Oranguru sometimes act on their own initiative and will use items that only humans normally use. From a Trainer’s perspective, they can be hard Pokémon to handle at times. Allegedly, there have been sightings of Oranguru using Poké Balls!

Time for some thoughts:
Rugby Monkey(forgot its name): really like the design and animations, ability is situational but if it can get Wonder Guard...
Oranguru: don't like it as much as the other monkey but its signature move has some potential. Both have the gimmick of being good for doubles and I'm gonna bet they'll be Totem Pokemon, I can already see a bunch of Oraguru's spamming Instruct on the leader after using some **** like Hyper Beam
Rockruff's evos: well, we finally got confirmation on it. Day form looks better with the 3D model but I still prefer the Night one. Rock!Quick Attack is neat but have you ever heard of this cool new move called Down-B?
Eevee Z-Move: it's literally a shonen anime super move and while people are already saying it's ****, you have to realize it's a 2+ stage boost to every stat. Also, Eevee on its trainer's head is 2qt
Customization: YOOO CLOTHES IMMA SPEND ALL MY MONEY ON THIS **** HOLY **** MORE HAIR OPTIONS MORE SKIRTS AND THAT'S LITERALLY KIRA'S HAIR WHAT THE HELL AND DID I MENTION MORE SKIRTS?

I feel like I want both versions equally and it sucks. I'm still probably getting Moon since my friend is getting Sun, so she can trade me whatever I need and vice versa, but still.

Well, time to give my thoughts on today's news:

- Passimian and Oranguru: Both of these Pokemon have competitive potential and have interesting designs, I must say. Passimian being able to take the ability of an ally as they go down will prove useful if it can pick up abilities like Wonder Guard or as was demonstrated in the video, Levitate. As for Oranguru, the Instruct move looks awesome and will be useful in double and triple battles for sure. I might even have a new member of my team now due to planning on getting Pokemon Moon.

-Rockruff's Day and Night Forms: Well... I'm a bit disappointed at both of them being pure Rock type and being version exclusive, thus meaning I am stuck with the Werewolf form unless I do some trading. Also, Counter is not a unique attack, writers! Stop thinking that! As for Accelerock on the Day Form, R.I.P. Talonflame for sure.

-FashionMon in Sun and Moon: My god, the Male characters actually have more options now, which pleases me greatly. Also, I hear that you can possibly dye any clothing option in the game, which (if in the events that were true), is awesome. The only thing I want to know is how to acquire Festival Coins; I am hoping it's a simple task.

-Pokemon Refresh seems to be the possible successor to Pokemon amie from the previous games. I think being able to cure status effects in there is a nice touch, and that'll possibly make Paralyze Heals, Antidotes, etc. useless or only highly situational. A minor note, but we can now blowdry an orangutan based Pokemon. That's amazing.

-Pikachu and Eevee getting their own Z-moves is meh, but I love how you fling Pikachu into the air like that one moment in Pikachu's Goodbye in the anime. It's hilarious!

-As for Eevee's Z-move, it's adorable how it will sit on your head during the animation and then get blessed by its Eeveelutions with stat boosts in every category. The only important thing to note is that this deconfirms an Eeveelution for this generation. I guess I should also mention this, but Eevee might now serve as a Baton Passer when it uses that Z-move, but that's it.

 

[Opossum]

I really like Oranguru, to the point it's now competing with Crabrawler/Type: Null/Hypothetical-Normal-Ghost-Opossum-I've-Wanted-Since-Gen-IV for my sixth team slot.

Man. I'm definitely getting Moon, but I like Lycanroc's Midday form SO MUCH more, and seeing it in motion didn't win me over on Midnight form. Ah well.

Yeah the first season of the anime kinda implies animals and Pokemon are separate beings.

The games don't really do that outside of the awkward dex entries (which mostly stopped after Gen 3).

It's hard to tell most ways since he's so stylized, but Tembo's an African elephant. Indian elephants only have one fleshy bit at the end of the trunk, Tembo's has two, like an African elephant.

So let's talk about how Lycanroc's forms are decided based on the respective Legendaries' influence on the region between both versions (which is the explanation for the version exclusive forms according to the Pokemon website)

I wonder how much more of the game will be decided based on the presence of the Legendaries...
such as the starters' final forms being different between versions
I also wonder if this also explains the different Ultra Beasts as well...
