Yes, 1 in 512. Also as of XY, odds are 1 in 4,200 roughly. with that being cut in half for shiny charm owners. So they've gotten much better over time.

In X and Y I actually ran into a few shinies...

A Shiny Doduo, shiny Dwebble, and a Mightyena in Friend Safari while I was building a competitive Sableye...as well as the shiny Froakie using the Masuda method...

In ORAS I only managed to find a shiny Zorua which I was intentionally looking for using DexNav...

I also received a bunch of random shinies over wondertrade which includes a frikkin Shiny Lugia!
I tried hunting for shiny Axew using DexNav but in caves its so much harder to keep a chain because every fifth encounter they harder to approach since they move around so much...(I only realize now Horde encounters would've been so much more efficient)

And I already foiled Team Flare's plot to destroy the world...I can't help but notice how rushed the story here felt...it's as if after beating Olympia the dev team went 'Oh ****! We almost forgot about Team Flare, let's squeeze it in real quick!' I mean you fight Lysandre three times in the game and all three occur within a half hour to 45 minutes of eachother...unlike in other games where you will sporatically defeat the bosses and then encounter them later with a more powerful team...here it doesn't quite give the same impression...

I just beat Bravely Second

This game. This ****ing game is so good. Almost everything about this game is absolutely spectacular. So many things done so well, and even the most basic of things executed beautifully. The amount of options given to the player is so great, from class customization to playstyles to even trivializing grinding. The bosses are all so much fun that I love them and I love this game ****. But now it's over. And I hate that it's over. I really want to go play other games. But I don't want to leave the realm of Luxendarc behind. It's just so wondrous.

The music isn't as good as Default's but is still spectacular.

The gameplay is better than Default's which was already good

The story is great

The pacing is great

All of the tools given to the player so to make the game more streamlined are simply stupendous.

The characters are so easy to fall in love with.

It's bottled fun.


And it isn't short either. There is so much fun to be had that I assumed I was at the ending at least 3 tiems but was wrong (and glad to be)

Quite frankly, the only negative I can give the game is the sidequest system isn't that great (and occasionally not interesting)

Fighting with Ringabel creating a special attack chain is extremely satisfying. Just Ringabel alone made me happy. but fighting WITH him? Utterly glorious.

And the final boss was good. Not great, but good. The climbing to it was a bit better. But damn was the 4th wal breaking spectacular. "I know you love this world and its people"
You damn well know it game.

Also sequel hook woohoo I can return to Luxendarc one day!

God it was just so good.

Top 3 game of all time, dethroning Wonderful 101 for me. An extremely enjoyable experience the whole way through.

Goodbye Luxendarc. I will miss you.

On the subject of games we're playing i'm in the process of doing a run of Megaman Legends. Played the 64 version when I was a kid but never ventured really far in the game. The game is great despite me not being much of a Megaman fan.

Back in Gen 4, they had all these Dragon Tamers, but they didn't have very many Dragon Types they were taming.

In the generations since then, they've been adding a BUNCH of new Dragon Types, but we haven't seen Dragon Tamers since then.

Now we're hitting Gen 7 and we're getting the biggest pile of Dragon Types I've seen yet.

Now granted, we haven't seen most of the Trainer types yet and if Gen 7 is taking cues from Sinnoh then we could easily see them back. But at this point it seems like it would almost be a waste to not have them back.

Heck, they should offer Dragon Tamer themed trainer outfits for you to dress up in. Or even better, all of the NPC class outfits on top of the normal individual clothes you can buy. Let us theme ourselves after NPCs the way we used to appear to people we communicated with in Gens 4-5, only with our own custom hair, skin, and eyes.

*EDIT* Wait, did we have Dragon Tamers in ORAS? Darnit, I forgot. But they can't exactly increase the Dragon pool in a remake, and other than one pair of version exclusive Gym Leaders with one graduating to Champion there was a bit of a significant gap.

Final Boss theme has every character theme just like Serpent eating the ground. Still not as good IMO bt damn it's good to hear.
