I just spent the last 2 hours trying to find out how to download the dump of the latest patch data for Smash Wii U in Uwizard.

Took me a while to figure out how to even get access to the update, but after that, I was getting errors when downloading and decrypting it. It was skipping files and they would come up as 0 byte files after the decryption (which is basically a blank file).

Finally got it to work though and it's downloading and decrypting everything properly now. Guess what the problem was?

MY HARD DRIVE WAS FULL.

I only copped it because I tried adding Smash Wii U's latest update to the title list, and it said "there is not enough disk space for this action". So I checked my hard drive at that point and yeah it was full.

I'm terrible at finding stuff to delete, but I apparently had the Sims 2: Ultimate Collection from an EA Origin deal where it was free. I had installed and it was over 12GB so I just deleted that.

So my problem wasn't my understanding of what I was doing, just my own poor hard drive management.

It may be making an appearance at the UK EGX event in September.

This comes from the fact that people who purchased tickets received a survey, and one of the questions is "which game consoles would you like to see at the event?", and NX is one of the options. Implying they are at least considering getting it there, if it isn't something they've already locked in and they are just asking to gauge interest anyway.

I would just like to weigh in one the above subject about speculation and anger and whatnot.

At this point I think King K. Rool and Ridley are equals. Even though the former's fanbase is a step down from Ridley's there is just a staggering level of similarity over how speculation transpired for them as DLC and main game possibilities respectively. High hopes at the beginning followed by a massive, negative pants soiling reveal(Pyrosphere/Mii costume), followed by the character not getting in and general anger from the fans, some more extreme than others.

I mean, sure, the last part also applies to fanbases such as Wolf(bleh), but I've always found the parallels between croc and space dragon to be so amazingly similar to one another ever since speculation ended last December.

Just a thought of mine.

I noticed these two being similar all the way back during speculation. I think the point where it became undeniably obvious was after Mega Man was announced. That seemed to create a power vacuum that K. Rool and Ridley pretty quickly took over, leaving those two as the fandom's most wanted newcomers. Then a problem occurred: the Fan Dumb members that rallied behind those two characters started becoming noticeably rude to anyone who supported a character other than those two or Mewtwo, I.E. their "Unholy Trinity." Obviously there were plenty of very nice people out there who wanted Ridley and K. Rool too, but due to the way all the sane people tend to stay quiet on the internet, how obvious it was depended on what circumstances the character was in.

The *ahem* big difference between the two that I noticed is that while there was a lot of Ridley Fan Dumb, there was an even more disturbing Ridley Hate Dumb that constantly bashed the nicer Ridley fans that one would have not even noticed were it not for the ruckus. Picking up on that situation made me much more sympathetic to the big cause, as no fandom deserves having an entire group of people bash them constantly.

K. Rool. . .K. Rool is what would happen without that kind of horrid opposition. The only problem K. Rool had initially was that Dixie Kong fans wanted her instead. After the power vacuum cropped up, Dixie Kong supporters became quiet. Very, very quiet. From that point onward, there was basically nothing but a massively rude vocal minority with any and all sane people staying largely silent. Basically, the view I got of K. Rool supporters was so one sided that even to this day with every support base that didn't get who they wanted now acting equally rude to the characters that did make it into the game and the support base not really being much better or worse than anyone anymore, I still find it kind of hard to feel sorry for K. Rool fans.

So, um. . .there's my thought, I guess.

Picking up on that situation made me much more sympathetic to the big cause, as no fandom deserves having an entire group of people bash them constantly.

Really, in all these years as a Ridley fan, I never payed mind to the detractors, toobigots or whatever they are called, I mostly minded my own business drawing Ridley. Of course, there were times the threads involving him turned into a civil war, but I just stayed away when that happened. Funnily enough, the time where I utterly hated "supporting" Ridley or being in his threads didn't had to do with them, that was until a friend got me back on track with him.
