Ice Beam. I'll remove Water Pulse for Waterfall later, because HMs are required and all that stuff. Yeah 3 STAB Water type moves is a bit too much but it's not like Wailord has an amazing movepool to begin with.
