Smash 3DS has been biding my time well for the past 2 days
I was doing Random 3v1s and I got me as Luigi with Brunette Peach and Purin VS Ike on Mario Maker

I can't see us getting a Direct any point after November 6th. Especially if they have unreleased games coming out. We need time to A) learn about the game, and B) be able to buy the game before Black Friday. I don't think the 13th or later is enough time. Also, i'm trying to be optimistic and have us get a Direct earlier than normal because we're strapped for news.

Eh, I don't know. While I don't mind the idea of being able to customize my Miis further, I don't mind the simplicity. Plus it'd be easier to put them in a game through colors than having to take in mind every specific costume.

By the way for future reference...80% of all of the Famitsu Scans come from Bri Bri on his website, Japanese3DS. He's the best source for scans and does them for the benefit of everyone. Elliot also posts some scans on his site DokoDokiKusoge. Subscribe/ follow them if you want the scans as quickly as possible, or have questions about them. Elliot speaks fluent Japanese.

The Wii U is a console that hasn't necessarily fared well within' this console generation. It's not necessarily a failure, but it failed to captivate it's audience that it was meant to capture/interest. Suffice to say, I can say it has finally reached a certain landmark and achieved one great goal. Even though it took a really long time and a lot of hard work/dedication, the Nintendo Wii U has finally managed to outsell the Sega Dreamcast.

The Wii U is probably one of the most underrated game consoles of all time. It has a range of many titles that has the ability to captivate an entire gaming generation including some of the best Nintendo First-Party titles and some neat Third-Party exclusives.

Let's celebrate this gaming milestone and what it has really accomplished.

The Xbox avatars aren't bad but they have those dead eyes look and it feels weird but it isn't bad for customization sake

The only area where Xbox Avatars totally win is the customization side of things. Mii avatars are all about the face, so I doubt any sort of customization for other parts of the body will make it in anytime soon. And I think that makes perfect sense.

PlayStation never had a definitive avatar concept other than the one featured in PlayStation Home, but that was utterly realistic as heck. Then again I guess it was targeted towards its intended audience, so...

May want to throw a spoiler on that one.

Basically, the frame rate drops significantly and loading times are increased. Other than that, the game still looks fine.

Makes me think about the Ice Climbers in Smash. That may have been the problem the development team had to deal with and maybe if the game had been made with New 3DS's hardware in mind, they would've been able to run well.

Likewise, I do wonder if 8 ICs on the Wii U could cause similar problems, considering the 8P mode implements similar restrictions as the 3DS version does (lesser stage elements, lesser polygons in models). When pausing the game on the 3DS, the model quality of the characters actually gets better. Some stages on the 3DS have restrictions when playing 4P matches with wireless connection (either online or local): for example, on Reset Bomb Forest, the breakable elements are removed altogether and enemies don't appear either. I think the Klap Traps on Jungle Japes are removed under the same conditions.

It's kinda funny how more and more powerful handheld systems are getting. Back in the DS/GBA days Smash on a portable console would be considered impossible; Let alone something like Xenoblade. Hell, we're getting HD games on freaking phones of all things.

It just goes to show how much technology has improved over the years.
