Didn't Uprising basically have a backdrop of mass killing and war? Can't he just make his own goddamn mind? I'm honestly confused now
Too bad all of that kinda gets thrown out of the window when someone knocks on their door and ****s everything up
I never said that
Aka the 20th Centhury
It's not a reboot, but to things to remain the same
Actually, an Earth reboot wouldn't be so bad
Maybe this time with less war and killing in general
I'd put Sakurai in charge of it, he did a pretty good job with Uprising after all
That's actually incorrect.ially when it threatened the work of many scientists such as Galileo.
Which was made possible due to the conservatism of others. Also the reinnisaunce was a cultral movement, not a conservative one. It built upon culture, it did not try to conserve culture. The church did nothing, it was the exact opposite. In the middle ages your life was all about, well, the after life. In the Reinaissance brilliant people looked back upon greek philosiphy to find their own form of humanism. To actually enjoy life, while you're living.
You're wrong. The church did nothing, it was the exact opposite.
Every source I can possibly fine contradicts this. It is stated that he was put on trial for heliocentrism. It was because he caused conflict with the church, so the roman inquisition charged him for it. The charge was "suspected heresy" but the real reason behind corruption was that he opposed the church. That's actually incorrect.
The church wasn't the reason Galileo wasn't screwed over. They had known about the heliocentric theories for quite some time and sometimes funded them.
It was actually politics behind the scene tied to the government.
The church just agreed to "take the blame" so to speak. The church was corrupt, but not in that particular way.
The culture of others, not conservatism, culture. Which the cultures you talked about actually advanced themselves, they didn't hold down the entirity of themselves to certain beliefs and morals to an extreme.Which was made possible due to the conservatism of others.
I never said the Renaissance was inherently conservative. I said it was made possible because of the conservatism before it.
They ensured it, yes, however they weren't the minds behind it. They weren't the cause of it.The people ensuring literature and such survived were monks, nuns and bishops. They were the ones who had libraries, transcribed things and the time to do such things.
Because these are topics that I find casual and am comfortable with, and they also help pass the time. I deal with toxic people every day, to me, this is just a casual conversation with a casual person.Regardless as I said before. No one is budging....
That was just a joke...Didn't Uprising basically have a backdrop of mass killing and war?
The planet was stated to be in shambles at Chapter 2 already, then there was the Reapers being constantly busy, and that was BEFORE the war over the wish started, the crazy environmentalist, the aliens ripping apart the planet, your own side getting possessed and going on a killing spree. . .a huge chunk of the enemies in the game are made from SEVERAL dead people. At one point you see MASSIVE swarms of them in the background.
And Uprising wasn't even entirely a reboot as it is set after the first game and references it quite a bit.
Sakurai makes a great game, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to use it as an example of how he could fix society LOL.
The church WAS the government thoughThat's actually incorrect.
They were just paid to transcribe them, they weren't the "masterminds" behind everythingYou're wrong.
The people ensuring literature and such survived were monks, nuns and bishops. They were the ones who had libraries, transcribed things and the time to do such things.
I don't understand why politics always disgust people so much to the point of being so uncomfortable. If anythng the only people that annoy me while discussing politics with other people is people on the side line getting so uncomfortable for whatever reason. Otherwise I don't see the problem with discussing it.I like the fact that this is a video game forum and yet politics are being discussed. Fu**ing stupid as always.
The former along with some Wii U owners being jealous, from the little bit I've seen so far.So people are still upset about no NX news or they are just tired of the 3DS at this point?
Going to say lack of NX news.So people are still upset about no NX news or they are just tired of the 3DS at this point?
That series is really good, here's the link to one about the Crusades during the Middle Ages cause it's kinda relevant now.Dear Nintendoninjasemployees who may be reading this for background information on our friendly neighborhood Sephazon. I was joking.
You kjow everyone here eeps talking about history. . .so you guys must like history right? So how about a series about history then!
Anyone. Anyone?
Going to say lack of NX news.
3DS Direct gets announced before anything NX related and, well... people don't like that.
Seems fair. We have been waiting a while and there is only six to seven months of advertising until the new console's launch. If they are doing this to avoid competition with Sony's PS4 Neo, then I couldn't blame them for playing things safe. The former along with some Wii U owners being jealous, from the little bit I've seen so far.
I think a lot of people are going to be disturbed by Big Mom giving them sexy looks from your avatar.Knew I should have changed to Commander Peppers as my avatar.
Then I would have an excuse to say "Nothing ever changes."
Oh great, now the Nintendo Ninjas are going to swarm the place and take away our nice things and fun!Job interview.
Come on, it's one of the few fanart that doesn't show her as this big scary witch that wants to eat your soul. Like her first official appearance.I think a lot of people are going to be disturbed by Big Mom giving them sexy looks from your avatar.
Also, that new title. That ****ing new title.
Every source I can possibly fine contradicts this. It is stated that he was put on trial for heliocentrism. It was because he caused conflict with the church, so the roman inquisition charged him for it. The charge was "suspected heresy" but the real reason behind corruption was that he opposed the church.
Looking through my notes from college, books and the internet again. The church WAS the government though
Amd I don't know where you got that from, because every history book I've ever seen has always stated that it was the church that condemned Galileo
I'm actually confused as to what you're referring to here. Which culture? The Renaissance? The Middle Ages? The culture of others, not conservatism, culture. Which the cultures you talked about actually advanced themselves, they didn't hold down the entirity of themselves to certain beliefs and morals to an extreme.
They ensured it, yes, however they weren't the minds behind it. They weren't the cause of it.
Not exactly. They were just paid to transcribe them, they weren't the "masterminds" behind everything
Cool.Because these are topics that I find casual and am comfortable with, and they also help pass the time. I deal with toxic people every day, to me, this is just a casual conversation with a casual person.
True. But that still doesn't change some of the more crazier acts she did.Come on, it's one of the few fanart that doesn't show her as this big scary witch that wants to eat your soul. Like her first official appearance.
Now that is pure nightmare fuel. But going into further detail would be heavy spoilers for the non-One Piece watchers.
Besides that, I couldn't resist making the new title. The name "Homies" pretty much write itself for plenty of jokes.
This.i hope that they will finally announce the final smash bros amiibos release date. let me finish my collection nintendo!
Hmmm, that is a detail that can coincide with what I just said, I'll look into more when I have the time.Looking through my notes from college, books and the internet again.
I was wrong.
But apparently the biggest reason Galilieo was jailed was actually because he couldn't prove heliocentrism 100% as he couldn't answer the biggest question against heliocentrism.
At the same time, this presents a problem. Heliocentricism was actually an old idea, one the church had little problem with before. Perhaps that's where my professor made the comment about the political things.
Ah, you mean western civilization in general. That makes more sense. I was thinking more of what makes western civiliazation, well, western civilization modernly. Though the enlightment era was an era much more important to our modern civilization than the renaissance was anyway. But I'll give that a read. Not exactly.
http://www.metanexus.net/essay/medieval-monasticism-preserver-western-civilization
I'd give this a read.
Greece. Though Greek cutlure did vary depending on region.I'm actually confused as to what you're referring to here. Which culture? The Renaissance? The Middle Ages?
Opposing views and confliction are actually pretty healthy. Because if you do the research that comes along with it you can learn quite a lot. Often reforming your own opinion. Though the people I decide to talk to every day are extremes of either side of the political binary spectrum, and while they never learn anything, I at least get to know a bit more. That's why I don't define myself under any specific political term or side, that makes other people judge me without knowing much about my views and also I feel like that limits my views.Cool.
"Only person in the world"I might be the only person in the world that doesn't have any Amiibo's and is not interested in them.
It'd be more of Rome and Slavic things I think...Greece. Though Greek cutlure did vary depending on region.
Indeed. People are way too extreme these days.Opposing views and confliction are actually pretty healthy. Because if you do the research that comes along with it you can learn quite a lot. Often reforming your own opinion. Though the people I decide to talk to every day are extremes of either side of the political binary spectrum, and while they never learn anything, I at least get to know a bit more.
That comment of yours is funnier than it should.This.
My shelf is still begging for Corrin, Bayonetta, and Cloud to be complete. And that's not getting into the other upcoming Amiibo either.
Such the life of a collector.
Brb going to write some fanfiction of them thanks to you. That comment of yours is funnier than it should.
Because Big Mom herself is a collector of souls just like your old pal Flowey.
Yeah, though I use region as a general term, but those two did have specific regions. With Greece I'm thinking of how different each major city was with its politics. Athens was very different from Sparta, as a common example. It'd be more of Rome and Slavic things I think...
Definitely, and no matter what side you're on there's always a *insert term for a specific group of people here*. As Coricus said awhile back.Indeed. People are way too extreme these days.
And they get self righteous about it.
I'd be more forgiving if it wasn't about zombies. In my opinion, Metal Gear Survive is basically if a Generic Unit from Fire Emblem got it's own game..........
In a very bad way.
I'm pretty sure that the facts that they were among the few that could write and read have something to do with this. You're wrong.
The people ensuring literature and such survived were monks, nuns and bishops. They were the ones who had libraries, transcribed things and the time to do such things.
That's how I feel sometimes about Amiibo though lol."Only person in the world"
Well except for the millions (billions?) of people who don' even know what an amiibo is
Yeah, that's very true. THat also goes for monks in various other cultures. Since literacy wasn't common they were one of the few in the population that knew how to write. What I was thinking along the lines of was that the thoughts they wrote weren't strictly conservitive, as they wrote a variety of ideas.I'm pretty sure that the facts that they were among the few that could write and read have something to do with this.
You KNOW where this is going next.I shamelessly stole this from twitter
Thanks Icebreaker!
There was a problem fetching the tweet
Pit said:Soooo. . .Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?
. . .Actually I can see this happening in this exact context in-universe right now too, come to think of it, LOL. Pit is a gamer.Viridi said:You know that saying that there are no bad questions?
Well there are, and this is one of them! WE ARE NOT THERE YET!
Brb going to write some fanfiction of them thanks to you.
