Disney Infinity fan eh? I actually just ordered Venom a few minutes ago. He's one of the last 3 characters I'm missing from 2.0.

I'm going to get 3.0 on Black Friday probably.

I've been so behind with getting more figures due to amiibo.

Like, at least with Infinity you don't need to deal with "get this right now or it's gone forever" and all that. It's a lot easier to just collect as you wish over time, which is really nice IMO.

I'll likely be getting 3.0 this Black Friday as well, as well as pick up some of the missing 1 and 2.0 stragglers, like Falcon, Elsa, and Donald.

That'd line up with Scarlet Witch pretty well I think: to my knowledge she hasn't been shown in the prerelease stuff for Civil War, so if they gave her a Civil War style base like Ant-Man, Cap, Black Panther, and Vision have, as opposed to Hulkbuster and Ultron's Age of Ultron styled base, it'd be more of a spoiler.

That's my current theory anyway. Scarlet Witch makes way too much sense to leave out.

It wasn't intended to be.

They have nothing else. I don't understand why you're labeling it as such when it's a role that was forced upon it. Star Fox Zero was supposed to be the "tentpole game".

Were they supposed to pull some non-existent game out of a hat to serve as SF0's replacement, or delay Xenoblade X so it doesn't have the burden of being labeled the holiday seller? There is no "tentpole Wii U game" this holiday season.

It's not like it's all about games coming out in November and December, and anything released prior no longer exists. Super Mario Maker has proven to be a system seller, and I don't think that's going to change just because it came out in September.

Considering it's supposed to be a single-game Direct, that's actually a possibility. Plenty of single-game Directs have aired without any sort of announcement beforehand (Mario Kart 8 and Tomodachi Life off the top of my head).

You can play as any of the characters in the actual gameplay, right? Are they differentiated at all? There's so many...

For the toy box, you can play as anyone. For the playsets, which are the more structured ones, you can only use select characters. Like, you can't use Elsa in the Avengers playset, but Elsa and Iron Man can both play in the user-created toybox levels.

For that, you can blame the higher ups. Lasseter wouldn't even give the okay to the game if it weren't the case.

Oh I must have missed that about Captain America. Scarlet Witch seems kind of likely except for the fact that I can't imagine any way they'd make her and not Quicksilver.

Right, the source could've just as easily been suggesting that we'll be getting Geno at the end of this Splatoon Direct. Or maybe Goku. Maybe the "smashing surprise" is a new map in Splatoon where you can smash stuff.

Kidding aside, everyone saying "DEY DIDNT SAY INKLING WOULD BE IN SMASH!" are being silly. Who cares if that's not what they said, word for word? It's what was quite blatantly suggested, to the point where it might as well be viewed as exactly what they were saying. There is no other logical explanation as to what they could've meant.

For the toy box, you can play as anyone. For the playsets, which are the more structured ones, you can only use select characters. Like, you can't use Elsa in the Avengers playset, but Elsa and Iron Man can both play in the user-created toybox levels.

For that, you can blame the higher ups. Lasseter wouldn't even give the okay to the game if it weren't the case.

I think they said that Marvel has a lot of sway in which characters get in, so that may explain Quicksilver.

I could see War Machine, but probably in 4.0.

Also, can't say I disagree there, though I'm willing to forgive Hulkbuster in the sense that he's at least a wildly different armor set.

I really liked Quicksilver in AOU so I'd be beyond bummed if they put Witch in and not him. But I guess it's more possible than putting Quicksilver in without Witch.

Sucks that Marvel are all bent over the characters if they don't own the movie rights. I'd love to see some X-Men. They'd probably make for some of the most fun/interesting/unique characters to use too.

Directs that cover a single game in specific are often uploaded to Youtube with no prior announcement and aren't even streamed at all. Examples include Mario Kart 8 and Tomodachi Life.

We can't really write the leak off for not being announced beforehand regardless of how many days are left until the 23rd.
