Phones are much, much more public than your 3DS, and as a result, the stakes and demands on this IP have been raised. Miis must be able to stand their own ground and serve as the face of Nintendo's future beyond their own consoles.

Furthermore, their roles as player avatars have increased in scope tenfold. No longer a mere token to collect for your 3DS Street Pass, Nintendo intends worldwide expansion into theme parks, movies, PC - everything. Your Mii is no longer just a face you plaster onto your Nintendo console - it is a digital representation of yourself in the world Nintendo strives to create and surround you with.

Now, with that in mind, think about your relationship with Miis at present. When you look at your collection of Miis in your Wii or Wii U or your 3DS Street Passes, how long do you spend looking at each one? Is it even a second? Maybe if the face is actually a creative use of the features arranged to resemble a pop culture character, but that's not really the point of Miis, is it? No, what you see is a sea of faces wearing bland, monotone shirts and sweat pants. This isn't an engaging image, and it's certainly not suitable for the task set before them. It won't meet the raised standards set by their new goals.

So, now you have to answer the question, "What will engage our audience and convince them that Miis are really our best foot forward into this new world?"

To that end, I believe Tomodachi Life served as a litmus test. Through its release, Nintendo asked the question, "Are Miis capable of finding their own success, provided we give them more features to work with?" and through sales figures, we've answered "Yes, we like this direction." Costume choices, unique interactions, building a virtual community with your Miis, each having more character than "Red shirt brown pants Goomba face" - that's the direction we've told Nintendo we want them to go.

After all, when striking new ground, you wouldn't send forth your colonists without first doing some reconnaissance.

So, I was just browsing the official website for the Owari no Seraph anime and found myself surprised to find it is actually a bilingual site, in both Japanese and English! Quite unusual as most official anime websites are in Japanese only (naturally).

It even has info on where it's streamed for international audiences! I'm really glad to see anime producers starting to aim for their non-Japanese fans.

In regards to the Zamii controversy, it's quite saddening what has happened. The so-called SJWs are getting way ahead of themselves. Humanity can indeed be disgusting.

I hate Tumblr when it has it's head so far up its own ass that it doesn't even accept it's wrong for their approach to something even when people closer to the situation tell them otherwise. It's kinda funny how more and more powerful handheld systems are getting. Back in the DS/GBA days Smash on a portable console would be considered impossible; Let alone something like Xenoblade. Hell, we're getting HD games on freaking phones of all things.

It just goes to show how much technology has improved over the years.

I remember my mind being blown when I first heard about Mario 64 DS. A handheld 3D Mario that has more content than its 64 counterpart? Count me in.

They started complaining about when the creator told them to stop (even going as far as to saying they won't watch the show). They feel like its terrible that people can draw characters how they want (and this started with a character getting a lighter skin tone in fan art done by someone).

I don't even like Steven Universe, but that girl shouldn't be harassed over stuff like that. It's even more terrible that some also think shes faking the attempted suicide. I wish these people would just get off the internet and forget interacting with any reasonable human until they get help.

While true it's a fanbase problem? All the things they accused her of are tumblr modus operandi. So I have my suspicion that if her art had been anywhere else she would have just been praised for her cool talent and not because a plus sized character is skinny or a character changed race.

I feel there are many in and out of the fandom that need reminded that Steven Universe didn't cause the problem; some ignorant trolls did. It saddens me that perception of the show has taken a brutal beating when it isn't really the show's fault, that we think the solution to dealing with the negativity is to remove the positivity that attracted it.

And why are they blaming her? Because she's white
We're at a point where the solution is to flip around the situation instead of trying to stop it because it's easier to have a bad guy on who you can blame all the world's problem
How to stop racism? Blame white people!
How to stop sexism? Blame all men!
How to stop homophobia? Blame straight people!
And so on and so on


While there are people trying to actually solve these problems, either the majority or a very vocal minority aren't actually trying to accomplish "equality"
And they end up tarnishing the name of what was supposed to be a good cause

Hell, it took Kid Icarus over ten years before getting a new game. And to be fair (while I know people despise this game bear with me here) Federation Force is proof that the franchise is still kicking. It's only a matter of time before Metroid Prime 4 or whatever they're doing with it comes out.

This kinda reminds me of when the GameBoy version of Tetris was taken off the 3DS VC eShop due to the new remastered Tetris game Ubisoft was making. I'm just glad I downloaded it before it left.

Well they aren't removing Sonic 3 or S&K so obviously that means they are gonna port the Taxman versions to consoles I want to believe

In all seriousness this is probably due to copyright issues, SEGA doesn't have the rights to most of the music in Sonic 1 (and 2 has some of 1's tracks I believe).
