The new account system sounds good and I guess mobile will be the market for more casual games. Does this mean that Nintendo consoles will be targeting the so-called "hardcore gamers"?

And of course, there's the usual Nintendoom commentary spread over the Internet. Some things indeed don't change.

Seems that Smash DLC has been the best-selling add-on content... Which isn't surprising either.

New Direct soon? I guess Bravely Second, TP HD, FE Fates, and a hypothetical Wolf trailer for Smash, plus new Star Fox Zero info. I wonder if some of those unannounced games could be a new Advance Wars game based off the fact IS confirmed they will be announcing a new one at some point in the future or a new DKC game featuring the return of K. Rool.

As far as Smash goes, the one newcomer I'm hoping for is a certain earth-themed fighter that you all know I support

As for Zelda being the highest selling amiibo in North America and Europe- colour me surprised, I figured that it would be someone like Mario or Link. Ah well, I guess people really dig the graceful and stylish TP Zelda.

Not really interested in the new Miimoto game, though the confirmation of Nintendo further pushing their existing IPs in ways they haven't before is intriguing.

Well the amiibos are also of the most popular Nintendo characters as well though. People can try to pretend all they like but Mario will always be more popular then Shulk. So having the more popular characters have more made then the characters with smaller fanbases makes perfect sense from a business stand point.

I'm now getting interested in seeing TPHD soon. I've been wanting to play it for some time, and its funny how that and Wind Waker were remade for the Wii U. Guess waiting was worth it lol.

The reveal of more games for the rest of the the holiday season strengthens my thought there's a direct coming next week.

Honestly, if that one poorly made 'lol I hacked Youtube' leak wasn't so 'lol I hacked Youtube,' I'd totally believe the 10/30 date reported because tomorrow makes the most sense. They should want to get the word out sooner rather than later. It's not likely that'll happen now on such short notice, but that stock dip should've lit a fire under their pants.

Black Friday is right around the corner. There's no business sense in holding back any longer. Next week or bust.

In all fairness, as long as the games are announced/released before Black Friday, Nintendo should be fine. But it'd make more sense to announce them early November to give families time to budget stuff out.

Considering many American families begin Christmas shopping in October (my mom was asking me for ideas in August, for crying out loud), they're already late.

I don't think a remake would be made by the same team that's building a new Zelda game though. It actually makes sense considering they wanted to get a new Zelda game out for Wii U by the holiday season. A direct re-release wouldn't cut it.

Okay, here's a fun idea to pass the time. If you could give a rating out of ten for the DLC characters we got so far, what number would you give them and why? I'd give them a solid 7/10, a pretty good selection so far. You got your solid returning veterans who adds their own style to the roster(Mewtwo and Lucas) with the addition of a well-implemented third-party icon like Ryu who ends up being very unique due to his Street Figher mechanics like his multiple normals based off how hard you press the A button in a direction and the SF inputs. Roy himself ended up being successfully Luigified, being less of a Marth clone than before, changes that please me.
