I honestly think it will.

A lot of now beloved Dreamcast games weren't appreciated back then either.

But we'll have to wait and see.

A lot of Dreamcast games are generally completely unique and of an IP that didn't continue past that point, though.

The Dreamcast is also quite historical and ahead of it's time, so tech heads love it. It was the first home console to have online support, and Sonic Adventure was the first home console game to ever have DLC. Speaking of Sonic Adventure, most people consider the Dreamcast version the best version because of it having less bugs and much better lighting than the DX port.

Nearly everything worth playing on the Wii U is either going to get numerous sequels in the future, or it's getting a port on Switch or 3DS (and said ports are usually superior to the original). Everything else (games like Star Fox: Zero, Paper Mario: Colour Splash, and Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash) is notably flawed and wasn't even bought by Wii U owners.

As for the system itself, it didn't really do anything revolutionary. Even the GamePad's core concept has been done before, just not packed in with a console.

The Dreamcast was also THE last SEGA console...that alone just gives it a certain weight, a certain sense of mystery to it. As we well know now though, the Wii U is not the last Nintendo console.

Lucina and Dark Pit are not worse versions of the originals. With Lucina there's the tipper argument, but that has been pretty much torn down.
With DP, it's just arrows and side b launch angles.
They're not worse.

But yes, I would easily accept it if sakurai gave those two different movesets, I'd still gladly play them. Just as long as they're not an alt skin or taken out of the next game.

I may have been the only Villager supporter since brawl.

That was because of the "Sakurai said Villager couldn't get in because he wasn't a fighter" thing due to a Brawl interview. It drove most potential supporters off, although a fair few people still asked for "Animal Crosser," so you weren't the only one.

People say Sakurai pulling the rug out from under their fan rules started with the DLC. Not really. It basically started from the moment Smash 4 newcomer reveals were a thing.

If she was a little more rushdown oriented (faster speed, faster fall speed, less lag on certain moves) the no tipper could work.

But as of now, she plays like Marth without Marth's greatest strength. The thing his moveset is based around.

Believe me. I tried to find a niche for her.

With DP, it's just arrows and side b launch angles.

And F Tilt and jab finisher.

F Tilt does less knockback for some reason.

Jab finisher is blatantly worse (it has less range for some reason).

Electroshock has a more horizontal angle but that means he kills later outside of a few situational moments.

Arrows are okay honestly.


There is a reason why their boards are merged and Marth and Pit are the only ones who get competitive play.

This fortune was obviously referencing the fact that the system wasn't a commercial success.

With the DS remake of his game being the one FF I've played. . .I mean he'd be alright but he doesn't do much to stand out. Dark Knight can sap his own health for a strength boost, Paladin has a small pool of White Magic that looks utterly pathetic when you look at Rosa's, I would assume the latter would be the added one and I can't see vanilla healing spells being properly implemented into Smash so that narrows it even further.

Granted I haven't touched that Dissidia stuff you guys have been messing with, so there's probably something extra there.

Or maybe you just want to see a man with long flowing hair and blue lipstick get into Smash or something.
