I'm seeing a grey eared rabbit with pink in the middle. What exactly should I be seeing? Am I missing something. That mega animation could very well be real. If it isn't, then perhaps it's for synchro if that truly exists. And re watxhing it, those statues look like ducklett, it's hard to tell though.

Maybe they're talking about the immediate aftermath of RGBY? We don't know how long it took for Green to become Viridian Gym Leader.

Or even after GSC when he's shown to be in the Champions tournament in BW2.

Y'know going back to the Amiibo discussion yesterday I had a thought about why Cloud's (not Corrin or Bayonetta) amiibo is taking this long.

Maybe it's Square Enix's doing? We heard how hard it was to get Cloud in to Smash Bros from Sakurai himself and this is further evident with the extremely small number of tracks in the Midgar stage. Maybe the legal process of getting Cloud's amiibo on sale is taking long because Square Enix wants something out of Nintendo.

For what it's worth, the anime has been much better written than in the past. I think most of Ash's mons will get left behind, but there'll be some reason for it happening. I bet his Greninja in particular will have a reason to want to stay behind...and then he'll show up again late in the Alola arc when things start going down.

Whenever the writers can't be bothered to think of any creative way to advance Ash's character they always have an easy way out.

They've been keeping that bad boy on hold since Unova.

Indeed. I think the writers only decided to keep Aipom on his team because she got an evolution on Gen 4.

These people were discussing, I think it was Orwell's "A brave new world" where they were artificially stunting the development of fetus' to create a lower class system.

Well, I was thinking. Isn't the fact that the food the general populous eats full of chemicals and other unnutritious crap also perpetuating a stunted class system? Only the wealthy can afford more nutritious foods. Even the vegetables we eat are filled with toxins and the only way to buy the better "Organic" variants is spending more money

Won't be to surprised if we see a million articles saying that headphones don't have to be your audience anymore in the coming days.

Well, the headphone jack is a much older technology and it still works well enough that nobody is really asking for a replacement. It has been largely the same since the 1960s.

(And also that Flash is proprietary, while the headphone jack's technology is not.)

The problem is that there isn't an alternative that is cheap and effective enough to replace the headphone jack on a large scale yet. Development is underway of course, and we'll likely something in 10 years or so. But for now, Don't fix what ain't broken.

That whole reboot theory thing again. . .

I skimmed another video from the guy in the sidebar, and the situation became more clear.

His specific reason for the reboot is because he thinks Game Freak should do the ultimate nostalgia pandering, getting rid of the majority of Pokemon outside of Generations 1-2 and redesigning every Pokemon past Gen 1 included to look like those from Gen 1. In an MMO. With a "darker storyline."

And he flat out said they would be idiots to not do this.

It's ruffling to me because what he's arguing is a hard reboot and most of the Pokemon I like are from later generations.

If you read the post you quoted for example you can see it's a hard reboot he's describing rather than a soft reboot.

If it was a soft reboot I might be mildly skeptical but I wouldn't be bristling up like a rabid animal. Heck, TV Tropes classifies Gen 3 and Gen 6 as reboots, and the alternate universe theory essentially implies a soft reboot with each and every game. That's fine.

What the theory guy wants is a complete scrubbing of the entire series, with the point of that post being that his desire is specifically his vision of such. That's what's got me worked up.

That and while it may just be the YouTube comments I read jinxing it, his presentation has a dramatic flair that serves to exaggerate the perception one has of whatever he's saying. For someone with a positive view it might come off entertaining, but if one feels a bit uncomfortable with the idea of all of their favorite Pokemon being purged. . .
