So I watched the trailer. **** looks basic. Graphics are nice though.

I still think this game is being rushed. You could fool me if you told me this game was to be releasing in a month. Nintendo would just rather put out a rushed meh Tennis game than a rushed meh Star Fox because they at least need something this holiday. I agree with their choice.

I don't particularly hate or strongly like any Mario character... Because they're pretty one dimensional for obvious reasons.
Only two I can legit say I like as a CHARACTER is because she has actual back story and a calmer demeanor, and because of how much more fleshed out he's become with the Mansion games and RPGs and such. But that's still not much compare to so many of my other favorite characters from other series.

can be better thanks to the Wario Ware titles but I still find all the OTHER Wario characters more interesting since they're always doing something new each game while Wario just greeds himself up 24/7.

I find her face fine, I think they balanced her out in the most recent styles of her (post Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games) imo.
But I'm sorry, I love her eyes, it makes her seem "lively". Which goes with her personality and all.

Hi, I'm Daisy is the most overrated reason to hate a character.

Same for when people whine about Toad's high pitched wails.

Voice clips are far from a logical or okay reason to hate a character.

I mean, if a character's voice annoys you, I fail to see why that's not a valid reason to dislike them. Like, I don't dislike Silver as a character, for example, but the amount that his voice clips during the Sonic '06 battles drove me up a wall would, IMO, definitely be justification to hate him if I did.

As far as I'm concerned, you don't really need a "logical" or "okay" reason to hate a fictional character, or even a reason at all. If you hate one of my favorite characters I'll probably want to fight you because I get very attached to my favorite characters, but as long as you're not using that as justification to harass somebody who likes them, or being particularly nasty about it with the knowledge that somebody you're talking to likes that character -- and having a bad reason for hating a fictional character does not automatically come hand-in-hand with that -- I don't see why it really matters.

I don't know I think it's cause I look at it from a specific mind set of it takes a lot of things to make a fictional character whole. And if only one part of them is bad? I think that's a pretty passing grade. So it just seems silly to hate them all together for one tiny little detail of them.

is a princess with emotional issues as super powers and is competitive as hell
just wants to be a Star and the hero sometimes
is a greedy badass who has the ladies all over him and doesn't give a damn about what he does
is a gorilla who likes sex
Waluigi is just an asshole that no one likes and is a big showoff
Daisy is a sassy black woman living in the desert.
is just everyone's babysitter and is probably smarter than most people
is a tech geek with mommy issues
is just some nice librarian
And is just a cheeky cheap mofo who pretty much made ZeRo too dominant than he should have been.

Classifying disliking any aspect of a character as "fine" is a slippery slope.

Let's say I dislike Daisy because she is a woman. Is that "fine"?

The line is going to have to be drawn somewhere over what's fine to dislike and what isn't... this is just a discussion about where that line is it seems. I think disliking a character based on voice is valid, but when it's just a few voice clips instead of like full dialogue it does seem a little picky.

I mean, yeah, on a personal level, it takes a lot for me to hate fictional characters. They have to be actively awful in some way, enough so that they are not interesting or redeemable in some way, etc. But if other people want to hate characters indiscriminately, I don't see much point in me trying to tell them they need to have reasoning for it. I know people who do that and it's definitely maddening to me, but I also kind of feel like it's just kind of their loss because I find it a lot more fun to try and appreciate characters.

The ghost in my avy has the most tragic tale. He was betrayed and murdered by the company who still uses characters from his game as their mascot anyway after killing him.

In terms of the voice debate, I can kinda see voices as a valid reason to dislike a character if it's a character you hear constantly. Like Ashly Burch as Rise. Rise is basically the main character of P4D and Ashly's voice does not suit her at all, so many people kinda had that as the nail in the coffin to decide to not get P4D, knowing they'd have to listen to Ashly force that voice for hours.
(note, I love Ashly to death but she definitely doesn't fit that character and strains herself way too much to try and get to sound like Rise)

Edit: in terms of when it's a character you don't hear all the time, voice doesn't seem like as big of a deal. But when it's a dialogue heavy game and the voice is awful, it can definitely turn people off from that character.
