What is it?I had to read the replies because this was totally lost on me.
...Wow. Just...WOW. And I thought the art style of the Sun & Moon anime was off-putting at a glance. At least that gets better the more you see it, aside from Ash's face.So... Have you guys seen this new anime called Handshakers?
Like, it has to be seen to be believed.
It's the Ice Climbers saying "yeah".What is it?
I don't got gifs on me right now but I'll just say it looks far worse in motion....Wow. Just...WOW. And I thought the art style of the Sun & Moon anime was off-putting at a glance. At least that gets better the more you see it, aside from Ash's face.
What the what is going on here?
You must be a Sm4sh player. Filthy casual.I had to read the replies because this was totally lost on me.
Please show us.I don't got gifs on me right now but I'll just say it looks far worse in motion.
I found a place to watch it..... It is giving me serious Mighty No. 9 flashbacks. Urk.So... Have you guys seen this new anime called Handshakers?

Interesting.A lot of people have been reporting that 0.2 BBS causes crashes on the regular PS4. PS4 Pro users seem unaffected.
I hope this gets fixed for the English release, even if it doesn't effect me. This might also mark the start of games that really only function properly on the PS4 Pro.
DDD and X Back Cover seemed unaffected though.
EDIT: Seems it's mostly just the digital version doing this, players with a physical copy are saying it's fine.
How come?Ooh, I knew something like this was going to happen after this far into the movie and they already found the missing animals
I really don't like this kind of plot
I dunno, these kind of parts in movies make me feel ...embarrassed or something. I'm not sure what exactly the feeling isInteresting.
Perhaps the digital copy they have on the store is to blame?
How come?
That might be the case, but only a few people have been reporting on it so far so I'm taking the "digital copies only" reports with a grain of salt for now. Though for those wanting to pick it up when it releases internationally, I'd still recommend physical since it's the only insurance you've got unless you have a PS4 Pro.Interesting.

I'll go ahead and say a couple of thoughts about Zootopia that I have...I dunno, these kind of parts in movies make me feel ...embarrassed or something. I'm not sure what exactly the feeling is
But the effect it has on me is stopping the movie right here and having a hard time finishing it
Conspiracy theory: I kind of feel something is happening IRL like the plot with Bellwether. Y'know, except not with chemicals from plantsI'll go ahead and say a couple of thoughts about Zootopia that I have...
Positives:
Negatives:
- Pretty funny.
- Flash.
- The two main characters are likable, believable and entertaining.
- Flash
- Got a great message including several you don't often see anymore.
- Flash
- The mystery is a fun story, if not by the books at times.
- Flash
- Got dark at the right times I feel.
- Flash
- I like how they get the villain.
- Also Flash.
- The movie is based on modern times. That's not a bad thing, but I feel it will become dated very fast. It just doesn't seem to have a timeless quality to it like most of Disney's films which is a shame because with a lesson like this, it needs to be.
- Advocating for less discrimination is always a plus and the movie deals with it in ways you don't often see (like how everyone, even the discriminated against can be discriminatory and I think that's important to say). That said, how its presented feels... off. It feels real, but also too biting for the kind of story it wants to tell, if that makes sense. Like things go to **** in ways I can't even comprehend at a speed that seems ludicrous. Not to say that bad things don't happen to minorities after major events, but those things take time.
- This movie lacks subtlety big time. It is obviously meant to tie into today's political issues, but its done very bluntly. I feel the lack of subtlety may make the movie less beloved years down the line after we're past all this. Most people will agree with the message but it hits you over the head with it so much that it starts to become preachy, which is a shame really. Zootopia has an outstanding bunch of messages to tell. but it doesn't know how to tell them. At times it feels like its going down a political checklist at times. There are some odd language choices at times where they forgo normal dialouge to use some certain buzz words. Like check this scene out!
The scene is a nice scene but its use of "ignorant, irresponsible and small minded" bugs me. Who talks like that? The rest of the scene feels so genuine. It really does, but the first bit just forces something political and confrontational into a scene that should be very personal. Discrimination is ignorant and such, don't get me wrong, but would you ever use that kind of language for an apology? Cause I wouldn't. Apologies need simpler language. Less words, more feels. It's why the second part works well, because she just starts getting raw. I guess you could make the argument that Nick doesn't start listening until she starts to go raw, but I doubt that was the intention of the filmmakers.- What was the point of the Gazelle character? All she does is jump on a soapbox at one point. Take her out or expand her role.
- Villain got REALLY blunt at the end. To the point where I feel it harmed the villain's character.
Those are my thoughts at least.
What do you all think, am I talking out of my *** here?
Maybe it's because what happened back when Wii U was being announced and presented. We are hoping that it's not like that. A least Switch is a more understandable console compare to the Wii U.Less than a day away. Is it weird that I'm not starting to get keyed up like I did for previous Smash reveals?
Maybe it's the fact that we don't know what they're planning on showing us, if anything.
Or maybe it's because other stuff has me on edge instead...
Wow, they were working on as many as 10 different games simultaneously? Why did they spread themselves this thin? Over-ambition? Workaholic tendencies?Found this post on Reddit detailing the cancellation of Scalebound: https://www.reddit.com/r/xboxone/co...dium=front&utm_source=reddit&utm_name=xboxone
Upon further inspection, it checks out. https://www.engadget.com/2017/01/09/microsoft-cancels-scalebound/
Seems the cancellation has more to do with Platinum games doing a mediocre job rather than Microsoft screwing over Platinum. Not that it really matters either way for us consumers, but I just really hate how despite having no understanding of the situation everyone immediately jumped on the "**** Microsoft" bandwagon. Overheard Angry Joe's video on this and it irked me how his video was just that, meanwhile he's just finding out that it's open world and 4-player co-op. He clearly hasn't followed the game, but oh boy it's cancelled?! Better hop on that bandwagon!
How would you come upon a situation where you'd use those words on a daily basis?Swamp Sensei
Uh, yeah, sorry dude. You're alone on that language bit. I use those words on a daily basis, especially with apologies, and so do most of the people I interact with from state to state. Nothing about it felt unnatural or too articulate at all to me.
And I actually appreciate the bluntness of Zootopia since I don't really like subtlety, vagueness or ambiguity. Especially for the sake of either pretending to seem more meaningful, artistic, intelligent, or just to make others feel better about themselves. It doesn't right with me.
So yeah, can't really say I agree with you on your viewpoint of the movie. I can, however, understand why you'd feel that way and see things the way you do, so more power to you. Stand strongly and proudly by your viewpoints and outlooks, buddy.
As for Giselle, she was there for Shakira to have a speaking role to tie into her singing for the movie and I suppose fanservice...Which is also due to Shakira's influence since she asked for her hips to be made bigger since she thought they she was too skinny initially. So yeah, that's a thing.
Anywho, great movie. One of the few I actually like to rewatch and enjoy all over again every single time. <3
It's probably to represent a majority/ minority populated area like the USSpeaking of Zootopia, I didn't really find much fault in the film. Even if it ends up being a period piece, it will stay relevant for quite some time. I'm alright with the lack of subtlety, because it was supposed to send a political message after all, about the underlying racing tensions in a melting pot of diversity. Can't talk about that scene because English isn't my native language.
The only thing I don't quite get is the 10:1 prey:predator relation. That makes sense in a natural environment where predators are actually hunting prey, but it shouldn't hold up in a civilised society. The population sizes should normalise over time, unless they're artificially trying to maintain that ratio for whatever reason.
Odd.Swamp Sensei

I like bluntness too most of the time, if I'm being honest, but I just feel that the story wasn't seen as important as the message and the film suffered for it.And I actually appreciate the bluntness of Zootopia since I don't really like subtlety, vagueness or ambiguity. Especially for the sake of either pretending to seem more meaningful, artistic, intelligent, or just to make others feel better about themselves. It doesn't right with me.
Well hey, thanks. I thought I was potentially walking into a den of wolves here as Zootopia is beloved (for many good reasons). So yeah, can't really say I agree with you on your viewpoint of the movie. I can, however, understand why you'd feel that way and see things the way you do, so more power to you. Stand strongly and proudly by your viewpoints and outlooks, buddy.

You got good taste man. I could gush about Moana all day.Only thing I didn't like about Zootopia is that it tried too hard to be self-aware at certain points. Other than that, A+ in my books. Would watch again/come to own, 10/10, etc.
Moana, however, really scratched that classic Disney itch for me. I absolutely loved that movie, ranks up there as one of my favorites of all time. Great dialogue, great music, great characters (Maui stole the ****ing show for me). About the only thing I could say against Moana was that the story was really, really, REALLY formulaic. Like, super safe and super "yeah I've seen this ish before" kinda stuff. But I'm largely okay with that, seeing as how the execution in every other respect (for CG/digital art it was ****ing beautiful on top of everything else) was top notch.
Smooth Criminal
As Psycho said, that's really close to a real life minority percentage in a big US city. The only thing I don't quite get is the 10:1 preyredator relation. That makes sense in a natural environment where predators are actually hunting prey, but it shouldn't hold up in a civilised society. The population sizes should normalise over time, unless they're artificially trying to maintain that ratio for whatever reason.
I am not having that problem.Less than one day left to the Switch Direct, and for some reason I'm really struggling to get hyped for it...
The event starts at 1 PM, Japan time which is when I should be working.PushDustIn Are you and the SG team having a discussion stream after the presentation?
I remember before the season startedSo... Have you guys seen this new anime called Handshakers?
