So... I was a little misinformed. There is no trailer for Zelda U whatsoever, which is to be expected.

Instead. Famitsu is having an interview with Aounuma about Zelda U that will apparently release more info. This is apparently going live on October 22nd.

These are all market predictions, with a tad bit of inside knowledge. Though once again. My guy's an Analyst. His job isn't reporting any true leaks from inside.

We should expect a Direct REAL SOON. We all know this of course. But he says he'd be shocked if it didn't happen within the next 2-3 weeks. 3 would be a shocker for him. They want to get news out before true Holiday shopping begins. Next Thursday or the Tuesday after are his best bets. But it could also be sometime this week or early next. Specifically penning the 22nd this week as a possibility. If he was in Nintendo's shoes, he would have done the Direct before these big titles like Assassin's Creed or Halo come out. Which is why he's confused why there hasn't been one yet.

If any of you are into Call of Duty. He's pretty confident in next year's game being a Modern Warfare collection on next-gem consoles. There might be 2 game coming out next year. They're not sure how to pace the releases as they don't want one game to canabalize the other. For example: People love Modern Warfare 2. If people hate the "new game", then they won't play it when they already have Modern Warfare 2 upgraded. He hasn't heard a peep out of Infinity Ward regarding a new title. Which leads him to believe they aren't making a new game as a semi-"punishment" (for lack of a better word. It's professional business. It's a business decision, not a petty parent penalizing their child) for the flop that was CoD: Ghosts. (Actual inside info: CoD Ghosts had good sales It's COD. But it's server population and DLC sales were the lowest of the series ever). Another issue is since (I guess this is some little known info) a lot of games only turn a profit with DLC. CoD hasn't had this issue, but dying sales have put the possibility on the radar. They don't know how to sell DLC for a MW collection.

That's it. Don't expect these too much y'all. I don't want to be treated like a "leaker". Just a connection. It's awkward too of course to have all of our conversations interrupted by questions about the man's work lmao. I'll always get what I can for you guys tho <3

Seriously, they say to be optimistic, but really in this thread, there's hardly any being realistic.
And we totally need a dosage of that.

The way I see it, Twilight Princess HD is on the cards to be revealed soon, so if there's a Direct, that might be why. Same for the first mobile game.

As for everything else? It's all in Nintendo's hands, we're not going to know anything about it until any official announcement, and frankly, we shouldn't. At this point, we've waited so long since anything new that a few more days, or even weeks likely won't make that much of a difference.
After all, the longer we wait, the more they'll have to show to us. Hopefully. Until then, we need to look at things they way they're shown to us, and stop placing credibility in random Internet users.

It's not the focus of the interview.

But I just couldn't stand the game. The game's Time to Kill was ridiculously fast for certain weapons compared to others. The balance was wonky. And the paint would lag at least in half of my matches (and I have pretty good internet).

I just really couldn't stand the game. I come from a history of pretty tight shooters such as Halo, and while I didn't expect Splatoon to be like that in any way... I didn't expect the balance to ruin my experience.

With my PS3 catch-up-a-thon though I'm pretty much exclusively playing Red Dead at the moment.

I didnt have too many balanced based issues.

I played slightly differently depending on my skills and splatting people from behind and using bombs/traps is better for slower killing weapons. Plus slower killing weapons usually do so because they spread ink out more, making them better for covering turf. Besides, covering turf>>staying alive (in order to cover turf)>>splatting enemies(slowing/reversing enemy turf spread).

And the advanced modes change things up a lot.

I dunno, try using a different style of play.

Splatoon is one of those games like Pikmin, Zelda and other games where I never really cared about and I really didn't enjoy a lot but I understand how good the game is and why its popular.

Even then I was rarely into shooters and the only ones I've enjoyed had great campaign modes I replay a lot.

And those games were Bioshock, Doom and Halo 1-3 & Reach

I think for a first entry in the series it's pretty good.

One day there'll be a Splatoon 2 which fixes a lot of gameplay issues and rewards tactic and skill.

I bought splatoon today exactly. Its alright I suppose lack of voice chat really does kill the fun and the kills don't feel as satisfying as something like gears of war (which isn't a fair comparison mind you). Already a level 6 and the gameplay and music is great just a mixed bag of feelings right now
