Like seriously, poor guy. All the other Olympian gods are practically Adonises, while he got beat with the ugly stick. Then he got literally thrown from Olympus because he had a lame leg. But he still made things for all the Olympians since he was the God of the Forge.

Oh, and then he gets together with Aphrodite of all people. Just when things are looking up for ol' Hephy, she cheats on him with Ares. Continuously. And she never even loved him; she was repulsed by him.

But really, poor Hephaestus. He was one of the nicer Olympians too.

Still a good point, but there's also the factor of he's the one who told other people, so everything boils down to him. Stealth and other people hyping it up is really on him because he told people something he was supposed to be keeping a secret and they started blowing it up and teasing people that they knew. This is a relatively smart move on his part, but in all fairness he should be willing to accept most of the blame for it because he told others but then tweeted like "I can't say anything about it". He really brought it on himself by doing that. Honestly, if nothing happens and his rep is tarnished, I won't really feel bad for him.
In fact, part of me is wondering if he'll out his source if the 23rd comes around and nothing happens.

I totally agree about trying to let it die down in case it is fake though. It's better to kill the hype earlier on.

I don't think Roger ever admitted that he was the source for Stealth and others. Stealth pointed to Roger however. I think Roger seems to imply that Stealth got info elsewhere but perhaps from the same source Roger got his info.

Actually, this is right. I got the Athena and Zeus story mixed up. Yeah, Zeus's mom tricked Cronus by feeding him a rock. Then Zeus came back and freed his siblings.

I don't remember Stealth saying Roger told him, only that he pointed to Roger's tweet and basically said "we're talking about the same thing". It's a pretty safe assumption that Roger did tell Stealth though, I'm just saying I've never seen any proof that Roger admits he's the source for people like Stealth. There's that chance that Roger's source is Stealth's source.

That's just positioning by Roger. If he'd waiting until the deadline it would've appeared too late and a real backpedal. Plus, this allows us to simmer until the deadline. This really is the best card he could've played. Trust me, the anger would've been tenfold if he waited until the middle of the 23rd to be like, "maybe I was wrong or my source lied".
