tbh I'm getting annoyed people keep comparing the Switch to other consoles available now. It's a ****ing launch, if you're gonna compare them to call it ****ty, compare them to their launches. And the Switch isn't even out yet, nor do we know about every game we're getting. Directs, E3, etc. Even then, we've got official confirmation on what? 59 games? Did the PS4 or Xbox1 have at least 59 confirmed games?
The PS4 had 140 games in development year one vs the Switch's 80. Besides, can you blame them? It's a launch that doesn't offer much if you're not a fan of Mario, Zelda, and Splatoon. And if you are a fan of them, only two of those games are exclusive experiences.

if you were going easy on the switch you would have compare it to the ps4's LAUNCH

other than you getting a 4K tv which was you just saying you got a 4k tv with no actual infor on it there wasnt anything else that
could be considered clutter

How ever a serviceable set up for the switch is all packed in with the switch because the only game that would need more than 2 joycons is bomberman as Arms does not require motion controls and you Dont NEED to go digital only
thats a prefrence not a nessesity
No, because the Switch is not competing with a launch PS4. Comparing it to that serves no actual purpose. It is competing with the PS4 and Xbox One now. Nintendo set themselves up this way, not me.

I actually detailed exactly what kind of 4K TV it was. I did give info. Please read the post.

Arms still requires at least a Pro controller to play two players, and let's be real, nobody is going to actually want to play the game without a pair of Joy-cons for their own use. The Joy-cons are the main selling point for that game (remember that tutorial screen that says "Punch to PUNCH!!"?). And I mentioned that you will need both in order to future proof yourself for games that will come down the line.

Going digital only is an extreme, but even if you don't, you will eventually hit a block. I bought mostly physical on Wii U but I still ended up filling up my 32 GB hard drive and have to delete certain stuff to make room for others. This is partly due to DLC, partly because Nintendo exclusives don't normally get major discounts at retail, only on the eShop. Either way, 32 GB is not a lot of memory and it will probably run out at some point if you actively use the system. Digital games also have more appeal on Switch because it's portable and you don't want to have to carry extra games with you all of the time.

Do you guys think we will have a Kirby 25th Anniversary new game?
Not a bunch of games in one like Dream Collection, a completely new one.

Or maybe that Kirby Concert thing will be the only way to celebrate it...

I just want a new HD Kirby main game.

Didn't she call Monolith making a nee game, which wasn't a port of XCX? The reason Opopo mentions that as strong evidence is Because nobody could predict something that specific. Personally, the reason I defend her is Because the Switch isn't the first thing she got right, she leaked stuff about the pa4 Slim
And Emily's the only one of the three that was correct about Splatoon being a sequel and not an expanded port. They've all gotten a few things right, and a billion things wrong. Laura's track record is every bit as sketchy as theirs.

Guessing that a Nintendo-owned developer would be making a Switch game really isn't impressive, it's to be expected. The fact that LKD also said that they'd be porting XCX (which she DID also say, not sure why you're acting like she didn't) sorta cancels it out, anyway.

Not to mention Soraya Saga tweeted about the stream- every time that happens, it means there's Monolith involvement. The "inside source" about that was a public Twitter (just like the "inside source" that told her that Zelda was actually a launch title and her other source was wrong was the same fliers everyone else saw).

Anyone denying that LKD has connections to the industry doesn't know what they're talking about.

Is she right all the time? No and frankly I'm very glad she was wrong on the things she was wrong about.

But she has clear connections.

Unlike Liam at this point.
I think it's fair to deny that she has any legit sources about Nintendo Switch games, since she was wrong about literally all the ones she implicated except the absolute vaguest ones ("A Monolith game"), claimed the leak from 4chan that ended up being real was fake, and even managed to be wrong about games that were shown off in the October reveal (Splatoon 2).

And I think it's also fair to deny that she has sources CURRENTLY, seeing as how she had a temper tantrum on Twitter and outed her sources. Anyone who tries leaking info to her at this point is essentially committing career suicide.

Not sure if the tweets are still up, but there's reactions to it on NeoGAF.

there got rid of the clutter and the lopsided comparison of a system at launch to a system thats been out for so many years they released a slim version of it alog side a junky version that is prone to dying on people...i mean the ps4 pro
If you were referring to that one image where it melted, that was a hoax.

Hmm now that I think about it, it doesn't really need to be a new game.

I would be more than fine with just Kirby 64 HD, haha.

Which many have already come out on other consoles, or are superior on them.
Like Skyrim, Minecraft, NBA2K, etc. yeah. And sadly not huge third party title to back it up.
They may be superior, but you can't play them on the go, or with different control configurations.

Why would I want different control configurations when most of them are the same or even gimped (in the case of a single joycon). Motion controls are different, but I don't think a lot of games will utilize them. Playing them on the go is cool, but not enough to say "I wanna play this inferior port for only 2.5-6 hours"

I think the Switch will be a really slow burn of a system but that library is gonna make it look great by the end of 2018 if they keep the pace.

All I know is that this thing is gonna sell like crazy in Japan mostly because home console gaming in Japan is half dead and the Switch has the portability advantage that they love

OK, I just thought of another question.

Which people here are actually locked into the Switch? I see plenty of people that aren't, but it'd be interesting to know who else actually managed to slip a preorder in.
Late response.

I did.

Got nothing else to add to the present conversation that like spam doesn't cover.

Hey, if you don't have a good team, you can lose some Pokemon pretty quickly at some boss.
Of course, if you pass your time grinding and grinding, and you have a team of Pokemon that is very varied. Of course, you can curbstomp some battle.
Still, this game is still better than:
"Oh look! We are in a volcan and you have Pokemon that have all Fire type that don't have other type to counter Water or Ground Pokemon! Man, how I supposed to defeat you? This game is way too hard."
I'm talking about that guy by the way.

Leader Gym like him in S/M have atleast a Pokemon that have one move that deal average damage. Him however? Just bring your one Water/Ground Pokemon and he is a joke.
Out of all Kanto Gym Leaders, he's the one that actually poses a threat:
Macargo is bulky enough to survive some physical 4x depending on the Pokemon and can counter with Overheat(which still deals considerable damage even to resists) or Sunny Day which makes any usage of Water Pokemon pointless.
Rock Pokemon usually don't have enough Sp.Def to survive a Sun!Overheat(they'll most likely end up being 2HKO) and they all carry White Herbs to make sure of it.
And you should never use anything that doesn't resist Fire because Overheat was enough to 2HKO my Poliwrath(who was THE tank in my team) during Sunny Day.
Rapidash is likely faster than any Water or Ground Pokemon you have and will just Bounce you to death or burn you down with some Overheats.
And man, is Magmar a *****, **** confusion

Meanwhile, almost every other Kanto Leader were either OHKOed or just slowly punched to death with no threat to my own Pokemon. Only exception was Janine but I didn't have a Psychic Pokemon

Unless you're talking about the Kanto games, in which case, I have no experience with

Yeah, the battery life sucks, but glad that it has USB type C port, I can take Switch on the go along with USB type - C cable, not charger but cable and with a power bank that supports USB type - C charge. Power bank exists for a reasons like that.
So I might buy this power bank that support USB Type C charge when I got my Nintendo Switch:

Power banks aren't that expensive now, this one is less than 25 dollars on its main website.

Don't forget a true mainline Kirby platformer in HD. It's a shame the Wii U never got one.
yeah but more importantly Air ride 2:088: It was the only kirby game my sister cares for and played with me

I'm sorry but this I can't abide. 50 base HP is too abysmal for 80 base SP.Def to tank it properly.
And with 30 Speed, it's nigh-impossible to not outspeed it.

Darkseid's apparently a pre-order bonus (and pay us extra if you don't pre-order) for Injustice 2, same as Goro was for MK X.

Which means he probably isn't involved in the story. Guessing it's Brainiac or Black Hand.

So I need even more accessories to get the best use out of my Switch? I already have to buy a separate micro-SD card if I want to download more then 3 games (BotW takes up 40% of the internal storage, maybe even more because Nintendo has to save the OS and other apps on it too).

Ill stick with english, I dont care for reading captions
Fair enough, I don't think reading takes anything away from the experience imo tho maybe I'm just used to that stuff. I played Samurai Warriors as the only game where they spoke Japanese and I had to read, so I don't think I'll have issues in Zelda even if it's a game so more input is required.

I hope (and there should) be an option to switch, no pun intended, between the 2 anytime you want, just incase.

Also, I am with you on this one, **** confusion, **** RNG move in general.
Surge is locked down by any Ground Pokemon since he has no Pokemon with Levitate or Magnet Rise, just spam Earthquake until it hits the Double Team!Raichu and you're done
Sabrina's only counter to Dark is Focus Miss but Pokemon like Honchkrow don't care much about it and Umbreon can tank it easily
Erika is defeated easily by either a Fire or Flying Pokemon as Grass Pokemon have only STAB and status moves.
Misty dies to anything Electric due to their general high speed with the exception of Quagsire but it isn't exactly the strongest Pokemon and a Grass Pokemon can solve the "problem"
Brock is what you thought Blaine is
Blue has a varied team but that just ensures you have a counter for each

Janine would probably have been a lot easier if I had a Psychic or Flying Pokemon at the time but I went in expecting Nidoking to Earthquake everything to death
>Macargo is a real threat!

I'm sorry but this I can't abide. 50 base HP is too abysmal for 80 base SP.Def to tank it properly.

Except, you know, having Surf doesn't mean you have it on an usable Pokemon
At the time I had my Lv26 Gyarados with Surf(I then switched to Snorlax for Rock Climb but it's not like she was doing any favors)
And considering how HGSS works, you either have an HM Slave for the HMs or you just put it on a Water Pokemon you use despite their terrible Sp.Atk stat.
I mean, between all the Water types in Johto and Kanto, it's more likely you'll have a high Atk Water Pokemkn over a special one due to the common Poliwag and Magikarp(Tentacruel is also a guaranteed catch going to Cianwood but everyone got a Magikarp my that point) and Magcargo can tank physical hits as I've seen by experience
Even if you DO have a good Surf user, the slow as **** Water Pokemon have to deal with Rapidash and Magmar so Sunny Day can be put up, Bounce can paralyze you and Thunderbolt can kill you

Janine would probably have been a lot easier if I had a Psychic or Flying Pokemon at the time but I went in expecting Nidoking to Earthquake everything to death

Even if you DO have a good Surf user, the slow as **** Water Pokemon have to deal with Rapidash and Magmar so Sunny Day can be put up, Bounce can paralyze you and Thunderbolt can kill you
So yeah, my point still work in either case: Gym Leader are a joke if you have just one and maybe two Pokemon to counter them.
In S&M, while there was some that were easy. I personally needed to switch more if I didn't wanted to get rekt.
Heck, even the Trainer later in the game make me force to use other Pokemon due to how one hit could remove a bunch of your healt. And I had a pretty good team overall.
I am not a pro-Pokemon guy, but still, this game kicked by ass when I wasn't paying attention. Contrary to X and Y where the game give you so much that you can do the entire game with one hand and a bandana on your eyes due to how it's easy.
